Hi All!

No, I am not really pregnant, although I probably looked like it most of this trip from all the food I consumed!

I just got back yesterday from a 7 night, 6.5 day trip to Walt Disney World! I went with my boyfriend(Corey), his mom and dad, and his sister, brother in law, and 5 year old nephew. We had a blast and I am super sad that this trip is over, because I don't think we are going back to Disney until October 2013, after the Fantasyland expansion is complete.

We stayed at Pop Century and we had the Free Dining Plan. I only got pictures of me and my boyfriend's plate most of the time. We celebrated our anniversay while we were there so we got some special anniversary things. We have been dating for 9 years- since junior year of high school! Still no engagement :rolleyes1..Oh well, it will happen someday! Here is our schedule of the food that we got to experience!

You have some places listed here that I'm definitely interested in hearing about! Looking forward to more!

We ate this night about 8:15. Our plane landed at 6:50. I absolutely love POP Century's food court. I think it is by the far the best at WDW! I get the same meal everytime here; the Chicken Penne Alfredo. That always is good! Here it is this time.

1075.jpg

This wasn't the best I have had. As you can see the chicken was a little burnt around the edges, and I think the sauce was a little overdone because it is a little darker than usual. It was still good, but it could have been slightly better. I always ask for a little extra sauce because I like it saucy! I don't want to know how many calories is in this...

Corey got the pizza. Not much you can say about this besides it is the typical Disney pizza. He ate it all.
1076.jpg

He got the Oreo cupcake for dessert. Ugh, this was so sickenly sweet. He only ate a couple of bites. I tried it and it was just so sweet. The frosting was like straight sugar.
1077.jpg

I got the Tye Dyed Cheesecake. I don't love this dessert, but I still like it! It would be better if it wasn't Tye Dyed because I feel weird eating the bright colors. This is a reused picture.

All in all Pop Century is a solid counter service choice. As long as I get the Chicken penne Alfredo I will always enjoy it there! There is lots of selections there.

Joining in! I always look like I'm pregnant with a food baby when we get back from Disney! :lmao:

I'm in Rach! You have not aged at all by the way lol. You have me really missing WDW at Xmastime...this is the first year in 6 or so that we havent seen the decorations :sad1:

We started off the morning at MK, saw Justin Bieber perform:rotfl:, and then headed to DTD for lunch. We had a breakfast planned at Kona, but cancelled because we wanted to get to MK early to see Justin Bieber perform. Haha, that was fun! We had a snack at Main Street Bakery to start our day- their ginormous cinnamon rolls.

1103.jpg

This looked better than it tasted. It always looks absolutely amazing, but it was pretty dry and a little overcooked. I like my cinnamon rolls undercooked. It wasn't horrible, but it could have been a bit better.

For lunch we went to Dublin of Cookes in DTD. I was surprised this was on the dining pan.

I got the Fish N Chips because I couldn't decide what I wanted.
1124.jpg

I really didn't like this very much. It was too heavy. The fish was really greasy and the fish was sitting on top of the french fries so then all of the fries got covered in extra grease. The breading was very thick and greasy so I kind of picked around the breading.

Corey got the Battered Chicken Tenders. He really liked these chicken tenders, but then again, he lives on chicken tenders!
1126.jpg

I was stoked for dessert because they had a pistachio cupcake! Corey got chocolate soft serve ice cream. They didn't have the option to pick up the ice cream after lunch so we received it with lunch, which was a bummer.
1125.jpg

The cupcake was just blah. It had no pistachio flavor and the frosting and cupcake tasted like a boxed mix and frosting. The frosting was too sweet. Corey enjoyed his ice cream, it was very chocolatey.

I liked to try this place but I don't think I would come back here.

Thanks! I think I haven't aged because those were all taken in my 20s. Once I hit 30 it will hit me. Although, I look the same as I did in high school so maybe thats not true. Haha

I laughed out loud when I saw your title !! Sooo funny !! Joining in for more !!

I'm joining too!! Let me just say that my boyfriend and I were also dating for 9 years as well and we finally just got engaged a few months ago! We'd been dating for so long so it's not any surprise that we'd get engaged one day so I told him that when the day came I'd like to pick out my own ring so he said "Start looking then!" :lmao: That is the extent of his proposal! We're not romantic people but at least I ended up with a ring that I love! :lovestruc

My daughter and I are also staying at Pop next month after our Disney Cruise and I think I will try that Chicken Alfredo! Can't wait to read more!

I usually hear nothing but good things about Cookes of Dublin but I agree that the fish piece looks really greasy. I've had similar situations here with fish and chip restaurants. The chicken tenders do look very tasty though! :goodvibes

Pop Century looks like it has good food court items - and it looks like they give you a lot of food on your plate too!

I always feel like cinnamon buns look better than they taste, not just that one! For me, it's the type of thing where I'm good with one or two bite, but can't really eat a whole one.

Cookes of Dublin looks okay - I like some greasy food once in awhile ;) But disappointing to hear that the desserts weren't very good!

