DECEMBER 2010....Who's comin??

I know i saw that i printed it out, what are the chances that the hours will shift? Plus i would really like to plan it out with Magic hours and Mickey's X-mas party event. I wont have park hopper tickets so need to be at Magic Kingdom day of the party!

Why do you need to be at MK day of the party? I think you only need your MVMCP ticket for the event, not a ticket to MK that day, at least that is how it worked for MNSSHP, we used that ticket to get in to the park at four and that was all we needed.

This is true. MVMCP is a seperate ticketed event and therefore any ticket is not needed. You can live local and just have a ticket for this event and may attend from 4-12.

And Hello! I'm just joining this thread. We are going to WDW from December 4-11 and staying at BCV. Our cast at trip time is me (42), DH (44), DD19 and her fiance (23). We've never been in December and are very excited about the special events!

I am so excited too. We are staying in sv at AKL I just upgraded last week. I received the 40% off pin code and I decided that since we are there for so long we would like the extra room. We have 10 day tickets and I am planning one day to resort hop. If I see your lights I will :wave2:

ME TOO!!! I got the Pin Code yesterday and upgraded from POP to AKL!!! I am so very excited! My son does not know about the trip as it is a surprise! We will be there 12/3-12/11! I can not wait! :goodvibes

Okay so we are in!!! Hook line and sinker!!!
We were just there in January, but thanks to the tax man, planning a return trip at the beginning of December. Really excited about Christmas because my son has never experienced disney with all the christmas decorations and music, etc.
We are staying likely at AKL with DVC Rented Points, unless I get a really good PIN Code...(Praying for the 40% code). Sooooooo excited to be back.:love::love:

Booked 11/28-12/4 WOOHOO!:dance3: At POFQ
We always go at spring break cant wait to see it decorated for Christmas.

Might think about upgrading if I get a pin or they come out with a good offer for general public but regardless we get to see the mouse:santa:

We are going December 26- January 2!! We are going to stay at the Wilderness Lodge- my first DELUXE resort experience! Soooo excited!! :mickeyjum:mickeyjum:mickeyjum

I've been at Disney on the 4th of July and the lines were terrible, and that was in the heat. I am hoping this time will be better just because it will be cooler. Any advice?

December 9 - 14, 2010, Contemporary Resort, Tower Magic Kingdom View.:cool1:

I decided to change my ressie and now will be staying at the Wilderness Lodge, 12/9/-12/16/10. I understand the WL is spectacular during the holidays!:santa:

My wife and I are taking our 3 kids 12/2-12/8, ages DS7, DS5 and DD3. We can't wait. We just finalized the adoption of DS5 and DD3 and this will be there first visit. DS7 has been to Disneyland on 2007 and can't wait to experience WDW. We will be staying at All Star Music in the suites. What is a must do during this trip? I've been to WDW many times, but never during the holidays. For some reason, my parents always insisted we go in the summer or Easter!

We are planning to go to Disney For December 2-5 and Stay in the All-Star Music Family Suites!

i bet we run into each other! i see you've stayed at ASMR before. Is there a certain area of suites that are better than others in regards to location, etc.?

December 7-12th: AKV studio
December 12th-16th: Podcast cruise 2.0

We have to get in two days of Universal to see Harry Potter world. One MVMCP, and using GDGD tix for DHS to see the Osbourne lights! First time we have been down to see the holiday decorations, so excited!!!!!:goodvibes

We're there 9th -12th Boardwalk the Podcast cruise 2.0

We are all booked at Bay lake Towers. We are there from 12/5/12/12.

Cool, maybe we'll see you there, we're in the tower the 6th-11th. So-if you see a very tall football-player-looking man who hates "Mickey" being dragged around by a petite woman with too much energy-please say hi! :lmao:

Wow, congrats on the adoptions! And thank you so much for investing in those children!!!

I too didn't go during Christmastime on my many childhood trips to WDW, I've had a few day trips as an adult. Definately do the Osborne lights @ DHS, and allow more time for them than you'll think you need! And take lots of time to just stare at the Christmas decoratins on Main Street in Magic Kingdom, the combination of Christmas and Disney is really just breathtaking!

Going week after Thanksgiving! Staying until the 5 or 4th. Haven't made ressies yet, still desiding on resort. :rolleyes1 My DH is really taking his time... :headache: We got the 20/30/40 PIN He doesn't think we need to book yet!! Can you believe THAT. I will need to tell him that rooms for the discount codes are limited, that might up some fire under his you know what! :lmao: This will be our familymoon/DH b-day trip. We are traveling with my DD-17 and our DS -3.

We will either stay at the following:
Value: POP
Mod: CSR
Delux: AKL (please please...):lovestruc

I didn;t read all the posts but I read somewhere that there will be some dance and pop warner thing/conventions going on duriong this time. Anyone heard about that and how they affect things??

Pop Warner football and cheerleading championships this year will be Dec 4-11. Most of them stay at All star resorts, and the moderate changes each year. I would recommend staying at the AKL, because they really don't stay at the deluxe resorts. We are going the week of Pop Warner and will be staying at the Poly.

I received my pin code back in March and all the CL GV rooms at the Poly that you could use with the pin were taken. So we ended up up grading our view and adding two nights, which is the same price we had booked for a lesser view and less nights. So if you really want a particular category of room I would book now. Maybe that will get your husband in motion.

We are visiting WDW the same time and used our pin to book the BWI. My DW had found that many of the resorts did not have standard or similar rooms available. My suggestion is not to wait too long. You may find yourself without too many options.

Dose any one know how many king size beds there are in Pop Century, I'll be at the Pop on Nov 28 to Dec 4. Just want to know what do you think my chances are in getting a room with a king size bed in the 50's building (love the bowling pin pool!). Dose any one have any pictures of the king size bed rooms from your last trip. Or do you guys think i should stick to two queen beds??? I would like to know what you guys think?'

Not sure how many kings there are, but if you go with the two beds it will be two standard (full size) beds not queen.

Just booked AKV Kidani 2br for December 11-18. We are taking my mil, fil, bil, sil and niece as a going away trip for my bil who is being deployed to Japan for a year. This is our first trip home as DVC members!

Happy planning :)
