DECEMBER 2010....Who's comin??

We are going 12/12 - 12/26.. Never been at Christmas time..Always an end of September family. Are the parks really crowded or lines wait long. DD with some special needs issues. Don't know if she could handle it. Any advice greatly appreciated.

The busiest time of year at Disney is Christmas week through New Years.

Hey everyone! I just started my PTR for December 26-January 2! If you get a chance check it out! :) I'm looking forward to seeing all of the decorations but I'm really nervous about the crowds...how does it compare to the 4th of July? I was on my honeymoon at WDW then in 2008 and it was really crowded but we still had a good time!

Me, my DD, and DM will be staying at Pop for a girl's week out from Dec 28th - 3 of Jan. This will be our first New Years party together and since my Mom wasn't really thrilled with Christmas crowds when we went 5 yrs ago, I know this will be very laid back trip with more attention spent on seeing things than riding the rides. But we love all the decorations so a lot of resort hopping to check them out too this time.

Hi Everyone!! i am so excited just booked our 2nd trip for 2010 --
we'll be staying at the Yacht Club Dec 5-11th and we'll be bringing my parents for this trip. They haven't been for almost 25 years. i am really excited for them to experience Disney especially at christmas. Now to figure out all the ADR and where will be on what day :)
Can't wait!!!

Shannon

Got my tickets to MVMCP today. for Dec 2. Any one going on Dec 2. Hope to see ya there. This will be my 2nd time going cant wait for my cookie and hot coco. Hmmmmm.....
We have just decided to go to MVMCP on Dec. 2 too! This will be our first time visiting WDW during the holidays. Cookies and hot coco sounds yummy!

So excited and happy! DH enjoyed our December trip last year so much that he cheerfully agreed to a December trip this year. DD and I are going in October and I thought he might use that as an excuse to nix another trip. Either my Disney enthusiasm is wearing off on him or he has decided to not fight the feeling.:yay:
The only thing better than planning one Disney trip is planning 2 Disney trips. I'm a happy girl.:thumbsup2

Sounds fun...I too am going with my DD and a friend and her DD in October and then I booked for December with Mom and my Niece and DD...I have too see the castle lights........DH won't be making these trips, but glad he is giving me no trouble for booking 2 trips...:goodvibes I love planning my trips and I love Halloween time and Christmas time at Disney... I am so excited!

We will be there Dec 8th-Dec 11th- Poly! My first Poly stay and I can not wait.

Michelle:yay:

We will be at the Poly from Dec 4-12, so we might see you there.

We are headin down to DW on December 2, not sure yet how long we are staying. Does anyone know when they will release the park hours for Dec 2010? I would like to start planning soon. I will be booking next week. Thanks!

Park hours are up on the Disney website...go check it out!!!:cool1:

There is also a thread on the themepark boards linked too the Disney hours for December..They just released them....

Happy planning!:cloud9:

I call for ADR's on June 11th!! yippee!:dance3: I may try on line some too..I had better luck for Ohana on line than calling.

Yea for December park hours! I've checked several times lately and haven't found them . . . today I had a HORRIFIC day at work, came home and ate some stuffed-crust pizza, and found the park hours!!!!!

It doesn't change my itinerary at all since I planned the days by which parks I wanted to see first, but it's so nice to have the hours official!!!!

Could anyone tell me if Trails Ends is any good for breakfast. Im getting mixed reviews from the forums. I hear the price is not bad for the buffet. Really would like to check it out. Also dose any one know whats the best or fastest why using the Disney Buses to get to Fort Wilderness from Pop Century resort?
Thanks guys!!

Oh that is great you are going to love it!! There is nothing else like the Magic Kingdom during the holidays. Me and my wife plan to be in the park all day that day we love it.

Just called and put down my deposit for BC 12/1 - 12/5! Thanks to the PIN code I got earlier this week!!!

It is going to be a mother/daughter trip. I haven't been anywhere with just my Mom in a long time. Soooo excited (even though my husband is kind of sad). I don't know how I am going to make it through the next 185 days!

:cool1::cool1::santa:

It is getting close to that time of planning for the December WDW trip where you could make your ADRs.

One perk of staying at WDW is that we were able to make our ADRs 10 days earlier than 180 days! The new ADR online system on WDW website even made the process easier!

The only ADRs we could not make are for the Candlelight Processional. Disney is holding some restaurants unavailable for reservations until the CP dates are known.

Did someone say they have already seen the December hours posted? I can't find them on the Disney site. Am I looking in the wrong place??

If you click on the November 30th date, you can see the park hours up to Dec 9th.

I am hoping to spend a night at CSR with DH and see Cirque for my birthday. :)
