Hi there, there will be 3 of us. Me and DH. DD will be turning 20 in September. She's already missing her teenage years.:rotfl2:
Linda

2 adults and 3 years old girl. we paid off the cruise a few weeks ago. wait to book thing on the cruise. i guess i have to wait until sept to do so.

So I just got. A few things for the kids. I think I did good! But was just wonderinhow most people do the giftds. I am thinking of just dropping them off. All on the first night. I've heard of folks going everyday to drop off gifts!?!

Just checking in to say hello.

Getting ready to seriously make plans for this trip.

hey Skoi...hope all is well...i've been thinking up a storm on more ideas for the fish extenders...and I'm also thinking if I want to bring my desktop Christmas tree, and put little presents under it for my two boys every day of the cruise...buy some little inexpensive toy...reason I'm thinking about presents, is I have started my christmas shopping...two things I love besides my sons of course, Disney and christmas. I actually cannot wait till Halloweeen since I know its closer to Thanksgiving and then after thanskgiving is when I start wearing my Christmas attire and decorations go up in the house, and christmas music is blaring in car and home and work!!

Hi all, just checking in. No posts for 10 plus days so I guess everyone is busy getting ready for their cruise. I think we are just about set but I realized we needed a bigger suitcase. Hope that doesn't mean that I'm overpacking for this one.:scared1:I've been out straight on my DISign thread for several weeks. So many trips out there so I'll say bye for now and happy planning.:thumbsup2
Linda

hey Linda..yes busy Cruise Planning!!!! and not only that but I'm trying to fit in MNSSHP & Seaworld for halloween weekend and I'm hopnig to do 4 days for MVMCP after the cruise but closer to christmas...I really want to see the Osbourne Lights again, last year it rained and they didn't dance for us. :(

we have a friend that might be able to "Hook" us up..so I'm hoping he can...because if he can't then it means 2 days for halloween and 2 days for christmas bahhhh humbug!!

anyway...I do need a NEW suitcase and I need one for the baby too...Miguel has one...so I've been checking on Disneystore.com to see if the luggage will be cheaper but seems like it stays steady at 69.99...If not then I'll go to good ole wally world and buy the biggest suitcase they have!

Checking in to see how everyone is doing! I'm SOOOOOOO behind in getting things ready:eek: I'm going to buy magnetic paper this weekend and printer cartridges so I can get ready to make door magnets. I don't even know how to make T-shirts! :confused3 I still need to buy some new swimsuits for us!!!!!:scared1: But..........I did go to Universal a couple of weeks ago and went to the WWoHP. Has anyone else gone??? It was so "awesome" (quoting my DD) LOL! It really was awesome!

Hi Cheryl..I'm going to save Universal trip when my son is older...he went with his dad last year and daddy said there wasn't much for the little one to do..he couldn't go on the rides..but I'm really excited to see the WWoHP. I also heard a rumor that they might have Avatar and Lord of The Ring characters (that was for the DIS newsletter I got today) there...so if that happens I'm definately going..I LOVE LORD OF THE RINGS.

also cheryl...making tshirts is easy...Just don't expect them to hold up after a wash or two. alhtough there are good quality iron on transfers but of course MAS DINERO!!! so I just buy any ones I see at Wally world or michaels. I have to buy a few more magnet sheets too..I found some peel and stick ones from Walmart ( 5x6, 2 sheets @ $2) and I found some magnetic circles for the smaller magnets I'm making. and I found some magnetic strips and tape. The Tape I'm using to make a christmas tree, I am stealing the idea from the DOOR I saw on the SHOW YOUR DOOR thread...We'll see if it works.

I'm also making luggage tags. And I bought the plastic that the tags will go in yesterday.

and I also bought some self laminating sheets (those are for the small magnets that will be on the peel & Stick...or the magnet circles (ie The mickey heads I stole from Home Depot).

Hey MommaMouse!

