Dec. 2, 2007-4 night Wonder and MouseFest Cruise

Anyone have any experience with Flounders? I seriously doubt I"ll use them--I'm way too paranoid--but I'd like to know what other's think. I looked at the booking stuff, if I do get brave, when would be a good time to book some time? I noticed that most of the day at Castaway Cay is booked (except early and later) and I'm not sure what shows, etc. are happening to go ahead and book those times. Palo's seems to be all full which is fine with me because I'm not a fine dining kind of gal (I'm more about the Mickey bars which to me is fine dining)! Also, if you book and then don't use the time, are you charged? I've seen a wide variety of opinions on this. DH would like to book some time but I'm having enough issues thinking about leaving my other two in the kid's club....my 5 yo would be fine (he's done it before), my 3 yo is my little princess: and she's never been away from me before...sniff, sniff :scared:

They'll be okay, right? Which poster here is the reassuring one?????????

We are stoked! And as long as Marc doesn't read the above post, I'm gonna be just fine!:rolleyes1 :flower3:

Unfortunately, Marc is subscribed to this thread, so found the above message in his email first thing this morning! Hint: Only the first post is emailed; hide other messages by writing an innocuous one first.

Good thing the pups would miss him....

Nothing wrong with being a geezer that loves Dinsey, I'm looking forward to joining that group myself (Someday...) :rotfl:

My 50th birthday is next March and we already have the trip to Disney planned. Spent my 40th with Cinderella and I have every intention of doing the same for my 50th, 60th, 70th, 80th. Maybe not 90th though.

Marilyn, this will be our little secret; don't tell anyone, but Marc has both you and John beat. shhhhhhhh...

Michael

This sounds like something we could use to blackmail you........... What will you pay?

Only two week to go for us. I can't wait. This weekend Jessica has a meet and next week is Thanksgiving and shopping and packing. Tom has been busy making magnets for our door and most of them have been a secret from me. Uggggg I hate secrets. I just want to see them. I think he is going to make shirts for us too. We'll see how much time we have to do all this.

Hi Jennifer,

I have never used flounders before, but have heard very positive things about them.I am like you thou, I'd rather just keep my little guy with me. He just seems so young and all. I am sure thou that if I did put Isaac in Flounders , he would be fine, but we won't be doing it on this trip. Maybe on next years trip when he is a little older.

As far as the clubs go, I know my 5 year old son will do well too, but I am not sure if my 3 year old will go in without me or not. She is in preschool and does pretty well there, but she also knows the teacher well which helps. I am going to put Zach in the 3 and 4 year old group (you can move them down) to be with Stephanie. I am hoping that will hellp. Zach is a little immature for his age and he just turned 5, so it should work out alright. You can also stay with her in the clubs while the activities are going on if you want to. It may not be as convenient, but she may get used to it more that way Even if she doesn't go into the clubs, I wouldn't worry. There is just so much to do on the ship[ that she would still have a blast!

I hope this helps. :santa: What is your room # on the ship? We are connecting rooms 2622 and 2624.

Vicki

SSB did use Flounders a few times... but years back when they first started it. It was a nice addition, as before then you really did not have an option for the really young kiddos. In general, I had a good experience with.

We have connecting rooms as well, can't remember the numbers now and DH has the info. at work. I hope that mine can stick together too if they both go in--I know DS will look out for DD as much as a 5 year old can! I also worry so much about abuse and stuff...it doesn't help that I'm a former therapist for sexually abused kids (prior to being a SAHM!) so I'm paranoid.

I can't wait!!!

What! You'd poop out at 90? No way!!! You're only as old as you act!

Although I understand that the characters are not fond of folks who drool all over their costumes....

I'm hoping to be alive at 90, but doubt my legs will make it on 14 hour park days by then. Besides, I think my Disney Vacation club ends for the most part when I'm 84. I think we have AKV until I'm 99! :lmao: Even my nieces and nephews will be in their 60's by then. I guess they'll have to hope I die young if they want to inherit. :)

I don't have my docs yet. :sad1:

I'm going to call my TA tomorrow.

I don't have mine either. I've emailed cruising co.com two days in a row now to find out who my new TA is (old one no longer works for them) now and when I can expect my documents. No answer yet. Anyone else here a customer of cruisingco.com AKA MouseEarVacation.com?
