Our normal is Monday, but I also went to the one by my work at lunch yesterday to get chips for lunch. And it was packed. We will have to go this evening as we're doing Thanksgiving on our own, just the 2 of us. Our 5 friends that were coming over wound up changing their plans. So I will have to find a small ham and everything else (potatoes, corn casserole, green bean casserole, rolls, pie) to go with it. We talked about doing Cracker Barrell because it might be cheaper than buying and making all that food. But we don't want to eat out. Plus, we have to cook to go to my parents for Thanksgiving this weekend. They're having fajitas and tamales, so normal Thanksgiving food won't work, lol.
Chips for lunch!!?? I think you meant to say apples for lunch, no?A whole pineapple is $2 at our Shop Rite. Dh buys one every week and cuts it up when it's ripe. I put some in a little container the night before so in the morning I can just grab and toss it in my lunchbox. So easy. He has it down to a science. Once all the green on the outside has turned to gold, it's perfectly ripe and omg sweeter than candy but it also has a lot of fiber.
Your doctor would prefer this over chips for lunch and you would actually feel better eating this way over time. It's a win-win and a pineapple is way cheaper than chips.