That is very true......there really isn't much for young children to do at Universal. My DD is 13 and she's into roller coasters so she has a blast! I did a survey form Universal regarding the Lord of the Rings and Avatar.....We have annual passes and get a newletter.......the other rumor we heard is that Universal is in the process of designing another theme park that will be place across from Universal (behind the movie theater if you have ever been to CityWalk) That's a rumor though, but in the survey for passholders they asked about it.:goodvibes

WWoHP was really cool! My husband is kinda a big guy and knew he wasn't going to be able to ride the Forbidden Journey.....but he still stood in line so he could see Hogwarts. I think the school was just as good as the ride (the ride was the BEST!) We had butterbeer (cream soda with butterscotch) BUT, we are going back when it isn't so crowded........we really couldn't enjoy looking around Hogmeade :sad2:

oh man I hope the do something with Avatar & Lord of the Rings...then I might get passes just for myself...

looking for ideas to do before and after the cruise. we are leaving NH 12/3 and returning 12/11. what is everyone else doing?

oh yes..MVMCP! or the Kennedy space center..downtown disney is decorated for christmas too..and they have carolers, and other entertainment too.

I know this is completely off the topic of what to do before/after the cruise but I just scored a GREAT deal at Walmart on a Disney beach tote for the cruise.............I got this thing for $3.00!!!!!!!!!!! :cool1: Silly, I know.....but it's the little things that make me happy:goodvibes

Anyone else score any great deals on items they've purchased for the cruise? MommaMouse I KNOW you have! I read your trip report and I L-O-V-E those sunglasses!!!!!!!

(I posted this in my PreTrip Report but wanted ya'll to know whats going on as well) so on top of losing my disigns and having to search each post I made to find some of them...the kids father might not be able to go on the cruise...and when will we know this (LATE OCTOBER!!!)...SO NOW I have to figure out what am I going to do...I'm hoping they have a cancellation policy that doesn't include losing half my money...so that's what I have to do figure out now...if he cannot go, do I go by myself with the two kids and just stay on the ship when we get to Nassau and only get off at Castaway Cay...which I kind of like the idea of that. I don't want to cancel the trip. I could cancel the trip through Dreams Unlimited..and then hope that my son's fathers friend can hook us up with the cruise but we have to wait 30 days before cruise time and what if the boat is SOLD OUT!! what if all they have is the EXPENSIVE ROOMS and I'm back at square one!!

You know that's why I hate planning trips with other people...I was originally going to do this cruise by myself and then invited to father so he can enjoy the time with his sons too. He wants to go, but somethings came up and we won't know like I said till October..

The only thing I think would be hard if I did by myself is, I would have to have the double stroller on board...yuck I hate that thing..its so cumbersome. and I would have to put a harness on my 2year old...which I already saw one in Walmart for $20 that I might buy anyways, just in case. I've gone to places with both of them alone...its not that hard..only hard thing is the stroller. Luggage, I'm assuming I can pay a bell hop to help me off the boat...and my two year old would love the shows...its the baby I'm not sure of..(but I will know how he acts when we go to DIsney on Ice next month)....I will be taking both of them by myself...

Its a hard thing to be a "single" mom...but I can't stop from having a good time with my kids because it might be a littler harder on me physically...I imagine we will be in the kiddie area pool most of the time. and waiting in line for characters and my 2year old likes to explore so we will be doing all of that...it would be great if he was potty trained by then, maybe the little toddlers club will let him hang out with them..

anyways...I've been saving up for the cruise, and money is not the issue, its whether I do it alone or not do it at all. My plans for next year includes Disneyland so I can't plan two trips in one year. and of course there's the why don't you wait till they are older....I don't want to wait..I want to go on a disney cruise myself...now...lol...anyways...I'm sure everythingn will work out.

Sometimes when I get too excited about something, there's always hurdles on the way there...

Mama Mouse don't get too disenchanted !!! Cruising with 2 little ones is no worse than Doing anything else as a solo Mom! It just takes good planning! The double stroller although cumbersome will be a blessing as well!!! It will hold your kids and more that you will need!!! I was a single Mom for many years and braved All kinds of activities alone including a trip to Disney World! You will be fine and have a magical time!!! And if you need help once on board And don't mind a surrogate Grandmother type I'd gladly lend a hand. My own grandbaby won't be with me on the cruise.... still praying she and her Mom will join me at AKL afterwards!!!! Janet

I agree with djblu883, you will still have a magical time!!!!:wizard:

Imagine how special the cruise will make the holidays! The decorations on the ship and Castaway Cay! Even decorating your stateroom! I think it will be just fine! I was a single mom for years also so I understand.......believe me!:scared1:
