December 2,2006...Anyone want to join us?

Glad to hear we have some teens onboard...DD 14, is still nervous about the teen club, she is a little shy and wishes her best friend could come but that would make 5 and would need two cabin or a suite  ahhh, well....

PrincessDaisy - maybe your daughter can connect with my dd via email or IM to ask questions and get to know someone - my dd ADORED the cruise when she was 10/11 and can not wait to get back to the ship - this time to the STACK! yahoo- per her

pm me if you wish for any information :thumbsup2

Alwayslisad: That would be great! I will pm you soon and the girls can e-mail each other. My dd did that on our last cruise and really enjoyed having someone she "knew" on the ship. She loved the Oceaner Lab and toured the stack at that time...but she noticied it seemed more like a teen hang out and she really enjoyed the computers and games in the lab and the stack looked a bit intimidating to her at the time.

:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

 :Pinkbounc  :Pinkbounc

We finally got our cruise completely paid off!! We are so excited!! Every day my DH asks me how many more days. We are so ready to cruise again!

Our DD who will be 17 in May will be with us, She did not go to the teen hang out to much on our last cruise. She usually likes to hang with her dad and myself. Now DS who is 8...He is another story, we couldn't keep him out of the kids club...

I love to see those tickers count down! I just got our cruise dvd in the mail today. Spring break is coming up and we're not going anywhere. The kids suggested we "play cruise" one day and do cruise stuff. Maybe we'll go to the indoor pool, I'll make Palo souffle for dessert, we'll look at the menus and pick out something fun to make, maybe play Disney Scene it a la "who wants to be a Mouseketeer?" and Bingo, of course! Boy, that sounds fun!

That sounds like a great idea! I am more pumped about the cruise. DH is thrilled, but he wants to work and work and work to make tons of spending money! HEHE - we bring our boat out of winter storage soon and I think that is when it will totally kick in for him. He adores being on the water and once we are aFLOAT - he will get more and more pumped. DD is already doing the cruise dance, since she found her formal and semiformal gown/dress. Darn to be that tiny and be able to just go in and pick a gown up! sheesh! well Hopefully my WW will continue to be great and I can do that the month before my cruise! :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

We're on Spring Break this week and are going today to do some cruise clothes shopping. My DDs bought their formal night dresses this weekend and are so excited. We're also going to the Disney Store to pick up our copies of Chicken Little and Narnia. The Palo's chocolate souffle sounds wonderful but I'll have to wait a few weeks to make it since my oldest DD gave up chocolate for Lent! Less than eight monthes to go!!! :cool1:

Well, the week didn't turn out as "cruisy" as I wanted to. Having DH and I work every day didn't help much, but we did play a few rounds of Disney Scene it (Highly recommend that game!), watched Lion, Witch and the Wardrobe many many times (why oh why didn't I get the two disc version??? :sad2: )

But the chocolate souffle is in the plans for tomorrow, as well as a surprise trip to Miniature golf.

Happy Easter everyone! I just love to see that ticker count DOWN!!!

Hope everyone had a great weekend. We've been having fun trying to come up with magnetic door sign ideas and anxiously awaiting the arrival of the new Passporter Cruise guide. I got my horseback riding excursion on Grand Cayman booked so I was happy about that. I just wish December would come a little sooner! :) :)

My parents surpised my DH, DD (12 now - 13 at time of cruise) and DS 5 with a cruise to Disney on December 2!! :cool1: I have spent the last couple of days trying to read through all these posts ... I have really learned a lot!

Our daughter is hoping to talk to another girl who is planning to go to find out what she plans to do, what to bring for clothes, etc. etc. How fancy are the dresses the girls are getting? :confused3

Welcome! My youngest DD will also be 13 at the time of the cruise. I'll also be traveling with DD 16, DNiece 14, and some friends who have a 15 yo DD. What a lot of girls! This is our 6th DCL cruise and we are really looking forward to it. Feel free to PM me and we could exchange emails so our girls can talk. :) :)

My brother, the only one in our immediate family not going so far, came over for a quick visit yesterday. I already sent him and his wife a cruise DVD, and this time I even went to the website and showed them how much they could pay. I'm trying to convince them to just book it, as they can always cancel later, but they get better prices now. Cat 12 for two adults is going for $3800, but the cat 11 is $2300. Supply and demand at its best! Just for fun I entered our family' information, and the cost is $1800 more than we paid back in January. Yikes!

