though if she had qualified - she would have been at high school swim meet - marching through the meet and helping to qualify relays to move one step closer to the state meet - where loads of college scouts check out all of the senior swimmers

Nan is multitasking I see. She is also visiting Claudia and Owen at their town on Animal Crossing.

It is very cool, Nan, Molly and Wil are talking live to them while they are playing.

Thank God Kara is not playing, I don't think I could handle her and Molly together again.

Marla, I feel your frustration, but Nan's right. Don't drive yourself crazy over it. Just focus on what's next, getting her into college without going broke. And do what I do...go to a sporting goods store, buy a baseball bat, and tell Kara if she doesn't get it, the bat will explain it to her! It works for Jesse...he's grown to believe the baseball bat is my extra limb, he sees it so much in my hand! And it works. Did you see any lumps on his head? No, because just waving it around speaks volumes!

I'm so bored tonight. Spent the day doing laundry and then at the doggie park with Brian, and now he's asleep and everyone is out. No school all next week, and he wants to clean out the garage for his "rock band" to have a place tp practice. My poor neighbors. As Tig can tell you, we all live on top of each other here in NYC, we can hear each other breathe, so I may have to do some apologizing beforehand for the noise. One good thing, as bad a reputation as Brooklyn people have for being combative and short-fused, the truth is that everyone is really very tolerant, so it should be ok.

Debbie, if you're reading this, please call me if you still have my number. I got a new cell phone and for some reason many of my saved numbers didn't transfer into the new phone. I think I must have saved them to the phone itself and not onto the sim card. I'd really like to talk to you.

I have some money in my jetblue account and I'm thinking of taking a solo trip to Cali to visit my Cali friends over Easter break if y'all want to be bothered by your dear friend Aisling. I'll lose the money if I don't use it soon. I don't need to do any sight seeing, just spend a few days with the girls.

I'm in my car, was going to go watch a movie shoot, but changed my mind. If Tiggie were with me, I would go. It's a Jack Black comedy not too far from me, Coney Island (which isn't an island by the way, as Tig can also testify to that!)

Tig, you have to come up during the summer, there are free concerts in the park. Last summer we saw Peter Frampton, Jefferson Starship, and Liza Minelli. OMG remember when I sang karoake Caberet on the ship and they cut me off for the song not being family-friendly?? Too much rum does that to me! I should have done it at the adult night karoake, but Artie begged me not to!

It's midnight now, I think I'll go pick up Jesse from his friend's house.

it would be great to see ya baby. I'm happy to have you at our house, but ya know we have no guest room, just a couch...maybe we can coordinate a fun beach weekend at our favorite Seascape resort???? Let me know the dates you are thinking and I'll check the race calendar.

SF is an hour away from me in san jose, gilroy is another 30 minutes south of sj. San Jose is much easier for me than SFO. Brenda tells me she flies out of Monterey, not sure if that is worth looking at. I'm not sure if Jet Blue flies out of SJC or not.

It was for the greater good. Nobody was in the mood for R rated karoake that night.

Actually it was me that wanted to sing Macho Man that night, but you wouldn't let me.

Marla, has Kara told you what she wants to do for a living? Perhaps its not something that she needs a 4 yr degree for, but rather a vocational college.. I know that my sister wasnt meant for a college, yet mom made her go anyway, and she still doesnt have a career or job path and she is 34. She has gone back and gone to a 2 yr technical school.. and enjoyed that, but like everything else, hasnt pursued it.

My neighbor's daughter is going to a technical 2 yr college to be an u/s technician.. they apparently get paid A LOT~

Just thought I would throw in my .02 as well. LOL Sorry she blew the scholarship.
