December 2011 Code Watch!

Hello:wave:I was reading your posts and have never received a pin by email..Can someone tell me what I need to do to get one? I would appreciate any advice or help! Thanks...from another Disney addict!

I have heard to make sure you're registered on their website, request the free planning dvd, go in and search and save some vacations, etc... I have done all of that and still not gotten a pin. It works for some, worth a try. Good luck!:goodvibes

You can call Disney direct to find out if you have a pin code associated with your name. As the pp mentioned registering on their web site, receiving emails, etc. will also help. But the best thing to do would be to call and find out.

Anyone else had any luck for December? I just called and was told I had nothing and that nothing would probably come out until August. DH won't let me book until we get a discount of some sort, but for the dates we want, we need to book dining soon. Ugh.... I want to go SO BADLY! LOL

In past years, discounts for December have been released in July/August. I am also waiting for a discount to be annouced before I book. You can still make your ADRs, you'd just have to do it one day at a time instead of the +10 days like if you had already booked. Those can be canceled easily if for some reason you end up not being able to go.

Thanks for the responses! I am registered on the Disney website and other Disney related sites but I guess I'm not one of the luck ones :sad1: I will try calling to see what happens, wish me luck! I need a Disney vacation very badly!!!!

My Mom got a pin code in her e-mail today. It's for 10%. We were hoping for the 30% that others have posted about or even the 40%. But 10% is better than nothing!!

Do you happen to know the number you call to find out? It's not the normal 800 number, right? I know I saw it mentioned somewhere and can't find it now.

Thanks!

Oh, and I know this isn't related to the code watch, but I'm working on my ADR plan for our trip (Dec 17-23). I think we're going to try California Grille this trip. We haven't done it yet. Do you all think it's worth the 2 dining credits?

Also, do you actually watch the fireworks from your table ... or should we plan to have dinner BEFORE the fireworks and then watch from their observation deck?

THANKS!

Joining the watch.

In regard to the California Grill. You can see the fireworks from some tables but you are not guaranteed one of these tables. There is an observation deck where you can leave your table and watch if you cant see from your seat.
I guess whether its worth 2 credits is a matter of opinion. Look online at the menu, decide what you would eat and whether it would be worth it to use 2 credits or pay out of pocket. We love the place!

Thanks for the opinion! I think if we go, we'll try to get our reservation for before the fireworks. I just don't like the idea of having to get up mid-meal to watch them. IF we get a table where we can see them, great, we can linger. If not, we'll eat and then go to the observation deck - I imagine they let you stay if you've just eaten, right? Is it a good view? You can see Tink fly, right?

Thanks again!

Its a great view and they dim the lights and play the music. I really cant remember about tink, you might be able to see her light but I dont think you would really be able to see her that well. You might miss some of the lower fireworks depending on where you are in the resturant, but you are up high so the view you get is great IMO.

Yes, it is the main number. I believe I chose the option for booking to find out if we had a pin code.

I got the 30% offer in my email on 5/12. I never even saw it until I searched my email for the keyword "disney" yesterday and found it. I doubt this covers the Pop Warner dates though, as most codes never do. Anyone know? Most of our trip overlaps that time (we're going 12/3-12/14).

I wouldn't be discouraged though if you're not getting a PIN. In the past 7 or so WDW trips, I've always been able to get some sort of discount or general public code eventually.

We went last year during Pop Warner week and had an e-mail pin for Free Dining! So as of last year they did!

Do they ever have code discounts for 12/26/11????:goodvibes We are staying at GF until our cruise 12/29/11.

Called to see if any PINs were attached to my name. Of course, no, lol. But I've seen/heard some people were getting Dec. pins. Of course, I get tons of them for the dates we aren't going but none for when we are planning too! :lmao:

I received an email today with a pin code for December. I am not sure if it is a good deal or not. It was for 30% off but isn't that what they are offering as the rack rates now?

I was quoted $2607.14 for a Preferred room at the Carribean Beach Club for 2 adults, 1 child and 1 child under 3. This is for 7 days lodging, park hoppers and dining plan.

What dates in December was the code for? Just curious because I had one before but we cancelled our trip and then rebooked it so I lost it. Now I am hoping for free dining or another room discount pin code.