hello all ~

getting closer - getting excited - so far there maybe a change in plans - brother and wife are having issues and not sure if they will be going - hmmm -
Sister and brother in law are soo wanting to go - but they are looking for new jobs - due to situations - so we can only hope they can still go - Dear sister in law ( on hubby side) is still a go and is very excited!!!..... my cruise is 75 % paid off - can not wait to get PAID in full on the little slip of paper!!

then I just need to put the FUN Money aside - yahoooooo

I'm posting to see my ticker update. Plus, it's a shame that the Dec. 1st 2007 cruise, a year away from ours, is pages ahead of us!! I'm trying not to think too much about the cruise now. It's paid off, we're slowly filling our penny jar, kids are getting out of school and setting up for summer camps, so that's keeping me busy. DD is going to a regional cancer camp, which unfortunately is scheduled for the second to last week of school, but she's going anyway! DS going to sleep away boy scout camp, and the others will work on local day camps. Two trips north to visit family, and before you know it, it will be back to school and we'll be doing the under 100-day countdown!!

We're busy here too. I think summer is going to fly by and that ticker will drop quickly. We're gearing up for our summer travels right now. I'm trying to balance buying the kids swimsuits that will still fit in December but not fall off their bums now. :) I finally got ds the Pirates of the Carribean swimsuit from the Disney Store (after multiple tries, it kept selling out and ds really wanted it).

I'm thinking I should start planning our WDW portion of the trip. Has anyone done that yet?

Well the kids only have 7 days of school left for this year. I personally cannot wait for summer vacation to start. We are not going to Disney before our cruise as we live so close. In July we are going to Disney for a week at FW. The kids and I cannot wait. DH works out of state 9 months of the year and is flying in for a week of R&R. Part of me hopes the summer flys by so the days on ticker will click off, but on the other hand I enjoy the time with my kids. We are always so busy with cub scouts the days seem to fly by quickly anyway. DD will be a senior come August which means she'll be off to college before long... :sad2: We are planning on doing alot more on this cruise as a family then we did on the last one, which we pretty much just hung out on the ship and did no excursions. DD (17) really wants to do the dolphin encounter. Looks like it could be alot of fun. I haven't decided on any other excursions thus far, but know we plan on trying to do something at every port except key West. Anybody know of some of the better ones DS is 8 and does not do the heat real well, so I guess we need something that does not have alot of walking involved. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Almost another month closer to DCL cruise! This is such a busy time of year. My DD's only have a few more days of school left and in about two weeks , my oldest DD is heading to Greece for a choir tour---lucky girl! I finally booked my airline tickets for the cruise and got a pretty decent price. I was afraid to wait too much longer for fear that the prices would increase more. At least that's one more thing paid for. Hope you all have a great summer! :sunny: :sunny: :sunny:

:sunny: feels like summer here in San Diego! :thumbsup2 only one more week of school for dd and the summer fun begins! How is the cruise planning going with everyone? I am just looking into excursions for my family. Looks like we will just hang out in Key West (we have done the train there and that was fun) do a little shopping. I am looking into the Stingray excursion with Captain Marvin or Byron or Nativeway, for Grand Caymen. Most likely going to Paradise beach in Cozumel or doing the all inclusive at San francisco beach....unlimted drinks sounds SOOO tempting :drinking1

We are heading to the beach today, if I can tear the kids away from the Star Wars Lego playstation :yoda: :chewy: :ewok: :darth:

Have a wonderful weekend! :grouphug:

Stephanie

My kids love that Legos star wars game!! I think it's hillarious to watch--they put so much thought into the facial expressions of lego characters!

Less than 6 months to go!! We sent DD off to summer camp at a camp for sick kids. This week was the only Cancer week, so lucky DD gets to miss a week of school! She was thrilled of course. The place is set up like NASCAR, as Kyle Petty and his family built it, and the only place more colorful is Disney World. It reminded the whole family of Pop Century, with larger than life sized everything, even a building shaped like a race car! Now the boys are begging me to send them to Siblings week.

Once we got home I chatted with my neighbors who are going on the Magic's Eastern cruise the week before we leave, and she noticed what I was wearing--an Island MIckey outfit, Mickey Mouse sneakers and a Disneyland Paris sun visor! The mouse has completely permeated my life, and I love it, of course! You will all probably see me in the same outfit in 6 months.

Can't wait to send this and see my ticker count down yet another month!!!!
