December 15, 2012 A Yo-HO-HO-HO Holiday Fantasy!

:wave::wave::wave: me, me, me, me, me,:wave::wave::wave: I am soooooooo ready to start cruising!!! This working thing every week, just doesn't seem to be working out. It takes up waaaaayyyyyyyyyyy too much of my valuable time!!!! I've got things to do.............people to meet...........places to visit..............naps to take.................relaxing in the sun to do..................you know those kinda important things!!!!:thumbsup2

Ah, David........remember you work only 3 days a week to cruise:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

But I am with you all. I have a lot to do before hand but I am ready also.

I *have* to run. Must do something healthy to counter balance all of the wine I drink. ;)

Don't know if you have read back thru all of the posts or not. But I too "HAVE" to exercise. got to keep the ol' ticker healthy and according to my lovely wifey keep the BIG OL' BELLY done to a decent size!!! I have to use what I call a TORTURE MACHINE!!! It's an elptitcal - that is sheer torture to use. The ol' ticker is staying in fine shape..........................the BIG OL' BELLY:confused3...............well................let's don't talk about that:confused3.................it's a work in progress!!!:sad2: You see I love my :mickeybar.............they are my downfall!!!

But, if I'm not mistaken, you can do your running on deck 4 the Prominade Deck. I've seen plenty of people running there. When we were on the Dream last September DW and I were walking around on Deck 4 and we got passed by a group of people running / exercising. Not sure of the distance, maybe someone on here can help you with that. :thumbsup2

Thanks for reminding me boss.................uhhhhhhhhhhhhhh Mr President.........Sir. Donna keeps reminding me of this as well. But those 3 days feel like a full week!!! Those are the 3 longest days of the week!!! They drag by soooooooooooooooooo slow!!! My only saving grace is getting on here and writing to ya'll while I'm at work!!!!!!!!!! Shhhhhhhhhhhhhh be vewy, vewy, vewy, vewy quite,:tiptoe: so my boss don't find out!!!

Hey everyone. I have an odd sort of question. Will there be any place (other than a treadmill) that I could run long distance? Will they allow me to run around the deck of the ship if I get up really early? I ask because I'm in half marathon training again and the week we are on the ship I'm scheduled for a 12 mile run. 12 miles on the dread-mill will certainly kill me. If it's not possible I might have to push it back a few days and do my long one on WDW property after the cruise. TIA!

I want to get on a treadmill. Will you remind me to go? I'm a walker. A fast walker though.

Really with you:sad: honestly :scared: got 32 days to complete Christmas shopping and wrap everything.:furious: See to 3 weeks of FE and other on board gifts and packing.:confused3 And all of this between getting my hair done, :thumbsup2ladies lunches,:snooty: coffee with the girls :coffee:and meals out with DH and DD.:cheer2: (DS :littleangel:moved from Singapore to Denmark we don't just ignore him lol).

Just give me a couple more weeks, pleeeeeease :hourglass

I'm with you on this. Staging a house for sale (old one- decided to sell rather than rent it out)
Finishing the unpacking- long story as to why it is not done, but it's boring so I'll spare y'all.

2 weeks of cruises followed by time with family and Disney time.
Christmas plus dd's birthday to shop for--and it has to be small to fit in the suitcases.
I just know my suitcase will be overweight somehow.

I'm going to enjoy being a homebody January-June and scrapbooking all the photos.

I know. But if I don't exercise I a) will get injured on my race from lack of training and b) will be come sore stiff and cranky because I have rheumatoid arthritis. I had a total hip replacement 4.5 years ago and the ripe old age of 32!

You could always run in port.

I could, but I'm really a chicken doing road runs in unfamiliar territory. I'll make it happen on the ship or once I get to WDW. I managed to run twice while I was there four days for W&D last year. It was great, I got up and ran all over around the BC & BW and then I ran over to DHS and back. I know there is a trail near BLT for sure.
Sure, I can remind you. I'm a very slow runner, if you're a fast walker maybe we can keep each other company.

Hey Mr President, yes they do have the stationary bikes in the exercise room. Along with treadmills & ellipticals. I believe you can even join a group lead by a trainer if you want. At least they use to offer this. :cool1:

Well good for you FAIREST1OFALL. I didn't know about the hip replacement. You are doing good. My sister-in-law has had both of hers replaced. Both done a year apart. The medical profession sure can do remarkable things nowa days.

I like the elliptical because it makes me work hard for my results. I burn about 400 calories in 30 minutes. I keep up a pretty fast pace. I feel the burn by the end of my workout on that TORTURE MACHINE!!!:scared1:
