December 12 - 19, 2009 Western Magic

Has anyone else had problems with the reservations stuff? I registered both my kids for the kids clubs, plus booked one reservation for an excursion and now they are not showing as done...

I think I figured it out... there are a lot of confirm buttons .

We booked a Palo brunch on the first sea day.

We also booked the Snorkel, Kayak and Dolphin-Watching Adventure in Key West.

We are doing Sting Ray city privately with Stingraysnorkel on Grand Cayman - we went out with them last January and loved them!

No planned excursions on Cozumel - we might graba cab to Chankanaab and hit the beach there.

Castaway Cay is just a beach day :)

Will book the Spa Villa thing when we get on the ship.

Can anyone tell me about about the Alice tea?

My family will be on this trip - me, my husband and 12yo daughter. :)

Nothing interesting by way of introductions .. we live in Southern WV, I home school, my husband is in the golf business and we all need a vacation! This is our first cruise so we can't book excursions for another 2 weeks. It's only our 2nd Disney trip (well, unless the 80's count!) but thanks to the Disney Visa they have both been FREE!! :D While we have been 'planning' on taking this trip for over a year, I just started to actually plan it.

Can anyone compare the dolphin experiences in Cozumel and Grand Cayman? We are also interested in the zip lines in Cozumel (ok, I'M interested in it .. them, not so much!)

Oh, and my daughter has food allergies that aren't listed on their site so I'm really praying there will still be lots of food and desserts she can indulge in! Last year the parks and AKL were amazing in accommodating her allergies. I hope we have the same experience here.

Looking forward to getting to know everyone a little better over the next 3 months!

Try booking it on the cruise ship. They often have availability.

I will definitely do that. We have to go to RBD upon boarding anyway to get our dining time changed. We are stuck in late dining but that'll never fly with a 4 and 2 year old! I'll inquire then. You sure you don't mind me joining you???

Our youngest will be 6 1/2 when we sail. Since she has no siblings in her age group, it will be great to have other kids in her age group. She is very social but may be apprehensive at first.

Well Sara will be 7 by the time we hit the water and Emily will be 5 and they are pretty outgoing so hopefully they can all hang out. Just paid the final payment to secure the trip. Yea, but it does hit the bank account kind of hard!:confused3 what can we do...ENJOY!!

Your daughter will have several other girls in her age group. I have two that will be 12 and one almost 12 when we sail. Scooby's daughter will be 13 (I think that's right). Hopefully they can all enjoy some activities together.

Yes, my daughter is 13 1/2. Gets along great with others, and is very social.

Has anyone done the ziplines in Cozumel? We've done them in Puerto Vallarta and Costa Rica. Any comparison?

For any of you CC members who tried to book the Seven Mile Beach excursion for Grand Caymans, the excursion is out there now when it was showing not available to book previously. Just thought I'd mention it for those who were looking to do that one.

Thanks for the heads up on that! :goodvibes I was able to switch around so now we have Seven Mile Beach. I then booked the Dolphin Discovery in Cozumel for me and my daughter. Anyone heard anything about this one?

Glad to help! Depending on which time you booked we may see you on that excursion! I went for the 10:45am time since 7 was just too early for us!

Nope! Love to meet new people.

Is there a name and logo for this cruise group?

I've tried to catch up and read through some of the earlier threads. I saw where there were some suggestions for a "name" for our cruise, but I didn't see where one had actually been agreed on. Also, does anyone have a great graphic for this cruise for shirts, etc?

My last 2 cruises I've used the cruise group graphic as the core of my shirt designs. Our last cruise we also ended up ordering green wristbands with the cruise name and date on it which my son is still wearing today almost a year later. I was just wondering if this cruise had gotten to that level of organization!

I see several of you on the cruise graphic thread (Bev, Scooby) so I know there are some killer designs being worked on. Just wondering if there was one for the whole group to use!

We also have worn the DIS green wristbands on other cruises. It's just a fun way to be know someone is DIS'er. Where were they ordered from Oriental Trading? Anyone interested? I can check it out.
