I did purchase prior to price hike but the CM said that when you buy a package in advance you get a better deal so, if I upgrade when there I will have to pay the full rate .... but we all know CMs can be wrong :p

Disney always wants you to think you're getting a deal on a package but it's not. We never do the dining plan so no packages for us. Last big trip we got tickets from UT. This time we have APs. I'm pretty excited about the options an AP opens up to slip into the park just for a meal or a show or to catch the monorail. (I have yet to ride the monorail at Disney World.)

I'll have to try and snag a dinner ADR for this. Thinking around 5:30 or 6. I know we can get into MK at 4 for MVMCP.

I'm Buying our tickets through UT. Trying to stick with the 6-day ticket if we can. Since we'll be doing MVMCP, figured we'll get to MK close to 4 so we don't have to use a day on our regular park tickets. The difference between a 6-Day ticket and 7-Day ticket (with PH) is $31/person. Figured we can apply that $31 to each of our MVMCP tickets.

That huge jump in price is because UT gives you 6 days for the price of 5. If you use your tickets to enter a park and then add a day, it will just be the $10 to add the day. We did this last year. Also just to clarify, Cheshire Figment is a man named Mike. :)

I'll keep this in mind should we decide to add a day. DW is liking the idea of having a couple of days to relax by the pool. We may also resort hop to look at all the holiday decorations.

Hahah I get 'anxiety' looking at the Roll Call for another reason-- it is top heavy! Where are all the later in the month Roll Callers? Lot of people on the list for the first half of the month; the latter not so much! Plus we need someone to arrive on the 19th and 31st. It bugs me that those dates are empty. hahahahah ;)

NO, the fewer people the better! ;) As if. :rotfl: I know the crowds will be insane :scared:, but NYE is DH's idea... and I'm crazy enough to say Sure, let's do it!:rotfl2:

Even Christmas Eve and Christmas Day are looking a little thin. :scared: It's the Dis though, we all learned it's best to go at the beginning of the month. :lmao:

Exactly. We've been from T'giving wknd into first wk of Dec, and it was GREAT! pixiedust: TTC looked like a ghost town, no one wandering thru except us!!

So jealous of all of you making ADR's. The only way I could fit a December trip was if I was willing to cook and eat in your room. Guess I would rather cook at Disney then not be at Disney.

Does anyone think that Hollywood Studios will add a second showing of Fantasmic! for December? :smickey: My girlfriend and I are planning on doing Hollywood Studios on 12/20 (Thursday), and I'm hoping that there will be two showings of Fantasmic!...we'd go to the second one so the lines aren't *so* bad. Am I getting my hopes up for nothing?

I booked a Fantasmic! Dining Package ADR at Mama Melrose in case they don't do a second showing, but I'd much rather do dinner at Sci-Fi or 50's Prime-Time (I haven't heard many good reviews about Mama Melrose).

P.S. :thanks: to everyone who looked at/commented on my PTR. I'm trying hard to relax, and not over-analyze/over-plan the trip, but I keep wanting to do mini tweaks. It's my first WDW trip, and there's so much I want to do...but also know that I can't do it all, so I'm trying to pick and choose what do to.

You mean Hollywood Studios ;)

This is what I am hoping for too. Historically, the further into November/December the more chance of a second show at 8pm. Towards the end of December it goes back to one showing.

Could you explain this a little more? So we have a 6 day park hopper right now purchased from UT. If I go into the parks I can add a day onto our tickets for just $10/person? Really?

We were talking with my Mom the other night and our orignal plan was to leave our house on Monday and arrive at Pop on Tuesday, she said that we could leave on SUNDAY!!! :cool1: (She's watching our kids!) So we would need to add a day to our reservation (not complaining at all) We plan to just spend Monday relaxing and resort hopping to see all the decorations and probably will head to DTD. Tuesday we are still going to keep our original plans of MVMCP and just have a day to sleep in (a luxury we don't get to often with our boys) and then making our way to MK so we can get in at 4. I'm so excited I can't stand it

I have started to shop for DH and I for our trip. I got DH a Perry shirt and myself a mickey/minnie shirt from the Disney Store Outlet for $20/2. I plan to order us shirts for our anniversary (DH gave the green light so I am doing it before he changes his mind).... http://www.etsy.com/listing/101468213/custom-disney-anniversary-shirt-set-1 ... The design will be a little different since it will be our 10th anniversary.

Can't wait to see how everyone's planning is going and hear all about it. Time to go follow some PTR and think about doing one of my own for the first time ever.

This sounds so amazing! A day to relax and sleep in!!!! Oh gosh, my wildest dreams would of come true!!! Enjoy! :goodvibes

Maybe we'll switch just to be in the "in-crowd" :cool1: And BDL my lime green Mickey head will say "Thank you Stop & Shop" :rotfl:

I am going over Christmas and this is my first trip that I've planned and I have analyzed, planned and driven everyone around me insane. Personally, I think that's the best part lol :)

I have the same Fantasmic! ADR as you, at Mama Melrose's but I booked a fairly early lunch and then booked Sci Fi for 8.00pm so I can get the restaurant I want to do plus the package. I'm like you, heard not so good reviews on Mama Melrose's but I think they recently changed their chef so maybe that will change!

We'll be there at CBR Dec. 11 thru Dec.19. We have to get home so DDs can pick up missed school work on the 20th to get it all done over Winter Break. Well, not really, but we are going to get it for them.

Can't wait, we are celebrating DDs Sweet 16!!!!!

Yup, I did. I got it right later in the paragraph, but wrote it wrong the first time.

Hopefully the 20th will still be OK.

I'd do that, but that would put us three TS ADRs over my dining package (I'm already two over). The flip side would be to skip the dining package (I'm not doing free dining), and instead just do meals we want. I probably should price it all out, but it's so hard to guess what we'll be eating/how hungry we'll be.

That's true - that's the only problem with ADRs :) I hope you get it sorted out to how you want it. If you don't mind standing in line for the show, I suggest you do the meal you want and be prepared to wait if you need to. Easy for me to say, I know!! Good luck with it :)

I know we have a lot of Mass/NH residents here so I just wanted to post that I went to the Merrimack Premium Outlets yesterday in Merrimack, NH and it was awesome... and they have a Disney Outlet store!!! Let DD pick out a Tangled lunchbox for her preschool lunches (she starts in September 2 days a week!) and DH and I picked out our first ever Mickey and Minnie shirts. Well, since we were like 5. Saving them for our December trip!

LOVE those shirts :teeth: They have that classic look which I love. Oooh, did you see that thread on Theme Parks & Attraction new blog about merchandise? There were some really nice things - I was spending my money before I even get there :rotfl:

I'm sorry! Don't be down... If I had to choose between cooking at Disney or staying home, I would DEFINITELY cook/make sandwiches to ensure a Disney trip! You will have a wonderful time, and you won't have to worry about all those useless calories. pixiedust:

Hahahaha... :rotfl2:

I think I'll follow suit. I just went to S&S yesterday and cashed in my latest batch of lottery winners and got 2 $50 Disney gift cards.

Vaca by Stop & Shop.
