Congratulations!
I've totally been itching to go back to Vegas after our last trip there lol.
We've only been twice (Nov 2020 and April 2021), but we had a blast both times. At least aside from the flight issues we had in April that pretty much solidified the fact that we'd rather drive lol. It's an 8-9 hour drive from where we are or a 1.5 hour flight. I might be able to convince the hubby to fly again though for just a quick weekend. Maybe after all the other plans we have for the next few months. I realized last night that we have quite a number of things coming up between now and January lol. It's our favorite place ever! (Even more than Disney) We went the first time in November of 2019...and then went in Feb, Aug, and Nov 2020.

Checking in for the first time in a while! Finally got my new to me car after an entirely too long and ridiculous process that I won't even explain... but got a 2019 Toyota Camry that I'm loving! The gas mileage is amazing. I routinely get 40 mpg on the way to work. We drained the car fund to buy that, so we are now in the process of rebuilding that back up. We hope to buy my husband a new car at the end of 2022, so need to do some hardcore saving.
After a fairly disastrous summer, everything else seems to be going ok right now. I feel like I'm always waiting for the next shoe to drop, but hopefully that will pass. We have a couple nice trips planned before the end of the year. We fly out a month from today to spend a week in New England roadtripping around. Then we'll have a week at Disney in December with the family. Everything is booked for New England, and I have all the money set aside for Disney, just need to pay it. I keep hoping they will bring the dining plan back before then and I can add it. I thought for sure they'd have it back in time for the 50th, but now it seems like they may not![]()
We are going to Disney in December too. I have it all paid off except the $900 it cost us to upgrade to Port Orleans. I keep thinking I am going to wait to pay it when the dining plan is back too! I really hope it's back by then!
I reallyyyyy thought about changing to PO for our trip. We have Pop booked though and I decided that with trying to herd 6 family members, I was going to stick with what I know!

Also was making plans today on the SW website as it seems very popular site today! The dining plan wouldn't work for us, but I can see how it might be for some. No immediate plans for WDW as others here planning trips in the near future, but rather have plans for going to DL in spring. Just have to purchase tickets still, not quite ready to do that yet. Haven't been there since 2010! Waiting for Tron to open with WDW and make a plan then, or wait for both Tron and Guardians, but speculating that might be a while.
I finally booked our flights back home for our cruise in January! SW opened up their schedule through April today so I jumped on it. It still cost me more points than I wanted, but I did end up booking their business select fare which guarantees us an A1-A15 boarding group. This will be nice so we don't have to worry about trying to check in while on our cruise. Fingers crossed the fare drops in price and I can get some of those points back.
No luck, mine are still the same points. I've had times with past flight reservations I look, and it's gone down and get points back. That is so nice when it happens!I just checked the flight I booked yesterday to see if it was the same price or not and it'd actually gone down in price! I was able to get just over 6000 points put back on my SW account.
@jen7233 if you booked flights yesterday i'd check on yours too![]()
The birthday parties, they were so fun to plan and host, and I was always completely exhausted by the end!I'm now trying to decide where to host my DD5's birthday. I originally thought renting a pavilion at the park outside of the zoo, but then I have to lug all the stuff there and I believe prices went up. The alternative is have everyone come here, but then I'd want to kennel the dogs so they don't accidentally get out with all the kids going in and out. Guess I should also start working on the decorations too. Lol.
Well Peeps, it's finally DONE. Our mortgage is finished!

What a massive weight lifted off of my back. Something good had to come from this pandemic and this is it for us.
I also put $700 into our Christmas fund. I usually work on that in July and August so I'm feeling a bit behind but this year we are keeping it simple and giving our kids $. Last year it was hard for them to come up with a list. I might still do stocking stuffers for a little bit of surprise.
My dad will be 80 this winter so for now I'm working on finding a place with a private room to have a little dinner gathering. Sadly, almost all of his friends and relatives are deceased. The friends that are alive have multiple health problems and most likely won't make it. I'll still invite them and hope they can come. Even if it's just my siblings and our kids & spouses, I'll do my best to make it a happy occasion for him.
