I think it is totally funny that we are both doing the same back to back cruises! How often does that happen??
We can't wait!
I don't believe that we have to get off the ship, but I am not sure how the rest of it works. Have you done this before? :hourglass

Hi Feenie,
We have never done back to backs before either. I have read threads of a couple of people who have and they both got to stay on the ship, but had to leave their room for it to be thoroughly cleaned. Then they just hung out on deck, went to guest services to get their new KTTW cards around noon, by then the new guests were about to board, then they watch some excited people getting on board and that got them more excited again. Another couple got off the ship so they could chat with people in line and experience the excitement of boarding again.
I'm sure we will just stay on board and enjoy the empty ship, just have breakfast and relax before heading out again to sea. We just have to stay out of the way of the cleaning crews.
I know it's a long way away, and we have 2 more cruises before then, but I'm really excited to do the back to backs. I've been saving all my change for extra spending money, although I never buy many souvenirs. Just some trinkets and magnets. My husband buys billed caps. He wears them at work so at least they don't sit on a shelf and gather dust.
Guess we should know each others first names since we will be in touch for a long time and will meet sometime on board too. my name is Kathleen, but everyone calls me Kathy. My husbands name is Greg. Our ages are somewhere between the dinosaurs becoming extinct and the first man on the moon!! Our kids vote for the dinosaur age! Just say physically we are middle aged, but mentally I'm still a Disney kid and always will be. My house looks like a disney gift shop. Well got to go, hope you have a great week.
P.S. I can't believe we are both doing back to backs at the same time either. That was a surprize for us too.

Michele,
Welcome aboard. I'm glad to see a few more people joining us lately.
I noticed your info said Lakeland Florida. We are in Poinciana on the south end in Polk county. Not really that far from you. Our son went to college in Lakeland. We have been on disney cruises before too. We are doing a 3 day on on May 12th. Looking forward to chatting on the thread with you and the others until we set sail. Then we can all meet on board.

I thought maybe it would helpful if we had a running list of everyone on "our" ship. So I'll start it. Please feel free to point out any corrections.

By the way, Mom4XGrandmaX4, have you every been to Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party at WDW? What's your opinion on it? A must do or just okay?

The Christmas party is great! We have been once. You need to get tickets as early as possible, as they do sell out quickly. Be prepared to stay for the entire evening, The special attractions you do at the party are spaced out throughout the entire evening, so if you want to experience it all, you need all night. The parade is really good too. The hot cocoa, cookies and snow really set the mood. Word of warning, the cocoa is HOT!! We saw several kids getting burned mouths because they tried to drink it right away. I don't want to spoil any surprizes, so I won't go into details, but for us it was worth the time and extra money to do. If you have the time, be sure and check out the display at MGM. No extra charge for it, just regular park admission. Also at the grand floridian and yacht and beach club they have a fantastic gingerbread house and carousel to see. Of course that is free, just go to the hotel, they are really decorated nicely. Hope you get the chance to go, I'm sure you'll all have a great time.
Your list for our cruise looks great to me. I'll try and get you our room number to list too in case someone wants to say Hi. It would be nice to know each others rooms so we can communicate with each other, if we choose too. I know most people will be busy enjoying the cruise, but it might be a handy thing to add to the list. What do you think?

We are very excited too!!! Each cruise gets better and better. We have 2 other disney cruises between now and our cruise with you. so that should help the time to pass a little faster. At least I hope it will! Knowing me It will probably only get me more excited towards this cruise.
I'll let you all know how our 3 day cruise goes on the 12th-15th when we get back.

Mom x4,
Good to see another Polk res. here. I just found out our stateroom # is 7094..I hope this is not a noisy room.
We were suppose to go on a 4 day cruise Jan of this year but had to cancel due to job change. I can't wait for Dec 06..DH said he is booking another one while on board. That is good news for me. In the meantime We will be waiting somewhat patiently. ;)

Howdy Michele,
7094 is not a noisy room, I'm sure. There is a site on the home page that tells about noisy rooms, most are on deck 1 and 2. We have been close to that room before with no problem. I know somewhere my DH has our room number on a paper. Guess I should ask him what it is so I can post it too.
It sure is lousy weather the last 2 days. have you gone to Epcot tp see the garden and flower festival? We have been going to the concerts there for 3 weeks now. They're pretty good.

Has anyone done the western cruise already? What excursions did you do? What ones would you recommend? We like active excursions. :moped:

momX4,
We have not been to Epcot lately. DH drives truck and is gone alot and I work Thur-Mon. With kids in school we don't get much time to go to Disney. Seems like our passes do not get much use right now. Will be glad when they are out. Only 10 more days and they will be out for summer. WOO HOO. DH took DD and DS to Disney Quest today. I unfortunately had to work.. :sad2:
What concerts have been there?

All the concerts are "oldie rock n roll". Maybe before your time. But perfect for my age group.
So far they have had Davy Jones, of the Monkees, Gary U.S. Bonds, Paul Revere and the Raiders,The Buckinghams, The Grass Roots, The Turtles, and this week is the Gregg Rolie Band. Then they will be having The Lovinspoonful, The Nelsons (Ricky nelsons sons), Gary Puckett. Orleans, Rare Earth, B.J. Thomas, Eric Burden,The Rascals, and Arlo Guthrie. The line up does change some each year. Some are better than others, and a couple I've never heard of, but fun to do anyway. WE went yesterday and the new Soaring adventure was really packed, we will wait a few weeks to do it. They do have a fast pass for it too.
Well time to put my feet up as it is mothers day.
Happy Mothers Day tp all the mom's on this thread!

Our 3 day cruise on the Wonder is only two days away. I'm all ready to go.
Hopefully this will help to pass the time until 06 cruises. I'll let you know next week how it goes. Just the two of us this time.
