also almost done with my magnets and I was going to start on my fish extender and I might have to go back to fabric store and buy more fabric..its not long enough to fit 4 pockets...ugh!! I think I had bought the fabric before I found out I was pregnant and based it on 3 pockets...anyways...now to find the time this week to go buy the fabric..

I got my Palo Brunch and nursery times..I thought I was going to have to register my stepsister for the teen club? didn't show up..so I guess not..

but I was able to book some nursery time during the nassau day..which I'm hoping my 2yr old is potty trained by then because I want to go in the pool lol..

but there was really nothing else I could think of for nursery times.

and I thought about booking a spa day but I just can't see me spending that kind of money when i do my facials at home for much cheaper...

anyways I'm excited..almost finished with the online check in and have to get the minor authorization for notarized and we should be ready to go!!!

Hey MommaMouse, glad you got things done. I just finished our online forms so I guess we're good to go.Got everything but Palo brunch. They only offered tables of 1 & 2 and we're 3. So I guess I'll have to hustle to the ship and try my luck there, luckily we'll be at the port bright and early.

I thought we were going to have to register our DD for the teens club......but as MommaMouse said.....it didn't show up.....hmmmmmmmmmmm

Now I'm really excited!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can't wait! Did we ever decide if we are going to meet up on the first day on the ship???

@ cheryl ...nothings been mentioned...i'm sure as we get closer and everyone has their plans made up we will discuss a meet up (at least I hope!) I think the first night would be great....I'm thinking it would be nice to meet at that Family Dance Party? by then everyone had eaten and saw their shows etc??

I know that 9/21 was the day that we could start booking shore excursions... I started a new job in the last 5-6 weeks and have been super busy and have not done anything...

Do I have to sign my kids up for anything? What steps do I need to take care of before we go? I should be able to get some things done in the next couple of days...

Hi there, you have to go to the Disney site, log in and go to my cruise plans. Once there you have to put in you log in info again, your cruise reservation number and birthdate. That will take you to the page for excursions, Palo and daycare. Good luck with your planning.

I have done NOTHING online...every time I try to sign in, I get an Apache Tomcat error, and I can not see anything online... I have used both Firefox and Explorer.

i know that disney's reservation feature is under maintenance for like a week..that could be it? Maybe you should call your travel agent and/or Disney.

Alright everyone! We only have 58 days till we all have a "Wonder"ful vacation!

I have been reading trip reports to keep my excitement level up! And I just pre-paid the tips for the cruise, I'm also putting together little goodie bags for the crew. I went yesterday and bought a really nice picture frame with a matte and a set of markers so I can leave it at Guest Services for the characters to sign I was going to also leave a BIG bag of goodies with the matte for the characters to enjoy as a thank you, I figured a nice picture framed with the signatures would make a perfect keepsake (Thanks DISboards for that idea!)

I read through some of our older posts and saw that Skoi had recommended a meet up at Promenade Lounge around 3pm????? Are we all still up for that? I know I am! It's always fun to meet new people on vacation!

My DD has told me that she will absolutely NOT dress as a pirate on pirate night! Apparently that's not "cool" for teenagers Oh-well! But she IS wearing the pink Minnie shirt I bought for her! We really don't have a lot of Disney stuff, but I did pick things out here and there just to add a special touch........we are just getting our cruising feet wet and I wanted to save our money for drinks SHOPPING and more drinks!

I wonder what movies will be playing on the ship???? I really hope the new animated movie Tangled will be and Tron! I really want to see the remake of Tron!

Hi everyone, we can't wait for the cruise either. I talk to my friend whose family is cruising with ours about it every day. The thing we can't wait the most for is to go back to the spa for a massage, chocolate covered strawberries with champagne and an hour in the rainforest room. We did that on the other 2 cruises we went on together and it's such a treat! Our wonderful hubbies will take the older boys off the ship around the local pier/strawmarket and the little ones will enjoy a couple hours in the lab. I can't wait for Palo either, sun/sand, and everything else about it!!

