Ok..........so DW and I were seating on the couch this morning having our coffee and watching one of the old Roseanna reruns on some odd cable channel. Roseanna starts talking about how a good man just never "happens", he has to be shaped and molded by his wife. She first has to peel off the damage his mother did - then peel off that motcho man stuff he gets from hanging around his good - for - nothing buddies. Then the wife has something in front of her she can work with and shape into something useful. Well........I'm sitting there laughing my fool head off and I look over to DW and her eyes are glazed over. I can just see the ol' wheels inside there turning and it ain't looking good for me. She is thinking how she could start shaping and molding me into something!!! So I hurry up and change the channel..................but you know...............I think the damage had already been done. That glazed look didn't leave her for a couple of minutes after word.

Uuuhhmmmmmmmmmmmm Mr. President, Kevin Sir, do you have any experience with this? Do you have any ideas what I can do to save myself from something horrible happening to me!!! I got to tell you..........I am afraid..........very afraid!!! I can see this thing getting outa hand..............and spreading across America!!!!

Does anyone remember what old movie (or was it an episode in a TV show) where the wife was given a "How to Train Your Dog" book (I think by her mother) when she got married? It seemed to have worked on the bride's father!

Think I'll mosey off to do some internet research and see if I can find it (probably a siimple title like "How to train your Husband".

You..........you mean................I have been changed..................and didn't know it!!! You know there was that time back in the 19mgh's after Donna and I were first married..................there was that day when I had a time lapse............I lost about 5 minutes of a day..................never knew what happened................just 5 minutes gone.....................I blacked out there for a while..................next thing I knew Donna was standing in front of me..........I mean just inches away from my nose in front of me..........with this big goofy grin on her face!!! THAT must have been when it happened!!!! And, to this day, I still think I make all of the major decisions in the family. I..................I...............what were we talking about!!!!

There is that remote thing popping up again Kevin!!! How can we men of the world unite to regain sole posession of the remote. DW got up before me this morning and she had the TV turned on and she had the remote hidden beside her on the couch. I looked, and looked, and looked...............then she held it up and said, "Are you looking for this?" never even looking at me! Before I could answer she put it back down beside her and totally ignored me, went back to watching "HER" shows!!! What's a man suppose to do?????

As President of the "Offical Worldwide Man Club" I will add my voice along with my VP David in pleading.......no.......asking, yes asking you to let your DH join our humble group of men.

Psss, Hey David come real close and make sure no one is looking............oops, not quite so close..... ok thats better. No one else around, good. I think I have this remote thing worked out. 1st we get us a man cave, er workshop yea thats it a workshop. (to make great things for our DW's) May be even call it a Laundry Room. Put in our own big screen TV with our own remote. It just might work, do you think our DW's would buy that we need a "laundry room" Say 20' x 30'. What do you think???

David, no worries! You guys will be there with us soon enough! I have to say, the meet group for the 4-night is really quiet. It is so interesting to me to see the differences in the mett groups! I think since we are together longer on the 7s, it is a bit more personal and I really enjoy them!

Andrea, so glad you guys are joining us! Wish we were joining you on your ventures, but there is the mortgage, Dale's job...although if we were to be able to swing the TA, he would be taking more than a couple of weeks off!

It is finally warming up a bit here. I am headed to Hot Springs, AR next weekend with some girlfriends. I can't wait!

Welcome Andrea and family. Another smart family making their airfare go as far as possible!!
We're doing a B2B as well for the same reason. Add in family visits and a few days in the park and it will be at least three weeks total.
Thankfully it is free to stay at "Chez Mama" and hubby's work gives them from Christmas to New Years by shutting down the plant as part of their vacation.

Yes you are right Skye we do need to get back to talking about the cruise.

DW and I dress up for formal night as well. She has a nice long dress she wears as well for the 7 night cruises. On the shorter cruises we have taken we did dress up on the optional "dress up night" but not as much as on the 7 night cruises. On our very first cruise I rented a tux, but haven't done so since then. I do wear my suit and tie. Is Kevin renting a tux or wearing his suit?

This is so true. Life here is very casual. Only the pastors at church wear suits these days. Times have changed.

Don't forget the shoes instead of the flip flops.
At least it will be warm enough for flip flops.

PS Do you even have a suit that fits in the current style? Might be your4 best argument for renting a tux.

Sometimes a little glam is a good thing.

We'll have to see how things work out for formal night. Dale will probably wear a tux. I found him a Mickey vest and bow tie last year, so he will wear it with the tux. I have a couple of dresses in the closet, but nothing full-length, more like cocktail dresses I wore last time. I might get something else for this next time!

Our girls usually wear a princess costume for formal night, complete with tiaras.

AND, I registered our youngest for MDO next year. While homeschooling has been amazing this year, they will both be going to school next year. I think I hear a sigh of relief coming on!!!

I know what you mean. Here in Florida, we wear shorts, t-shirts, and flip flops almost everywhere too - pretty laid back. It is fun to get all dressed up once in awhile. I may just stick with my suit. Just bought the stupid thing - need to get my moneys worth outa it!!! Also, bought a special Christmas tie to wear on the cruise. I won't tell you about it................got to have some secrets................I hope knowone else will be wearing the same tie.............that would be embarassing.
Oh by the way, one of the churches down here, not too far from our house, has a sign out front that says, "come dressed as you are." Now I am usually in my jammies for quite a while in the mornings before getting dressed. But, I'm probably sure they don't mean come in with your jammies on!!!

Ok thanks Mr President for the secret password..................got to go find that decoder ring now!!!! KEVIN I can't find my Official Worldwide Man Club special decoder ring. Found my Captain America decoder ring.................but it don't work on our special Man Club code. Oh man.............my goose is cooked!!! What am I going to do now!!!! (I hope DW didn't hide that ring on me again.................or worse yet.........throw it out in the trash can.................she is always doing those kind of things to me!!!)