Oh yes...had to change again. And Adam just found out yesterday that he has to leave to go to St. Louis for work the day after Christmas for 8 weeks. So that puts him home like 3 days before we leave for our trip, so its causing a great deal of anxiety. I made his boss promise and swear up and down he would be home before our trip.

Can't wait to read the rest of your reviews!

Well I just lost my entire post... I guess I will start over. Dinner tonight was at Cape May Cafe. We were worried Corey's parents wouldn't be able to get here in time because they had to turn around at the runway because something was wrong with their plane so they had to wait 2.5 hours to see if they could fix the part. Luckily, they made it in time. We were very late to dinner because it took us 2.5 hours to get from POFQ by boat to DTD, then bus to Beach Club. OMG- never again.

Corey's sister also ate here this night, although they were at a later time than us.

Here is my first plate.
1139.jpg

The butternut squash soup was good- not as good as Wolfgang Puck's. It was a little too sweet. I really like Cape May's house salad which is a salad with blue cheese, balsamic, and cranberries. That is delicious. I also liked the salad up in the top left. That was pretty good. I think it is orzo salad?? The tomato, cucumber, and onion salad was okay, maybe a little too plain. The other salad in the bottom right- I have no idea what it was and it was weird tasting.

Next plate!
1140.jpg

The only thing I liked on this plate was the red skin potatoes and the mashed potatoes. The fish was okay, but I can't remember anything about it. I have a horrible memory.. The mashed potatoes were so much better than last year! last year they had a pesto sauce on top and it was greasy! This year they were more normal, but very garlicky! Everything else on this plate was gross. They got rid of a Lobster Tortellini that they had last year that I was looking forward to having. Bummer!

Next plate up is the key to Cape May and getting your money worth!
1141.jpg

Crab legs! Yum! they were very good today. The meat came out in one piece for the most part and the crab legs were delicious. I think I had about 6 claws.

The dessert pictures are re-used pics. The other desserts are not great. They have some brownies, cookies, and cupcakes, which you should not fill up on. The other specialty desserts are the raspberry cheesecake(tasteless), the flan(okay), and key lime tarts(Corey's mom really liked these, I didn't love them), and the Oreo Bon Bons, which are the shining start of the dessert table.

Oreo Bon Bons are one of my favorite desserts in all of Disney. The bottom is an oreo, topped with oreo mousse, dipped in chocolate, rolled in cookie crumbs, and topped with yummy chocolate frosting. These are sinful and are heavenly.

Cape May was just okay. If it wasn't for the crab legs and oreo Bon Bons there would be no reason to go there. We are huge crab leg fans and now I am a huge Oreo Bon Bon fan. I didn't see the receipt here, but they said it was $40.99 per person. I am not sure if that is right, but that is ridiculous if it is true. It isn't worth that much. I am not sure if I would go back to Cape May next time, whenever that next time may be.:sad1: Does anyone who is going to Disney with a family need a vacation babysitter? Haha.

Lol, thanks, I am following along to yours as well.

Im in! Cant wait to har about OHana and Garden Grill :O)

Thanks for joining in!

Count me in - great start :thumbsup2

Thanks Linda

That gives me hope and you're lucky that you are going on a Disney cruise~ I want to go soo bad.

Yeah, I should have switched with my boyfriend's!

I know, I was really upset about that cupcake because I love pistachio things.

Thats sad that he has to leave for 8 weeks. Hopefully everything works out with this trip and you don't have to change again. Now this will just give you another chance to go back and see Christmas decorations. I swear- it is an entirely different experience at Christmastime.

Today was Hollywood Studios day! After doing the rush for TSM and then getting our fastpasses for it(by the way that is the way to do it, not get fastpass first!), Corey and I headed to our ritual breakfast snacks at Starring Rolls.

I got the eclair, which I always get. This comes out of the refrigerated case, so it is cold. The cold creme mixed with the pastry is so delicious. I really like this chocolate covered eclair. I also got coffee, which was yuck! The only time all week I had coffee.

For lunch we had a reservation at Prime Time for out of pocket, but Corey decided he really didn't want to eat there. I was a little bummed because I wanted to eat there because the last time I ate there was in 2006. He is a little picky with food and nothing really appealed to him there. I went inside before lunch to cancel and as I was walking in an older woman was walking in and I managed to find out she wanted a reservation for 2 for lunch, so I told her I was cancelling one and I just gave her my name and time and she used ours. She was super happy, so that made me happy that I gave the reso up. We managed to see her and her husband walking around like 4 times that day. It is funny who you repeatedly see in the parks.

So, we had snacks that we paid out of pocket for lunch!

I had a pretzel and cheese. This was really bad. The pretzel was pretty hard and chewy and just wasn't cooked enough I don't think. She had to give me cold cheese because they didn't have any warm ones. They actually gave it to me for free because it wasn't warm. I wish I would have got something else, such a waste of a precious Disney lunch!

Corey was craving a hot dog. Wit the meal, you get chips. He didn't want the chili dog so he had them leave it off. I think he liked his better than mine.
