Debating on Cancelling Trip

I say go, and make some Fp's just so you can have a few to chose if you want go on, or switch when you are there. I don't wing it but if I had to wing it or not go. I'd wing it i'd make the best of it no matter what.
Have a good time.

I just came back from BLT in December and ate at the Poly and thought to myself I wouldn't want to stay there at the moment. It was a lot better than September but Since you can move, I would try switching to another resort.

Happy planning.

I agree with the others, go! Sounds like you guys know exactly what you want to do, and who could turn down time with their kid!

All that said.....IF you do decide you want to cancel.....don't cancel....simply call Disney at least the day before checkin and CHANGE DATES. You won't lose your deposit. So...switch to any other date. This then starts the "clock" ticking again, and believe it or not, you can then call and actually cancel and get your money back. It's one of those loopholes that somehow Disney knows but doesn't do anything about.

I hope you decide to go, though!

So I pushed back a November trip to January and now it's snuck up on me...we're supposed to leave on Saturday morning! I normally spend hours and hours planning our trips, but I've been so busy the last several months that I can't plan at all! So now do I go on this trip next week or cancel??? I'll lose 1 night's deposit if I cancel after tomorrow :(

Decisions, decisions...

Can we really have a good time on a last minute trip?

What's to plan? Wake up and go to a park, when hungry eat. Really there is not as much planning that needs to be done as I read on the dis.

Of course you can have a good time on a last minute trip! Especially in the slower times. We typically plan as little as possible, only the absolute must do things to allow for last minute decisions.

You may have to wait in a few lines. That would be OK with me to be on vacation and having fun at Disney.

We're leaving Saturday (1/24) as well and I've been playing around this week with changing some ADRs and FP+ and have had very little trouble. Sometimes there are only a couple choices for a time slot, but that's very easy to work around. Even all the headliners (Besides A&E and 7DMT) still had plenty of availability. Good luck!
