I thought the discount could only be applied to 1 room per AP?

I think it is 1 ap per room because the cm I had put my DH in with my sister (who does not have an AP).

I can't wait for my lunch hour!! We've got our ressie at AKL CL so I'm hoping with all pixie dust that I'll be able to get a discount. We're going with friends who want to book a room at a value and looking at the rates previously posted, that's a great deal for them since they were budgeting $100/night! I'm also holding out hope for the Disney Visa code tomorrow morning and more savings whatever way I can get it! :goodvibes

Good luck everyone!

I don't know if this is the place to post this ? or not, but here goes anyway. I'm thinking about getting an AP, if I do and I want to use it with the code that came out today do I have to activate it now? Or do I wait until were there in Dec? Hope that makes some sense! TIA!

You will be sent a voucher and that is all you have to have to check in. All you have to have to get the discount is the intent to purchase, just know if you don't purchase when you get there, you will have to pay the difference. You won't be able to activate the pass until you get there anyway, you have to do that at Guest Relations at one of the parks or at DTD.

Sorry if this has been asked before, but does anyone know what the blackout dates are for the discount? TIA!

I see that the Ap codes have been released, I was wondering if the Disney Visa would be the same dates?TIA

Actually now that I thought about that a bit more I'm just a bit confused. Do I not actually have to purchase the pass before? Do I just have the CM add it to our ressies for now?

By the time they release DV codes and then general codes....will there be anything left??

I am still crossing my fingers for DV codes to come out soon.

Just called and no AP rates for Pop available for my dates 12/6-12/13 CM said to call back tommorrow, that since the rates came out today that maybe the system wasn't fully updated.

Personally I think it is doubtful, the resort is booked they have no reason to offer discounts, infact it would be stupid. So my fingers are crossed, that maybe Disney will be stupid.

I just got off the phone with nothing.

Our trip in November 7-9 for AS Music at $111 per night she said is now showing as $189 per night?! What? For a value? I think she was a bit touched in the head.

For our December 5-10 trip she said we already had the passholder rate for our 5 nights at POR - somewhere around the rack rate of $165 per night based on the total package cost.

I think I will call back a little later and try a different CM!

Called back and got a different CM. Don't know what the first one was looking at who thought we had $111 for our whole November trip (2 nights) - $111 was the rate per night - $224 total... new rate is $189.84 for the two nights with the AP rate, so we do save $33.90 - enough for quite a few snacks at the F&W Festival. :)

As for December, the only Mod available during our Dec 5-10 stay is CBR - somewhere around $105 per night instead of the $165 we have at POR - but we have stayed at CBR the past two trips so will stick with POR and hope more rooms become available for the discount in the next few days - otherwise we eat the $300 and enjoy a new resort that we think we'll like better...

Still no mention of the Mods in the AP site - just Values and Deluxe Villas - but CBR shows up at the discounted rate if you search bookings. Weird.

Just called again with the PWE code and it did not save me any money over my AAA rate, she said with the PWE code the weekend nights were priced differently than the weekday nights. So I am better off than the AAA.

UGH.....I guess I have to be happy with my $65 a night, it would have been really nice to get $54 a night.

We just got our new rates with the AP discount!!:cool1:
Our original package was an AP one without tickets for 6 night/POR and DDP/ dates of 12/14-12/20:
$1660.34

With the discount it came out to $1265.52. We saved $400.00 with the AP discount!!!:cheer2:

I'm still waiting for the Disney Visa rates, from what I understand they may have a better discount.

Good luck to all!!:wizard:

No luck here for WL Nov.30 -Dec.8.
They only had YC and my ressie at WL is already less than the AP rate for YC.
I remember just a few years ago (maybe 5?) it was no problem getting a good
AP rte for this time of year. Oh well.

You don't need to purchase an AP prior to requesting the rate. You go ahead and book your ressie. When you check in, make sure you have at least a voucher; otherwise they can revert your room to full rate and you'll have to pay the difference. (BTW, they have never asked me to present the AP when I've checked in, but I've never tried to check in without it anyway.)

If I buy an ap online and do will call can I still get on the ap website? Are any #'s displayed on the screen that you can use to log onto the site? I have read that when you get he voucher you can use those numbers to log on but I want to do the will call option.

Thanks for your infinite disney wisdom!!!
