I tried to book a separate reservation under my husbands room and it wouldn't let me. Any suggestions?
I also got my Palo ressie's, it will be our first time. Do they only let you have one reservation for each type of meal????
How did you get yours yesterday? Just curious![]()
I think my TA said midnight (eastern time I believe).
I tried logging in to try to book one excursion - the rest we are doing privately I think... and it says: Sorry, access to My Cruise Plans is not available at this time. Please contact your travel agent or try again later. We apologize for the inconvenience.
Now, I am a bit confused, do you have to have paid the cruise in full to have access to booking these things ahead? That's different then any other cruiselines I have been on.
We will book the vista suite thing too when we board I think - we did last time, it was wonderful!
Can I book Palo more than once? People talk about it all the time. KCashner??? I know you'll know!
No. I believe you can only book in advance one of each meal type (dinner, brunch, tea) for each adult in your linked reservations, and I think I read something to that extent last night when booking. That's changed a bit over the years (as their web system has gotten more sophisticated I believe.) It used to be you could make one reservation in your name, and one reservation in the name of a linked guest, and that would get you two, but now you actually have to specify the guests who will dine under each reservation and not just the number of guests.
You can always ask for additional reservations once on board, and many people still do. Just find where the Palo desk is the first day and go there when you board. I believe you can ask them to keep you in mind for other openings during the week, if you can't actually make a second reservation that day.
If you're concierge, they're always good about getting you additional reservations and changing your current ones to times that you prefer.
Wow, hard to believe that we will be making our reservations for the cruise day trips real soon. So excited.
OK, so my daughters Sara (7) and Emily (5) are cool and we would like to meet other youngsters to hang out with them so my wife and I can have some quality time too. Any suggestions?
Also, anyone know how to put photos up? I click on the icon, but they want a www site...
Lastly anyone thinking of going to the 'mini white house' Harry Truman excursion?
Thanks Bev,
I knew you'd be on top of it. I got a letter saying 105 days, what would make me concierge? We just booked through Costco and it's our 3rd DCL Cruise. Any ideas? We booked Cat. 12, so it's not like we booked major cabins.
My son Chris will be 5yrs 11 months when we cruise so he's right between your two girls in age. There's at least 1 kid in their age group. He enjoyed the Oceaneer Club when we cruised last December so I'm assuming he'll have fun there again this time. But it is always nice if they can make an actual friend, since they seem more inclined to hang around longer when a friend is there as well. My newly 3 yrs old DD will be in the club as well this time (3-4 group though) so I'm hoping she does well too.
As far as posting photos, it's easiest if you use a website like photobucket where they host the photos for you. Each photo will have the code text at the bottom that you just copy and paste into your thread here. Just make sure you set your privacy settings or anyone seeing one of your posts here can click through and see your full album.
You can join the two of us. We're at 3p on Mon 14th.
I found a recommendation for a market that'll cook 'em up along with some shrimp while you're buying wine. Hungry and thirsty yet?
