I took the plunge last night!! I had received a pin code, and had hoped that it would work for our dates, but no such luck. We'll be in a cabin at Fort Wilderness (which we love) from Dec7-14. Still hoping for a discount, but if not....we're booked and going to WDW!!!!!!!!!!!!

Subscribing. Also interested in how busy Pop Warner week is going to be, just in general. We are considering 12/6-12/13 at a moderate or WL. Thanks in advance!

From all that I've heard, Pop Warner does not have much of an impact on crowds at the parks. You may just see more teens in the park at night. HS may close early one night for them, so you'll want to plan around that.

As for the resorts, they usually stay in the All Stars with spillover going to POR.

Does anyone know what the AP rates were for values or modes the wk after thanksgiving. I found on mousesavers that they offered a discount for GP and AP holders but it doesn't list the price.
Anyone have any idea?

vacationing between September 29 - December 23, 2007.
Discounts for value season include select Value Resorts for $59+, Moderate Resorts from $105+ and Deluxe Resorts from $+145 per night.
The rates increase with the change in vacation seasons. Ask for code FEX. The number of rooms offered at these rates is limited.

We will be there Dec14th-20th. We usually go the 2nd week of December, but we decided to go a little later this year die to the fact that DH and I are both in school. And school this year is finishing a little later.
Has anyone been during this time?? Is it SUPER crowded, or just an teensy bit more than the 2nd week? Thank God we're not going to be there the week after, which is Christmas week, I've heard that it's crazy!!

We are going 13-19th! Last year we went on our honeymoon from the 10th to the 17th, which wasn't bad AT ALL. I did seem to be a bit busier the weekend of the 14-16, but I think it was just the weekend, not the dates. I've read the closer to Christmas the busier, but I really think that next week won't be but maybe a tiny bit busier. We are going back for our anniversary, just a few days late b/c of a wedding I'm in. I cannot wait, December is my FAVORITE time to go!!!

I wanted to add...I called last week about free dining (which we decided not to do), and just asked if I had a PIN attached to my name. I have never gotten a postcard, or anything before, but had read people getting them just by asking on the phone. And I DID!!! Now I'm not sure what it was..she said it would depend on the dates, but there was a room discount for the week in August we were thinking about, and when I asked about December the CM said there was one, but it was from the 1st-12th, which didnt help me as we're not getting there until the 13th.

So it can happen, just call and ask. I did send off for a new vacation planning DVD a few weeks ago, and some DVC information, so I don't know if that had anything to do with it or not.

We went during that time last year (Dec 19-23, 2007) and it was less crowded than the weeks before, except the day we left, the crowds were starting to come in. My understanding is hta tmost schools wont' be getting out until a few days into the next week, so that may keep people away for a few more days. We had gone the first week of Dec 2006 and were not happy with the Pop Warner crowd, and this year Mousefest is going on at the same time as Pop Warner and that didnt seem like a great mix. Besides there are sales going on at many of the shops that close to Christmas.

December codes came out last August. Disney Visa holders got a 3 day jump and AP holders, I believe, a 1 day jump on the general public.

Let me look back at my notes.....I never wrote a %, just various dates and prices

I didn't price any value resorts (but I am guessing $20 off per night)

Moderates were $51 off

Deluxes were all over the place:
AKL Pool View was $54 off
looks like the BC was $103 off per night
It was only $10 more to upgrade from standard to Courtyard at WL for 9 nights

If you have AAA you will probably get a better rate for December with it. I did when we stayed at CR. I actually have when staying at any resort in December. I don't just mean a few dollars, it was about $30/night cheaper with AAA over AP.

CR is a really tough discount to get!!

Here is what I wrote down about the CR last December (pricing included basic dining, 8 day park hoppers for 2 adults, 1 child for 12/8 to 12/15)

Garden Wing, Garden View $3413 (have no idea what rack was though)
You could probably back into it though...
