I am so glad to hear that! Lobster Bisque was exactly what I had planned on for my appetizer :) :thumbsup2

Yum, yum, yum!

Sorry for the lack of updates lately. The last month or so has been really hectic.

The kids go back to school at the end of this next week, so we have been doing lots of back to school shopping. Also my oldest had soccer camp in Texas a few weeks ago, so we had to make a trip down there to drop him off, then another trip a week later to pick him up.

The following weekend, we drove up to Kansas City and did a "mini BBQ crawl".

Then the following weekend, DH & I had to drive back down to Texas for a meeting for a health/wellness company we have a business with.

So...busy, busy, busy. Now with school starting back up, that means dance classes, soccer for oldest DS and now Itty-Bitty soccer for DS3. Plus, we will still have volleyball games to go to even though DH is no longer a head coach, he is still a volunteer assistant.

Anyways, how about a trip related update??!!

Just a few tweaks to our ADRs. Our new list is as follows...

Dec 18 - no ADR booked b/c we are doing MVMCP
Dec 19 - lunch Chefs de France / dinner La Hacienda
Dec 20 - bkfst H&V / lunch Sci Fi / dinner Coral Reef
Dec 21 - bkfst CP / lunch LTT / dinner Chef Mickey
Dec 22 - bkfst KONA (was Cape May) / lunch T Rex / dinner Yachtsman
Dec 23 - bkfst CAPE MAY (was Kona) / lunch Y&Y (was TH) / dinner WCC
Dec 24 - bkfst CRT / dinner Ohana
Dec 25 - bkfst Akershus / lunch Le Cellier / dinner Tutto Italia
Dec 26 - lunch Via Napoli / dinner SOA
Dec 27 - bkfst TH / lunch SANAA (was Y&Y) / dinner CG
Dec 28 - lunch San Angel

Booking lunch at Sanaa on our second AK day guarantees we will get over to AKL to see the Christmas decorations! :cheer2: If we still want to go back over to AK after our ADR we can do so, otherwise we can head back to BW and freshen up before dinner.

What else is going on...?? Oh, we decided against ordering a tree from Disney Florist. We werent crazy about either one being offered this year, so we will just be bringing our own. I found some cute Mickey ornaments on the Disney Store webstie for half off, so I ordered a few sets of those. We will then let each person pick out a Christmas ornament at MK or DDD.

I also purchased the Victorian Mickey & Minnie stockings for half off for DH & I. Last year during the holidays I purhcased Disney stockings for the kids, but didnt purchase one for DH or myself (I was secretly holding out for those Victorian ones!!)

I promise...promise to get a day 3 update ASAP :thumbsup2

Will our Candlelight Processional narrarator EVER be announced??!!!! :faint:

I checked the WDW website today after not having checked for a couple weeks and what do I find...

TBA narrarators announced for other dates, but there are still 2 sets of dates without narrarators...

AND OURS IS STILL ONE OF THOSE TBA NARRARATORS

I just want to know who it is...I really dont even care who it is, but I just want to know. It could be Joe Bob the plumber...I just want to see something other than TBA.

I've been toying with the idea of us doing another MVMCP, but the only day we could do would be Dec 21, which would be the last party of the season. I know that one will be :crowded:, so I think I will just keep us with the one we have on Dec 18 and be happy with that.

Perhaps we can do 2 MNSSHP next Oct :scratchin

Speaking of the Oct '13 trip, we are pretty set on a costume decision...I know, its super early. We watched Peter Pan the other night, and since then DD has decided she wants to be Wendy next year for Halloween. Since she wants to do that, I figured my little boys could be Peter Pan and Captain Hook. I can be Tinkerbell. DH and DS9 can be pirates or one can be Mr Smee. Its fun to be planning it, even though its so far away.

We are also considering adding a few nights at the beginning of the Oct trip at AKL. Havent booked anything there yet, but will decide something in the next few weeks.

The older kids start back to school tomorrow. We had enrollment day yesterday and met their teachers. Cant believe they will be in 5th and 4th. DS3 will start Developmental Pre-K on Monday, and my baby will start Developmental Pre-K after his birthday later on this year.

