December 10, 2009 3 Night Bahamian Cruise

I have so many ideas, and some that are budget busters that I'd love to do but cannot.

Are you planning on one gift per person (1 for adults, 1 for girls and 1 for the boys) or one per stateroom?

In all honesty, it depends how many we end up with I think for my final decision....

Can't wait for your pics. I am so excited!!!We are PAID for!!!It's really starting to get REAL! My Mom and Dad are paid for too!!!! We'll be on deck 6 too. My son will be 12, but he gets along with everyone. Can't wait for thosw ADRs. See you REAL soon!!:cool1:

yeah I'm 21 and get along with everyone. Maybe I'll get to talk to you and your son and everyone else:thumbsup2

I plan on doing small gifts for each stateroom for both adults and kids to have. I'll be going a cheap way and going to a 1 dollar store and picking up some FE gifts. That both adults and kids could enjoy. You can do anything you want. One gift per person or one gift per stateroom

I have bought things here and there all year, so, it really depends on how many families we have... I will probably do both adults and children. More for the kids, cause they are cheaper to buy for. I don't think it matters though. It will be fun. Should be fun. NO STRESS. That's what I'm telling myself, anyway. :rotfl2: And if any of the kids have a favorite character--let me know. It might help me pick which gifts go where!

i'm not looking forward to making ADR's either!! I was playing around with it last night and the darn thing kept getting error's and turning off! I'm going to be angry if it doesn't work and i'm up at 530 for nothing!

I think we're only going to do a FE per cabin.....we'll have soo much other stuff to bring with us for the VR....i can't bring any more than absolutely necessary. and i still have no idea what to bring! :rotfl:

Oh the dreaded ADR date is fast approaching!! Tomorrow I can make one for our first day (separate ressie) then I have to call on Labor Day for the group of 12!!! Ugh. I was messing around today and think I will be okay on the first one, it's just for the four of us. Fingers crossed for all!!!

I have a plan for FE - I have sort of a family gift in mind and some smaller kid-oriented things. All of which should be small and easy to pack. Of course, we're driving, so we will just cram it all in!

Please do not stress about FE gifts. All gifts are fun and very much appreciated no matter how large or small. It was just fun to go back to the stateroom and have something waiting!:santa:

you are right not stress. I will prob do something cheap like tattoos that wash off for pirate night. haha

One more thing....if anyone who is participating in the FE exchange has food allergies, please let me know so I can include that information. My son is allergic to peanuts. Now that he is older, it doesn't bother him to receive something he can't have, but younger children don't understand. I would hate to give candy to a child that they can't have.

Ugh - stressing about ADRs in the morning. I am going to try online as well as on the phone.

We have a room only ressie for the 5th that is linked to our land/sea for the 6 - 10 so REALLY hoping I get a nice Cm that will let me do ALL our ADRs tomorrow. I really don't feel like stressing 2 days in a row...

Off to bed so I can get up bright and early on a Sunday of a long weekend!

WOW! I have to call since I can't access my land/sea reservation online....tried to do the online system, but since my first ressie is for 12/6 and my one night only is 12/5, won't let me.

Just hanging out till I can re-dial at 7...on land and cell phone!

Ugh - on the phone with ADRs right now - she is trying to book me after the room only night, but not sure it will work. She's very nice but keeps giving me all the "chatter" about the reservation policies, celebrating birthdays, etc...

I just want to try to make my ADRs!!!!

She can't do it but has IMd her "people" to see if there is a way to override the system. My ressies are linked, but in their system, they show them as separate so checking in on 12/6 won't let me book for later than 12/6 (room only ressie from 12/5 - 12/26).

no luck. Apparently there is no one there to even ask if she can override the system!!! So, I got my first ADR for 12/6 at Sci Fi, but can't book the next 3 days. And this is all because of how Disney does land/sea packages...if we added the extra night to the package, we couldn't get the dining plan at all. And booking land totally separate from sea was more expensive. So, room only on 12/5 linked to land/sea 12/6 - 10. She doesn't see them as linked but as 2 separate ressies, so couldn't help me but she was very nice.

