Since the pin code is good for 4 night/5 day stay and we have already booked our stay for 5 nights/6 days - how will this work? We're booked through AAA and my travel agent is out of the office today, so I won't get an answer from him til tomorrow. I know someone here will give me the answer before I can get to my travel agent!

It's good at any of the resorts. I know because I just went through the resort choices with them on the phone and ended up booking the POR for our early December trip!!!

A Free Dining pin came to our house two days ago...YEA.....it's for our dates....YEA, but when I called today, the quoted price wasn't such a great deal.

We originally booked with a different pin (yes...Disney Destinations likes me) that was buy 5 get 2 free plus a $200 gift card. We are booked at AKL (standard view) for 8 nights, 2 adults, 6 day MYW park hopper pass, dining and trip insurance it was $2975.40.

When I called tonight and was quoted for the same thing (including the free dining), the price was $2881.96. It's only a savings of $93.44, and I would lose out on my $200 gift card.

Can anyone figure out the math? My dates are Dec. 5-13th. I'm kinda not impressed with my free dining (don't flame me!). The CM actually said that my original code was a good deal. Perhaps I should try calling again tomorrow?!

I also got the free dining at POP for November 29th to December 13th and mine was for the reg. free dining with table services and not the quick service like others. I'm happy for that.

We just booked POR and got the regular meal plan (1 snack, 1 counter service, 1 table service per person per day).

Unfortunately, there is no one place to sign up to get emails from them. They are randomly sent out to people. Sign up for everything Disney on the web, try using different email addresses, say you want to receive information from them, and hope for some pixie dust!

All you have to do is go to WaltDisneyWorld.com, and enter under the package section of travel plans...enter your dates, ticket options, but NOT dining...the total you see is what you will pay for free dining...it is simply that...you pay rack rate ( high for Christmas ) and your normal disney prices for tix,( and for FD you have to include at least 1 single day base MYW ticket per person on ressie)but nothing for dining in the package price. Remeber, tip and bkfst are not in FD, but you can be creative about that for sure!

Not quite true - tips are not included, but depending on how you eat, breakfast can be included. You're given your credits all at once and how you use them is up to you. With FD, you get 1 TS, 1 CS and 1 snack per night of your stay. So if you're staying, say, 6 nights, you get 6 TS, 6 CS and 6 snack credits per person upon check-in. Many people use the TS or CS credits for a big breakfast; others use a snack credit for breakfast. There's no particular "meal" that's not included.

Free Dining probably won't be the best deal if you're staying at one of the Deluxe resorts. If you were able to get a pin before for a discuonted room rate, you're probably better off. Not sure what the rate is at AKL but I know for Poly, for example, the cheapest room is $350/nt that time of year. So free dining only saves a family like ours about $700 or so. If you were able to get 2 free nights or something like 35-40% off the room portion - that would be a much better deal, I'd think. NOT to mention that $200 gift card. If you are only saving $94 and loosing your $200 card, I'd say stick with your originial deal!!!

I have a friend that got the December free dinning pin and sent me her email, of course I knew I couldnt use it but I went ahead and called Disney to see if I had any pins. The CM said they no longer have access to that information like they used to. I know before some CMs would say they couldnt see the codes while others could and would tell you. Does anyone know if this "new system" where they can't see it is true or should I try again and hope for someone who will tell me?

Also, for people that have called in the past and have a code they didn't know about, is it because you just missed an email or that they really put it on your name and never notify you?

If they really don't have access to the code, do you think if I just call with my dates and do the request the whole package (w/o mentioning dining) that they will say, ok you have such and such pins available to use???? How does that work?

I did that and if I've done the math correctly : We're booking two rooms + dining at CBR, hubby's 5-day ticket is free, we'll pay $149 each for the other three. Our total cost comes to 2780.32 for the 4 of us in two rooms with dining. To book via Disney with free dining would cost $3369.28 Thank you Uncle Sam

Im so excited but for anyone looking for a code, I tried for monthes but I just had luck when I created one more email address. So this is what I I would recommend creating a new email like at google (which is free) then go to disneydestinations.com on the top where it sais register do so. I had already registerd 3 times same name diff address. then order your free video ( I again orderd like 3 but I had one sent to my house, one to my moms and one to my inlaws ALL IN MY OR MY FIANCES NAME tho!)You can do either you or your spouse (as long as your both going to WDW) then click on WDW in florida (make sure your logged in) and start price qouting reservations. Save the max which is five and I tried to like price only one or two hotels but saved one room only, one with tickets, and one w/tickets and dining. I think this worked because in the email it said "We’re delighted you’ve been making plans online with My Disney Vacation! Since you’re still looking for accommodations, we invite you to explore total Disney magic with a Disney Resort stay at an affordable rate. It’s a wonderful way for you and your little one to experience our wonderland of nonstop Disney enchantment 24 hours a day—plus the benefits of staying at a select Walt Disney World® Resort hotel! " then it offerd a deal and a pin...again even if it says only 4 nights at a value, CALL because I got 7 nights at a delux for a great deal around 2,600 (incl. rm, ph tickets and free dining!) I'm not sure about others but I find this to be valuable info. That's info that I would almost pay for.