Hopefully with fewer distractions I can manage to get some work done on this PTR and bring it back to life. I have shopping pics and movie night pics I need to download from the camera, and finding a time I can do that these days is hard to come by.

July Disney dinner & movie nights

July 6 - Bugs Life -- Oven fried chicken, baked beans, potato salad, punch bowl cake, gummy bugs, iced tea. I was trying to go with a whole "picnic/cookout" theme.

We even had red and white checkered plates to go with the picnic theme...

341.jpg

July 13 - The Increadibles -- Hero sub sandwiches, chips & Increadible dip (7 layer dip), Frozone's ice cream sandwiches, Super punch (red Kool Aid).

The table was decorated with red plates, black cups, yellow silverware

July 29 - Parent Trap (1961) -- Hamburgers, sweet potato fries, S'mores

We have 2 movies planned for August, 1 we did last weekend, the other we will do next weekend.

Day 3 - December 20

Hollywood Studios

Today is our 1 full day at Hollywood Studios.

Our morning will start out with a pre-park opening ADR at Hollywood & Vine. My older kids are definately not looking forward to hanging out with Disney Jr characters, but this is our little boys first trip and I want them to have lots of fun too.

We have eaten at H&V in 2008 for breakfast, and while it wasnt the most spectacular breakfast we have ever had, the kids had a good time, and it was a nice way to spend the morning.

Pic from our last time at H&V back in Aug 2008...

dw20.jpg

Our ADR is for 8am. The little boys love Jake and Oso. We will be asking for the check as soon as we sit down, that way when we are done, we can make the crazy run to TSM :crazy2:

DS10 also wants to do JTA. He will have just turned 11 about 2 weeks before our trip, and he really wants to do this while he still makes the age limit. So, someone will wait in line with him (:wave2:) and someone else will go make the TSM Fastpass run (DH :rolleyes1).

We have a lunch ADR for Sci-Fi. This was DS10 pick. Hopefully we will get a "car" seat. I hear all sorts of highs and lows about this place. We have never eaten here, but as I said, it was DS pick, so we will go with it.

Our must do's at HS...TSM, RnR (couldn't ride this last time b/c I was pregnant...and it was closed most of the day so DH couldnt ride), ToT, Star Tours. DS10 really wants to do RnR and ToT this time around. DD says she will do RnR, but I really dont think it will happen. Also will let the kids spend some time at Honey I Shrunk the Kids playground.

Here is a pic of DS10 (age 6 in pic) at that playground...

dw21.jpg

We would also like to see the parade as we have never seen it. This may be a scenario of a parent taking the little boys to see this while others are on a ride, depending on time.

Characters...we HAVE to see Phineas and Ferb!!! My kids LOVE their show, even my little boys!! DH and I watch the show even without the kids being around. Also have to see Buzz & Woody, Lighting McQueen & Mater.

Osbourne lights are definately a MUST see! We will probably try and be there at 6pm when they are turning them on for the night.

Once we are done there, we will head over to Epcot. Not sure if we will walk or take the boat (about 30 min either way). Why are we headed there??...

Dinner at Coral Reef.

This is another of DS10 choices. I had originally planned on us trying to get our Candlelight Processional package here, but opted to just get an ADR here when they finally started releasing some before those CP packages were released.

Our ADR is for 830pm. We wont have time for anything else at Epcot besides dinner since there is no PM EMH tonight.

After dinner, we will walk back to our hotel and call it a night.

** Dont miss the updates over the last few days starting at post 223

I feel so sad :sad2: :sad1: , I guess I'm boring and not a very exciting story teller :confused3

I guess I will have to just keep talking to myself until someone else decides to join in :rolleyes1

I realized just moments ago that 4 months from today...at this very hour (if I look at EST)...we will be...

AT MAGIC KINGDOM!!!!!!

I am beyond excited...granted, its still 4 months away, but still...its only 4 months away :woohoo:

I think we will start our countdown at 60 days, so I still have time to figure out what to do. Did I mention how NON CRAFTY I am??!!

I have been looking online the last few days trying to get an idea of what I want to do for our countdown, and I think I found something I like on Etsy.

