Hello everybody. Today I decided after talking with my husband to book a vacation package and go to Walt Disney world in December. We will be there from December 10-15. This is our first time ever at Disney. We have two boys(don't judge lol) but have decided to make this an adults vacation. Don't make me feel too bad they would not remember a thing they are 18 months, and 1 month. I feel old going to Disney at 24, when reading these threads and many have been there 20 times or more by my age. We wanted to do the romantic thing so any suggestion about where to eat or must see things or special extras that are not advertised as much. I am feeling very happy, and excited. I am a huge fan of the movies, and I adore absolutely adore Christmas so this should be a blast.

You are going to love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Christmas is so pretty in Disney.

I know we have a lot of Mass/NH residents here so I just wanted to post that I went to the Merrimack Premium Outlets yesterday in Merrimack, NH and it was awesome... and they have a Disney Outlet store!!! Let DD pick out a Tangled lunchbox for her preschool lunches (she starts in September 2 days a week!) and DH and I picked out our first ever Mickey and Minnie shirts. Well, since we were like 5. Saving them for our December trip!

Ok you just made my day! It's quite a haul for me (I live in Northern NH.... Like White Mountains Northern NH) but I am in need of a pick me up --- and a Disney outlet sounds like just the thing!!!! Hmmmm now when to go! :yay:

Awesome I'm in the Upper Valley, NH and excited to see the Merrimack Outlets with a Disney outlet! My parents live on the sea cost and they took the Disney store out of the mall over there!!!!!

Nice finds!!! What is the exact name of the Disney outlet by you. I think there are 3 different outlets by Disney: Disney Store outlet, Disney Premiere (or something like that, and Disney Character Warehouse. I went to the latter, as there is one about 40 mins from my house. Latest post in my PTR includes pics of my finds there.

I think on our way into WDW we are going to stop at the outlet store that is located not to far from DTD... Hoping to find some decent stuff to get for the kids at a lower price. Has anyone been to the Premium Outlet there? Is it worth the stop?

I love the classic, not so over the top look myself. Of course, I love the crazy merchandise to but, I wouldn't wear it. :goodvibes I'm not a pin collector but, I love those Epcot Pins on the blog.

I'm sorry! Don't be down... If I had to choose between cooking at Disney or staying home, I would DEFINITELY cook/make sandwiches to ensure a Disney trip! You will have a wonderful time, and you won't have to worry about all those useless calories. pixiedust:
I agree I would cook too!! What kind of room do you have? Maybe we can give OP suggestions for things to make/bring?? Heck, If I decide on a car I was even thinking of running to EOS a few time to cut a sub in half for lunch(for our cooler), and just beefing it up with home brought snacks!

I also keep an eye on sales at home or on Disney Store Online. I'm planning on surprising DD with a little gift bag everyday from Mickey. Of course all the items were picked up from the $1 bin at Target and Disney Clearance racks! I even got some glow sticks at the Dollar Store and one of those parade twirly light things at Michaels for $2.50

We have been to Disney many, many, many times but my 3 favorite times are 1) first time we took our granddaughter; 2) first time we took our own kids, and 3) the time DH & I went a couple of days before Christmas - it was great - really relaxing and romantic. Enjoy your time together!! :)

All I have is a walmart close buy (yeck!) The closest shopping is Concord NH - Sometimes I really miss jersey living... I am going to build a park explorers kit for my girls, so hopefully on the few trips I make to Southern NH between now and xmas I can find some good deals :) I have found that the dollar store has a lot of Disney stuff (my favorite being the coloring books!!) I wish I had access to a target or Disney store! Soon enough! Fingers crossed I can sell this house next spring and move back to civilization!!!

Yeah, I was just at my local Target in those dollars bins. They have hard and soft cover Mickey/Minnie books. There was also a Mickey and princess travel pack with crayons, coloring sheets, and stickers.

I am the OP for this; we have a one bedroom at SSR so we have a full kitchen (DVC). I would love some ideas we won't have a car so I am going to have to order from somebody (suggestions please). I don't mind cooking but I am always so tired after being in the parks all day, so I want easy to fix and even easier to clean up.

I completely understand. My family has a cabin in Thornton, NH. There are select places to go shopping up there. We usually drive to Plymouth and go to Walmart.

ATTENTION SOUTHWEST PASSENGERS

They are having a sale right now! I just checked our flights and got a $140.00 credit!

It was so simple. If you find your flights have a reduced price go onto the homepage and in the top right corner click change flights...it is really that easy!

"Select" haha you mean you don't think the Lincoln/Woodstock area is a shopping Mecca??? I'm about an hour west of Plymouth.

Disney Parks Blog just updated with some cool artwork that will be in BoG and Gaston's Tavern. I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE ALL OF THIS IN PERSON!!

I checked it out. Sales ends on Dec 14th. We fly out on Dec 15th. :( My flights have actually gone up, so at least I am glad I bought them right away. :thumbsup2

Could you explain this a little more? So we have a 6 day park hopper right now purchased from UT. If I go into the parks I can add a day onto our tickets for just $10/person? Really?

Really. :goodvibes You have to enter a park first!!!!! That is key. Then go to guest services anytime before all your days are used to add a day. It will just cost you the Disney price of going from a 6 day to a 7 day, which is $10 right now. There is a ticket sticky in the Theme Parks Attractions and Strategies forum all about upgrading tickets. Cheshire Figment is a part time CM in ticketing/guest servieces.
