One of the things my husband and I do is to forgo the birthday and anniversary gifts so that we can save in order to take a cruise. So we will have a special something that we will celebrate while we are on board. We will have our 29th anniversary a few weeks before the cruise. We will probably do a Remy and celebrate then but we won't be exchanging gifts on our actual anniversary.

BTW, Taswira, can you please add Anniversary to our celebrations, lol.

I don't know. Mine is Christmas Day, so it always got lost in the shuffle. Never had a birthday party when I was kid. Though my ex-mother-in-law surprised me one day in the middle of June with a party. She said everyone had to have a 21st birthday party, and thought doing it on my "half" birthday would be fun. It was!

Now, I don't mind so much as I figure that means I am not getting older, right?

Love it - an "unbirthday party"!

My Grandma's birthday was the 25th. She used to keep a small pre-decorated tree up in her back room year round. Said it was a special privilege for those with her birthday to spread it out year round. (I think it was really a storage issue, but no one ever minded)

Well, how is everyone doing this fine, beautiful Monday. The sun is shining here in the ol' Sunshine State, nice fall temps outside, humidity is low, couldn't ask for a nicer day today. I am at work that is a bummer, but still am ok with everything.

Are ya'll ready for Thanksgiving??? Just a little over 2 weeks away - and then Christmas is just around the corner!!! I have to say Christmas is my favorite holiday.

The grandkids are making out their lists in our family. The way it looks from these lists - Santa won't have time to make any other stops after stopping at the parents home and ours. They made out 2 lists - one is Mom & Dad's list - the other is for us'n the Grand Parents!!! Now mind you, our son's in-laws and our daughter's in-laws are not in the picture any longer. DW and I are the only grand parents. Our lists seem to be twice as long!!! Whats'up with that!!!!

I went to The Mall this weekend and found a formal dress for the cruise.

Not only will it look great with my pale skin and the sunburn, it was 40% off!

Great price and I loved the dress.

H Ho everyone! Well NWmom I've been doin' some shopping too. Looking for a Disney Christmas tie to wear on formal night. I have a couple of Disney ties I like to wear, but no Disney Christmas tie. We are heading over to Walt Disney World in December for Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, so I'm going to see if I can find one over there at that time. Hope they have something.

Is everyone having a good week so far? I am. Kinda wishing our cruise was going to be this December instead of next December. But, I know it will get here soon enough!!! But still.....................................

I'm really thankful Shari is letting me share her Cat V on the February cruise, or I'd not be going on that one. I'll be excited to see the Dream, and then to see what the differences are in the sister ships.

But you know what? Next December will be here faster than we realize!

Don't blame you a bit Holly. If DW and I had those cruises booked, we would be excited as well. We took a back2back on the Dream in September, and we too are anxious to see the differences between the Fantasy and the Dream.

Yes as you said December 2012 will be here all too fast. (Don't tell DW but I've been thinking...........there is trouble right there...........me thinking.....but, I was thinking of trying to sneak a 4 day cruise in on the Dream again before we go in December 2012. Not sure we can swing it or not, have to do my research!!!

Wow! I had several pages to read to catch up! Chatty group while we were gone.

Loved the Dream, but 4 nights just aren't enough!!!! We'll see how the b2b goes.

We were able to book a couple of dummys so that we have them out there in case something fun comes up for the future.

We finally made our first family trip to WDW post-cruise. Next time I would do everything I could to do parks then cruise, but this time it didn't work out that way. We did have beautiful weather. It was a little cool Saturday night and WAYYYYY crowded, so we left early and went back for a couple of hours Sunday morning after breakfast at Chef Mickey's. That was FAB! Those Mickey waffles are way better than the ones on the ships.

Don't mean to sound psychic or anything, but I Know!!!

I lived in Miami, Florida for 18 years. Even when I have a "tan" it is still really pale. It's pretty much inevitable. I even got a mild sunburn in Alaska, lol.

I am going to have fun, will apply sunscreen religiously, wear a big floppy hat (scalp burn is the worst), try to do my swimming after dark, etc.

. . but will all my prevention methods I will still end up burned. If not I will be thrilled!

Aloe Vera is my friend.

Grown kids - Uuuggggggggghhhhh!!! Not sure - but our daughter and grandson may have backed out on this cruise. This will be the 3rd time she has done this to us. You would think we would learn - wouldn't you!!!
