Dec 08 Waitlist thread

I have 2 studios @ Boardwalk for 12/5-12/7, I will be canceling 1 of them this morning. Good luck! I hope this makes somebodies vacation complete.

After reading the last two posts I have high hopes that the waitlists will start moving this month as more and more people are finalizing their plans.

I know I made somebody very happy - I canceled Dec. 28-Jan. 2 - (2) Studios OKW.......decided to go in January - why fight the Xmas crowds? - But now I'm finding just as difficult for Martin Luther King weekend??? - I have reservations - but had to split between SSS and OKW - and waitlisted for either to come thru so we can be together at the same resort!
I just can't believe how busy Disney is ..... no availability, anywhere, for (2) studios for that weekend??? - WOW! the stock sure doesn't act like it's so busy???

My wait list will probably come thru for only (1) Studio at either Resort.... (I do have (1) Studio confirmed at both resorts - the first wait list that comes thru - I'll cancel the other resort!!) -

I find the reservation tele. process very bad - I need (2) Studios at the same time for the same resort - When I reserve (1) Studio - they have to finish the reservation - by the time they do that - the OTHER Studio is gone!! How bad is that??? Why can't tey put a 'hold' on the both Studios and THEN finish the reservation process???

It's really annoying to keep calling and calling!!!

After 17 yrs. a member - I've never seen it this bad...I'm getting really disappinted in Disney!!

These are my exact dates but I checked and I did not get them! Dang it! Good luck with your new ressie!

I was on the wait list for all resorts for a 1-br for Dec. 9. It came through today for SSR. I will remain on the wait list for OKW for that date in the hope that we won't have to change resorts. Anyway, things are beginning to move a bit for the holidays! Good luck to everyone!

YEAH!!! The last day of my waitlist came in today!!!! I needed a studio at OKW Dec 7.

We have a standard view studio reserved at BW 12/21-12/25 (booked at 11 month window) Waitlisted for a ONE bedroom ANY view. Only started waitlist 1st of September. Random days were available, but we wanted all or nothing for this short trip.
Also waitlisted for BC one bedroom, same time frame.

I just checked my point activity and some of my waitlists came thru!!!! We are currently booked at SSR in a 2 Bdrm for 12/7-12/12. We had waitlisted for BCV for the same dates. I am not sure exactly what happened and will need to call MS tomorrow and ask exactly what waitlists they have me on. BECAUSE I got a studio at BCV on the nights of 12/9 and 12/11. Need to call and figure everything out tomorrow.

But, I had also waitlisted for the night of the 12th for 2 studios at SSR and both of those came thru. SO, if nothing else we got our entire stay covered at SSR now, 12/7-12/13!!!

OK, I talked to MS this morning. I had been waitlisted for my stay as a whole and also as individual days. Even though my original ressie was for a 2 Bdrm unit and an extra studio unit, we had to cancel the studio due to a few family members being unable to go. BUT, when I canceled my studio the waitlist held in place . Thats how the individual nights were coming thru.

So, this morning I canceled my studio at BCV for the nights of 12/9 and 12/11. I hope this helps someone out. I am still waitlisted for our entire 5 night stay as a whole at the BCV for 12/7 thru 12/12. Here's hoping!

Still nothing here....been waiting since FEB for a 1BR at AKV. I'm starting to think we aren't going to get a room Dec 31. If not, I guess we will cancel our other nights and stay home this holiday season.

Im starting to think my waitlisted studio for either SSR or OKW (12/6-12/10) is being held hostage for cash paying customers! I saw the the public room-only discount has been extended until a December 7 booking deadline.

Waitlist activity seems to have picked up a little over the past week. Maybe things will start freeing up. Of course, there are a lot of us on the waitlists and except for OKW and SSR, we haven't seen too much movement.

We cancelled our waitlist for BCV Studion 12/4-12/13.