Guess I'm not sleeping well again tonight to be up to call again. Although she did give me a land reservation # for the package that I may be able to use online if that system is working (wasn't working this AM). I called right at 7 and didn't wait at all, got right to a CM. She told me she's working tomorrow too, so maybe we'll chat again.

Now I'm too awake to go back to sleep....

My TA told me that i would not be able to do 90+10 online because of land/sea package. She said I could wake up everyday and try online or call in and they might do it for me. What the heck? I guess I'm just gonna have to terms that I probably won't get to eat where I want....:confused3 But really, who cares? I'll make up for it on the ship!!!!I need to eat light at WDW, so, I can PIG OUT on the ship, right? Whatever, I want to throw myself on the floor like a 2 yr old. But that still won't change anything. I guess I'll try tomorrow morning--it's my one day to sleep in. Guess that's not gonna happen. Oh, what we do for a magical Disney Vacation....

the CM today told me that tomorrow I can make ALL my other ADRs. My land/sea confirmation didn't work for her, but she looked it up under the Poly and then she gave mea new number that I'll use tomorrow.

So, never fear, you should be able to get all your ADRs done at the same time as well! Did you add on extra night (12/5) separately, too?

I did go back to bed to watch TV and fell asleep for about an hour, but now I think I'm more tired than before!

The kids were good and were playing wii (DH went to the gym).

I do hope I can get the rest of our ADRs (there are only 3 of them!) since we are going with another family that has never eaten onsite. Here's hoping for good luck again tomrorow morning.

Have a great long weekend, and I'll give you guys my update bright and early tomorrow!

But really, who cares? I'll make up for it on the ship!!!!I need to eat light at WDW, so, I can PIG OUT on the ship, right?

We don't do ADR'S when we go, but you are right you can PIG OUT as much as you want on the ship. When I go I usually try to not eat so much before I board the ship and after I get off I can't eat:lmao:

Oh sure....go ahead and remind me that i'm not allowed to eat at WDW if I plan on fitting into that dress after 6 days at WDW and 1-1/2 days on the ship! :rotfl:

I've not been around much for the last month because I've been traveling for business and then went on a non-Disney vacation. I've missed a lot here I see. We've finalized our cruise travelers and paid off the trip (disneyfreak - I will PM you my current list for FE - not sure what you have from me).

We will be at Old Key West from the 5th-10th so I made my ADRs this morning. We are only doing a few things and will probably wing it or stay at the resort since we have a kitchen for other meals. We are just going to do the Candlelight Processional package at Tutto Italia on Sunday and the Hoop de Do Review on Tuesday. We saw Hoop de Do many years ago. It's cory but fun and my little granddaughter wants to see it. My husband and I are also going to do the full day Behind the Scenes tour on Monday. We've never done it and my husband is not much for rides so this will be something different.

Not sure if we will try anything on the cruise - I saw that someone is doing the exotic rasoul - we loved that the last cruise.

We're all starting to get excited now that our summer vacation is over.

I was able to do my ADRs this a.m. with my one night room only reservation beginning on 12/5 even for the rest of my trip which was a separate package ressie. Not land/sea though.
Did okay, had to take a few second choices, but with a group of 12, I fully expected that. Made a couple on line where I split the group into two or some were going elsewhere. They are going to be so amazed that I pulled any of this off! At least they better be!! They have NO IDEA!!! Free dining is definitely impacting the ADRs. I couldn't even get Tony's on Sunday before the MVMCP (that must be why!). But we got Crystal Palace. Go figure.
Best of luck to the rest of you still waiting!!

Ummm, well...You are going to be doing ALOT of walking at WDW, right? You are going to be burning calories left and right. Maybe, if you are like me--I like to eat--I'm gonna be the Fastpass girl. You'll be fine...Spanx work pretty good too:rotfl2: It's sad that I know that...
