I don't check into POR until the 14th but...I sure will need a drink at River Roost after my 21+ hour drive down!

Thanks for clarifying that - the CM I spoke to said I would be able to upgrade but the PH I currently have is at a discounted price as I bought advance tickets. Either way I can't see us hopping so I am happy to have $292 in my pocket :teeth:

Did you buy before the prices went up? Maybe that's what the CM was referring to. Did the PH price go up this year?

Did the PH price go up this year?

Yes, the price increased by $2. It was $55 now it's up to $57. I've seen posts by Cheshire Figment stating the PH was $55 and we're she's stating it's now $57. She updated the sticky she created as well.

If you bought your tickets before the price increase, then you currently do/did have the lower cost of PH. I forgot the price to add PH went up as well. Still $292 in your pocket isn't bad.

We're still debating on whether or not we want to get PH ourselves. Still trying to decide how many park days we actually want to do. DW and I are staying off-site with family for the first half of our trip. We're extending our vacation a little longer and staying on-site at CBR (after the family leaves back home). The day we check-in we're just going to tour the resort, hang out at the pool and have a nice dinner. Don't know yet what we want to do the other 4 days we're there. Only thing we've decided at the moment is where to eat.

I did purchase prior to price hike but the CM said that when you buy a package in advance you get a better deal so, if I upgrade when there I will have to pay the full rate .... but we all know CMs can be wrong :p

Huh, weird thing is I have just crunched the numbers - it works out $58.50 per person savings. Ugh. Now I'm confused :rotfl:

Exactly. My original schedule had us hopping only once which is why I started to question it. That money will pay for our MVMCP tix.

What day do you arrive?

$55 + Tax.

We arrive in Orlando on 12/1.
Check-in to CBR on 12/11. We'll be doing some park days at WDW with family, before we check-in to CBR.

We're going to MVMCP on Thursday 12/6.

How about yourself?

We're there 12/7 - 12/13 MVMCP 12/11 :)

12/7 I know we'll be at MK. Have breakfast ADR for CRT. Probably stay at MK until 2-3 in the afternoon. Have dinner ADR at Shula's. Since we're staying off-site, we'll need time to go back and get ready.
12/8 we'll be at Epcot. Have CPDP for LeCellier.
12/9 going to the dark side (Islands of Adventure). I must confess, I like IoA myself.
12/10 we'll be at AK. Lunch ADR for RFC.
12/11 check-in to CBR. Dinner ADR at Yatchman's
12/12 is still up in the air as to what we're doing during the day. Possibly going to DTD. Have a dinner ADR for Cape May.

So if you're around any of these places during these days, look for LGMH and say HI. :wave2:

I absolutely will :)

Just realized I haven't posted my complete itinerary/ADR schedule yet. Doing some old favorites but trying a lot of new places this trip.

12/1: Arrive in Orlando and check-in to offsite resort. Arrive late, so no park day.
12/2: Sea World
12/3: Islands of Adventure. Hoping to try Pastamore.
12/4: Universal Studios. Hard Rock Cafe.
12/5: DHS. 4pm dinner ADR @ 50's PTC
12/6: MVMCP. No ADR for this day. Probably just do CS, but considering PH.
12/7: MK. 8:10am breakfast ADR @ CRT. 7pm dinner ADR @ Shula's Steakhouse.
12/8: Epcot. 11:55am CPDP for Le Cellier.
12/9: Islands of Adventure. Margaritaville.
12/10: AK. 1pm lunch ADR @ RFC
12/11: Check-out offsite and check-in to CBR. Pool Day. 7:05pm dinner ADR @ Yatchman's Steakhouse.
12/12: Still up in the air. Possibly go to MK and do walking tour. 7pm dinner ADR @ Cape May.
12/13: DTD for sure. 6pm dinner ADR @ T-Rex
12/14: Epcot. 5:50pm dinner ADR @ The Garden Grill
12/15. Check-out day.

oooh maybe you could check out the new Be Our Guest restaurant - its the only ADR I have left to snag. I think Disney Dining might crash and burn the day that opens for ressies :teeth:

I'll have to try and snag a dinner ADR for this. Thinking around 5:30 or 6. I know we can get into MK at 4 for MVMCP.

I'm Buying our tickets through UT. Trying to stick with the 6-day ticket if we can. Since we'll be doing MVMCP, figured we'll get to MK close to 4 so we don't have to use a day on our regular park tickets. The difference between a 6-Day ticket and 7-Day ticket (with PH) is $31/person. Figured we can apply that $31 to each of our MVMCP tickets.

Sounds like a plan ;)

What are the benefits of buying through UT, if any?

Only benefit is that the tickets are cheaper. DW and I got a room only discount pin. So we are using that for our stay at CBR.

Thanks - maybe for our next trip I need to take that into account. Haven't gone on this trip yet and already outlining the next trip :rotfl:

I know what you mean. DW and I are also taking a trip to DL. The DL trip is next month. So where ever I can save at the moment, the better.