As soon as September gets here, I plan on going ahead and paying off the trip. I was holding out until free dining came out (just in case :sad2:), so I'm not too confident on any type of room discount or PIN at this point either, so, I will just go ahead and pay it off.

Also I need to make a final decision on a nicer camera (I have a couple in mind) and go ahead and purchase it in September also.

Last big thing to purchase is a few more pieces of luggage. I need to get a couple more carry on pieces and maybe 1 more large suitcase.

I'm also trying to decide if we want to do a split stay during our Oct '13 trip. We are booked at WL for that trip, and I am REALLY considering adding a couple nights at AKL. So, I think I am going to go ahead and book that room in a couple weeks so I know we have it.

I will start posting shopping pics (probably one tonight)...have to keep my many readers happy :rotfl2:

I have been reading along but not posting because time has not been on my side. I know what you mean about being lonely in your own PTR, mine was a few weeks ago. I still only have 2 regular followers.

You are a great story teller!!! I just have a crazy busy life that keeps getting in the way of my online reading!!! I mean, those people I work for expect me to actually answer the phones and talk to patients about their bills?!?! Like I have time for that?! I'm PLANNING A TRIP TO DISNEY PEOPLE!!!!!!!!!

The lights are AMAZING at HS! I mean, seriously- the best time of our whole trip last time. We can't wait to go back and see them again. We MAY end up going over there on Thanksgiving day to see the lights- I mean, it's a tradition for us to go look at Christmas lights on Thanksgiving Day! :yay: But do I want to fight the crowds??? Cause I'm sure everyone else has the same idea!

Oh and we're trying Hollywood and Vine on our next trip! I can't wait! Gotta get those fastpasses!!!!!

Don't feel bad about being alone on your PTR. It's seems like summer is slow on the boards. Most people are reading but don't comment as much.

I tend to read updates on my Kindle and hate commenting on it, so I read updates and don't comment. Once I get back to the laptop, I totally forget who I commented on and not.:confused3

I do love your Disney movie nights:thumbsup2 I keep thinking about planning them but not sure how to keep DH happy since he isn't a big Disney movie fan.

Hollywood and Vine is one character breakfast we haven't tried. DD is a bit old for the characters. I would like to try it one day though. It looks cute.

I love reading your PTR. I spend last fall in Austin. Texas is such an awesome state, i miss it.
Planning for wdw is so much fun.

Debra: Like I said on my DR - HOW did I not pay attention and see that you had a PTR!!!! I love your DD's name - Harper is so unique and beautiful! What an amazing trip you have planned!!

I apologize if I read page 1 then skipped to read backwards but are you still do Dxl dining + CL? We did that in 2010 and it was a very food laden trip but we had no worries about where our next meal was coming from!! :rotfl2:

How cute that you do a Disney themed moving night. I'm always impressed with Dis mom's creativity! And I'm sure your kids are thrilled as well. :goodvibes

I think I would brave the lights on Thanksgiving! I love Christmas lights!

My oldest definately are not really looking forward to H&V bkfst, but they know they have to let their little brothers experience some of the littler kid stuff. My oldest will be happy b/c its a buffet.

We really miss Texas thats for sure :thumbsup2

Thank you for the compliment on Harper's name. We just love that name :)

I apologize for the lack of chaper index in this PTR. I started it and couldnt for the life of me figure out how to do it, and now that I know how, its just a pain to go back through and do it. My DR & TR will definately have links.

But, to answer your question, yes, we are still doing DxDP AND CL. We arent really utilizing the CL nearly as much as we should, but we do plan on a couple breakfasts there and some snacking. Definately a lot of food to be had on this trip for SURE!!

Thanks for the compliment on the Dinner/movie nights. We have so much fun with them.

Thanks for following along Brenda!

I NOW HAVE CHAPTER LINKS!! Went through my entire PTR this evening and added chapter links for everything to make this more Dis-er friendly!

Oh my goodness - You just added 40+ chapter links! Great job!!!

I want you to know that I watched my very first Phineas & Ferb tonight...with my 16 yr old DD. :thumbsup2 So cute!

Nothing better than a balance of $0.00! The Peter Pan night looks great! I so wish I was creative like that, but I'm totally not. :rotfl:
