Dec 5, 2009 -- now traveling to Tortola

Lucky girl. Wish we could stay but must get DD back for school and we have to return to the dreaded workplaces!:sad2: I did figure out today that if our flight arrives early enough we can go to MVMCP. :santa:

Did you know that with tickets to MVMCP you can enter MK at 4:00? If you don't plan on going to MK earlier in the day (therefore needing a regular park ticket), it gives you a little more bang for your buck and a chance to get some rides in before the party starts. Hope you can go :goodvibes

Hello Everyone

Remember me? Well, anyway, I have not visited for a while; figuring I should wait a while til this board was hot with responses...I see that it has come to fruition...Well anyway, my family and I are on this cruise as well...I was raised on the Island of St. Croix and still have family members living there...So, that is how i will spend my time...visiting my old house where i lived and some family members as well...a family member is getting married in June of this year and my husband and I, without the kiddies, will probably be heading that way...that way we will be in St. Croix twice in one yr...I cannot wait...anyway...back to work i go...talk to you all later. Oh, I will keep in touch...bye everyone
Hey, we have our very own St. Croix expert on this cruise! Even if you aren't going on any of the Disney excursions, maybe you can make recommendations of things not to miss for the rest of us?

Hi All!

I know it's 7 months to the day of our departure to Orlando tomorrow. Can't wait!

I was away from the board this week on a business trip and hardly had enough time for anything.

Did I miss the Question of the Week?

Did I miss the Question of the Week?

No, you didn't. NHDisneylover hasn't been on in awhile and she was the one with all the great questions. I think food was the topic last time and she something about desserts. So I'll go ahead and post The Question of the Week.

What is your favorite dessert???

Me: Anything chocolate! Or is it just anything sweet? I can't choose!!! As long as it's a dessert and doesn't have raisins in it, I'll probably eat it. I :love:love:love: dessert. It's my favorite part of the meal

DH (Jarrod): Tiramisu

DD10 (Haley): Probably chocolate

DD3 (Cameron): Cake or Ice cream. He's like me, he'll just about anything.

ME: Rice Pudding or 'Ohana bread pudding served a la mode with Bananas and Caramel Sauce @ The Ohana dinner!

DH: He says German chocolate cake but give him anything chocolate and he's satisfied!

DD: Ditto on the 'Ohana bread pudding with extra banana caramel sauce:banana:

My favorite dessert is probably a Mocha Frappicino(sp?) or Tiramisu. DH says his is a ice cream and warm fruit cobbler combo.

What is your favorite dessert???

Me: I love any dessert! I prefer fruit pie over cake so for my birthdays I ask for birthday pie over birthday cake. I'd say my favourite is lemon merenge but not too sweet and, while I like cake, not too much sugar

DM (Christine): Ice Cream (especially when it's hot outside)

DS8 (Erik): Pumpkin Pie

DD6 (Holly): Candy

DS3 (Peter): Most things sweet. He's not old enough to have tried anything he likes best

Hi everyone!

I have not posted in a while, but I hope you all are well. We are no longer going to be going on this cruise. I do hope you all have fun and I will be thinking about you on Dec 5th! Have a great time!:thumbsup2

[/COLOR]Hi Everyone--sorry I have been gone for a while. We have been hit with mounds of relocation related paperwork which we thought was all done--all comming back for round two:rotfl2:I swear every peice of paper has to get stamped at a different office somewhere within a 50 kilometer range and then dropped in person at yet another office along with photocopies of 6 different items:lmao:By the time I am done delaing with it all my brain is mush and I am not up to keeping up with the thread:rolleyes:

Anyway, I promise I well work hard and get the website going this week. The first place I tried to get free webhosting kept sending me emails that their system was down but would be back up soon. I am giving up on them. Dave found something this weekend, and created this: http://wunderbar-wurst.synthasite.com/ while I was at a bithday party with the kids. No idea why he didn't make the cruise roll call:confused3 but now I know where to get webhosting that works:thumbsup2 so it is all good.

Welcome aboard to our newest members and to mvlimmex we are sory to lose you.

Carmie: your FE is adorable--nice work:goodvibes and THANKS for posting a new Question of the Week. That was exactly what I had intended to post:upsidedow

Favourite Desserts:
Me: Ice cream sundaes with lots of hot fudge and caramel and no nuts, or Key Lime Pie

Dave: Tiramasu

Marika: chocolate Soufle (yes the Palo's recipe;)) or french cake

Rio: Creme Brulee or Chocolate soufle

Favorite Dessert!!!!! I love this topic.

DH - Any kind of pie and lemon cake!

Me - The chocolate lava cake that they serve at Palo. Yum!!!!!

Does anyone of a rundown of what the nightly schedule is, i.e. Pirate, Formal, etc. Are there any navigators out there?

Have a great day!!!

I'm just a rookie at the Disney cruises, but my understanding is that it's a random setup. We won't know which nights we are assigned for which restaurant. Palo won't be included with the random as they have that additional fee to eat there and reservations are required

Thank you! And as far as the question, I used your hint from the question before. You said something about saving dessert for next week so I thought that might be it:goodvibes

Quick update -- I just went onto the DCL site and the price of our stateroom has gone down. I know that our travel agent will give us the new price. I'm not sure how widespread it is but your price may have been reduced as well. It's worth a look!!!! It will save us $250 and that it a couple of cabana massages on Castaway Cay!!:cool1::cool1:

We're cruising on DVC points, but are currently booked on cash until we get DH's vacation schedule in writing (it's been verbally okayed). Anyway, I just looked at a new quote and it's the same as it was when I booked over 3 months ago. One thing I did notice though is that they didn't automatically include travel ins in their quote like they have before.

I hope I'm wrong and that the rest of you will get a refund.

Thanks Mickeymania!

I just went through the reservation process online and, since we have 2 adjoining cabins, that's going to save us $500! :thanks:

I wonder if they credit us the cash or make it an onboard credit.

7 months today we sail!party:

well, I called DCL and the difference in price was the fact that I did not include the Disney Protection Plan on my reservation when I just did the simulated reservation.

Sooo, I was wrong in my calculations and the cruise price remains the same.

Darn!

I feel sheepish:sad2: I had hope for 24 hours until my TA confirmed that it was the insurance. Sorry for the wild goose chase.:rolleyes1

It is worth checking back frequently. On our last cruise we were refunded $700 because of a last minute price change.