The last almost 4 weeks have been very rough for me. I stepped on a large splinter on the edge of a board on our 7 year old deck (about the size of a pencil) and did not know an over inch long piece of wood remained in my foot after the rest was pulled out. I saw 3 doctors in 4 days to find out why my foot kept getting bigger and red/purple/blue. I ended up with abscessed celulits and had to have emergency surgery to drain the infection and that's when they found the additional wood (that didn't show up on xrays). The scariest thing was the surgeon saying I had lost so much foot tissue I was 12 hours from losing my foot and the wood had ripped through a tendon and was resting on an artery. I just got the stitches out and a walking boot that I surely hope to be out of by our cruise. I'm not having fun on crutches and a knee scooter to get anywhere I need to go, but I'm very thankful it was caught in time to still have my foot. I will have the walking boot when we fly down for a weekend to Disney 2 weeks from today but at least I'll be in Disney! I still can't walk on it from nerve damage, but it gets better each day. I just can't get over a splinter caused everything!

We are eagerly awaiting the 2012 DCL itinerary releases too. Anyone plan on booking the Fantasy or rumored Eastern Med or Hawaii repo?

CherylSue, my 13 year old will not wear anything Disney at all right now. He used to ONLY wear Disney stuff every day of the cruise up until he was about 10. I don't even know if I can get my ds9 in his pirate costume this trip. Look for good sales after Halloween on just plain pirate t-shirts. I got one at Walmart last year for 80 cents. It's worth the $ for one wear!

Hi all, well it looks like everyone is in deffinite cruise mode.Same here. Hey CherlySue, I also have a picture mat and markers. I stumbled across a nice 16x20 at Wal-Mart for $6. I've been working on my FE gifts and since I tend to be a bit of a crafter, there will be a lot of homemade items, some not.

For Pirate night all three of us will be wearing Pirate tee's that I designed, probably bandanas and an earring. I also made special Christmas tee's for MVMCP on the 9th.Can't wait.

Hanover, I'm so sorry to hear about your foot. That's sounds very painful. About a month ago my DH was on a ladder, painting the house and when he stepped down he said he "raked" his leg on piece of branch from an old dead shrub. Well the rake turned into a nasty staff infection. His leg blew up and was bleeding every day. The doctor put him on a strong antibiotic and monitered it a few times after as he was afraid of blood poisoning. Well about two weeks after it was still hurting so he asked me to take a look. (it was on the side of his calf so he couldn't really see it) I placed a bit of pressue on it per his request and to my horror a piece of wood about 1/4 inch wide and 2 inches long came out of the hole in his leg!Well it's just about completely healed now and the shrub by the way has be ripped out.

MommaMouse, I know you've been keeping track of everyone on the cruise but do we have an idea of how many of our happy crusiers are participating in the FE? I'll have enough goodies for everyone and then some just in case of any last minute cruisers.

Linda I don't know whos all participating, I just got enough stuff for 13 cabins plus stuff for the little ones/kids/teens in those cabins..I'm hoping that those that haven't frequent this thread will start popping up now that we are closer..

As for pirate night, I'm trying to find a cheap costume for my stepsister, I know she's not going to want to wear something really piratey..so I was trying to find like a punk style pirate costume and well tthey don't make any in her size because she basically wears my size!

but for sure me and the boys will be in costume!


Hanover! OUCH!!!!!! glad its is better...that actually sounds scary to me...

on another note...my son is out the hospital and is doing much better. Lets just hope I can keep him healthy now..

We are all very excited to be on the cruise. It is our second cruise, and one of my daughters and the first Disney cruise for our other daughter.
I am making the FE for all of us, we have 3 cabins so 3 FE. They are made as of today.
I was wondering if any of you know where I can get the mickey mouse heads that some people have on the ends of the dowels of the FE? I have looked around but have not found them yet. Any information?

Hi there Hot Dog Lady, We are only three adults. Me and DH and our 20 year old dd. This is our first cruise of any kind and we're really excited. The Mickey heads are usually hand made. Some use a small wooden ball and wooden disks, some styrofoam balls and disks. The latter is safer and is what I intend to do. Just glue them together, paint and you're all set. I do have instructions and a pic of the wooden style. If you like I will post it. Happy planning.

So that kind of messes up my halloween plans but oh well. We'll just do MNSSHP, seawolrd will have to wait.

Also WELCOME hot dog lady. It will be me my 14 year old stepsister, and my two lil boys 2yrsold and 8onth old time of cruise.

I'm makimg my ends to my dowels with the wooden pieces. My moms husband is going toaffix the wood circles to the dowel ends to make em look like mickey ears. Matter of fact I have to remind him to do.

I hope they show Tangled on board too. I might wait to see it just in case.
