December 2,2006...Anyone want to join us?

Kathy,
Sorry to hear that we won't be doing the back to back's together after all.

I will say that cruising 2 months sooner sounds pretty good too though!! pirate:
:hourglass

To everyone,
I will try to post a quick trip report with you when we return.

Feenie, i will still see you on 11/25/06. You'll have to tell me how the back to backs go for you. We still hope to do it someday.

Have a magical cruise everyone. I will be thinking of you on my 11/25 cruise because as I am sadly leaving the port you will all be arriving for your cruise. Maybe I could stow away in one of your suitcases and still do a back to back cruise??? Let me know if you have an extra trunk. Ha! Ha!

Kathy

You will be on the same cruise that my DD Renee's friend will be on- her grandparents surprised the entire family with a Tday Cruise - Johannah and 12 of her family members are cruising with you! Renee wants to stowaway as well - and then Johannah wants to stay in her room and sneak over to ours - ehheheh :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Kathy, is that the Eastern? I just found out today that my next door neighbors are going on the Eastern Cruise that docks on Dec. 2nd!! We might be there early enough to see them disembark! We've only known two other families who have cruised DCL, and here our next door neighbor is going! We borrowed their cruise DVD to get in the mood a bit this afternoon, and I finally found my Passporters guide! My two year old looked so excited to see the Oceaneer club. His eyes just lit up! He'll be there next year with his then-6 year old brother, and the other three in the Lab. We are cruising with my parents and sister, so I won't need to put the baby (then 13 months) in the Flounder's Reef. I've already set up most of our Palo schedule in my head, to make sure babysitting is covered!

Palo question, for those who have been, we have three total staterooms, and 11 people total in them. Can I make two Palo dinner reservations? Can I make reservation one for me and DH, and two for me, DH, and my parents, and use my second cabin #for the reservation? How many Palo reservations are alotted to each stateroom? I'm sure the first person who gets through online can't make 7 dinner reservations and all the Brunch and high tea, but in my reservation, can I say it's for 4 people?

Elizabeth (always the planner)

I am pretty sure that each stateroom can make a Palo reservation. I don't think it matters if there are more on a reservation than are in your cabin, so you should be ok.
On our last cruise we booked all of our Palo reservations for 4 people even though in our cabin there were only two of us.
They didn't ask us for any info on the other party that was joining us. pirate:

We have two adjoining cabins that are full, so I figured it wouldn't be a problem to reserve for 4, because we have 4 in each cabin.

I just found out my sister booked her family on the same cruise!! They've never gone on a big vacation and it's their 10th anniversary this August. So we have my parents and sister, my family, and my sister's family. I just emailed my brother to see if he can come along as well. My mom would probably die from sheer joy if she could see all of the kids and grand kids together having fun at one time. It's her dream!

bump. I couldn't find this thread on the first two pages, and I don't want us to get lost!

Goodness - we are getting pushed back to page 2 - eeek - my countdown clock shows 9 months 14 days and 5 hours till D Day - wahooo

now if my weight could go down along with the countdown!

Hello Everyone !

I totally agree on the weight thing ! I thought the cruise would be my inspiration but so far so not so good. :rotfl2:

Happy Belated Valentines day all

I celebrated my 43 Bday as well - DH got me some wonderful candles - DD got me a very nice card and made me one as well - My staff surprised me with roses and carnations and a HUGE Chocolate Cake - so we had cake for breakfast and lunch. :confused3 :confused3 :confused3 :confused3 now why did I eat it both times - I had a tooth out 10 days ago and it is still causing trouble - so I am back on soft foods again - went to the Dentist yesterday and he poked around and SLAM back to pain and discomfort -

well Zane_Anthony you and I need to talk so we can become Better Buddies and be supporters for our diet plans :) :) :)

9 months 13 days - wahooooo

alwayslisad, sounds like soft cake is just what you need for that tooth! Happy birthday!

I'll join you on the weight loss thing. I'm currently trying to lose weight from my baby in October. I plan to lose 5 less than I want, so I won't do as much damage on the ship. If I don't get to my goal, I'm still eating, though!

All week I'm thinking "my friend is eating now, what restaurant? I bet she's at the pool now" I'll grill her and then give you all a detailed report!

Awww thanks for the wellwishes - can everyone else post their special days ????
pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust:

also - are we all going to do a DIS meeting on the ship???? is there a party we attend - or do we plan a party - how are we all going to meet up?

I know that Zane_Anthony and I are planning on DEFINATELY meeting up - ::Waves at new friend:::

I can not wait to meet you all - get hugs ( I am a hugger so if that bothers you - pm me and I WON'T come near ya - eheheh)
:grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:

My friend arrives home from her Magic trip today or tomorrow, but I have to go to DC for a few days. I'll post her report later in the week. Can't wait to hear how it went! And I'd love to meet you all too!

Hey Everyone,

Well we're getting closer to cruise time... slowly but surely. Sorry I haven't checked in, in awhile. I have been reading though. Sorry to hear Kathy won't be joining us. We've had some big changes here. I added a new ticker for a trip in July. I'm going to Kenya. I still can't believe that I'm going to Africa. I'm going to work at an orphanage for two weeks. Another change, my 5yo dd just got eyeglasses yesterday. We recently found out that she has amblyopia (basically is legally blind in one eye), and has horrible vision in her "good" eye. I'm still amazed that she learned to read and that none of us ever caught it. But since the diagnosis its been a whirlwind of new information. Its been tough on her. She has to start vision therapy and patch her good eye for a portion of the day, which is quite exhausting for her since she really can't see out of the bad eye. But if you guys see an adorable little girl in purple glasses (did you know Disney makes eyeglasses... dd got Little Mermaid ones), maybe with a colorful patch over her left eye, come on over and say hi. Still trying to figure out how we'll work in patch time on the ship but it will likely need to be done. My 3yo ds is bummed that he doesn't get to wear a patch as much as his big sis. Can you tell he loves pirate: pirate: He was Jack Sparrow for Halloween, complete with the dreads. Anyone else planning on waiting to see Pirates of the Caribbean 2 until they can watch it on the Dumbotron. I LOVED the first one, and think it will be so fun to watch the second while in the Caribbean (yes I'm cheesy like that).

OH my congrats on KENYA - take lots of pictures so you can show us - PLEASE - I Had a friend ages ago that was from africa and she would bring pictures in to show us - LOVED It!

I know there is NOOOOO way I can wait to see Pirates till december - I am already chomping on the bit - till July - my sister bought me the tape so I can watch it over and over - yahoo - Love it love it!

pixiedust: to DD - she sounds like a true trooper princess :)

Wow, Kenya, that is amazing! Is your family going with you? that would be the ultimate adventure! :thumbsup2 That is so neat that Disney makes glasses...I agree that you daughter is quite a princess pixiedust: trooper!

Can't wait to meet everyone. Have a great weekend...we are heading to Sea World today with our passes.

Good morning all~

Nine months 7 days till our grand meeting :)

It is very cold here in NH today - and I am dreaming of warmth and drinks of the day :) :thumbsup2
