Hi, All!
I have not been on the boards for a few weeks, as this is my busy season (I work in college admissions and it is college fairs season) plus our daughter's high school musical (no, not THAT one, but it was Disney....Aida!) Now those are winding down and I can focus on the fact that three weeks from today we will be sailing out of Nassau! And I can't wait. I have been doing some secret Santa shopping on my trips, and tonight we got out the suitcases, so it is beginning to look like....Mousefest!
I'm a little behind the threads, but DH Kevin and I will be at the Nov. 29 and Dec. 6 MVMCP. Wish there was some way we could identify each other. I'll be one of the several hundreds in a Santa hat too, unless it is unseasonably warm as it was in 2004, and in that case I will be the one with the bad 'hat hair'!
I don't recall any night being specifically designated as a 'dress up for dinner' night when we sailed in 04. Is this new? It seemed to me that the dress code was more in keeping with the restaurant--semi-casual for Parrot Cay, rather dressy for Triton's, and something in between for Animator's Palate, although I did see the full range of styles in all 3 places, so no worries. Which night is Pirate's night? That has been added since our cruise. What is the dining sequence now? Do you repeat the same restaurant 2 nights in a row--one for Pirates and the next for the specialty of the house?
Also, I just wanted to clarify the Secret Santa. I thought we were doing one gift per night per cabin, rather than per person. I may need to go find a few more items if we need one per person every night. Also, if this is "secret", will we have an opportunity to identify ourselves at the end of it all? Can we find some time to meet on our At Sea day, perhaps? I know I will want to thank my secret Santas! Have I missed some guidelines while I was out on the road and away from my email?
As for all the stress about dresses and packing, I'm trying not to worry or plan so much this time. Last time I felt as if I needed to study to pass a pop quiz or I might miss something. This time I am reminding myself it is all about fun and relaxation!
