Dear Santa, I'd like a double-deluxe Disney Xmas!! Dec'12 PTR! Upd 1/20 TR & DR links

Debra your DTD day plans look wonderful. I can attest that even big kids like Goofy's Candy Co!!! :rotfl2: You'll love Yachtsman - it was one of our favorites on our last trip. :lovestruc

How did you get the chocolate on your tiger stripe cookies so perfect?? They look really good! ::yes::

I am actually afraid to go into Goofy's Candy Co! I have a huge sweet tooth and those ADORABLE caramel apples are calling my name (I dont know that the $9.99 price tag is though :lmao:)

The chocolate on the tiger stripe cookies is actually Tootsie Roll. I just rolled it out thin and used kitchen scissors to cut it to the shape I wanted ;)

The countdown is on!!

We officially hit the 60 day mark yesterday which began our OFFICIAL countdown to WDW!

We had a fun dinner & Disney movie night (I will post the details in our Oct movie nights in a few weeks) & I hung up our official countdown calendar.

This pic was taken a few weeks ago (I knew it would probably take me a while to upload the pic :rolleyes1), but here is what we are using for this trip...

072-1.jpg

The older kids will take turns nightly switching out the numbers before bedtime.

November and December will be super busy -- Jaxon & Evan both have birthdays in Nov, Hunter's birthday in Dec, Thanksgiving, putting up the Christmas tree, Christmas Mickey cookies, fudge, Harper has her Christmas dance recital, DH is out of town for 5 days RIGHT BEFORE our trip and comes home the day before we are leaving...when we will be doing our Christmas, packing...

Plus we are looking at 6 or 7 more dinner & Disney movie nights :)

59 days to WDW!!!!!!!!!

I love your calendar! It's a great idea I never would have thought of suction cups!! Hehe now I am thinking of other ways to change mine!:goodvibes

I am only a month behind on here:headache:

I just read through your ADR list and I am so jealous. You have so many great places. I am so torn about where to eat on my next trip. I have been spending way too much time reading dining reviews and would love to have 3 adrs a day. I think I am down to 2 a day but might have one day with 3 adrs.

:yay: for being paid in full. Such a great feeling.

T-rex is DD's only request this trip. We went there once before and we all enjoyed it. It is loud but the theming is great.

Yachtsman is on my list of possible choices. Are you going to do a dining report or trip report for this trip? You have so many places I am considering for Feb. I would love to hear your thoughts on them.

I love the suction cups too! Makes the countdown calendar completely reusable ;)

They may have to roll us out by the time this trip is over :rotfl:

I have made a couple small tweaks to the ADRs (again!!), but nothing too big. Got rid of Sanaa (wasnt sure how the older kids would feel about it, plus I wasnt sure about leaving AK on our last full park day...thought I might have a mutiny on my hands!), added an Ohana bkfst too. I will re-update our ADRs a week or so before we go...just in case I make another change ;)

I do plan on doing both a TR and a DR, starting those in early Jan. I will post links to both here in my PTR upon return from our trip.

I am glad to hear you enjoyed T-Rex. The food does sound yummy.

Welcome!!

I wish I could take full credit for the countdown calendar, but I actually found in on Etsy ;) I loved the idea of it being re-usable and I loved the suction cups for the numbers. It was really affordable and so much cuter than anything I could have come up with.

27 ADRs -- what am I looking forward to most??

This update will be a bit different. This one will focus all on the food. We have 27 ADRs booked (and I am about 99% confident this is how I am leaving the list).

Breakfast

Hollywood & Vine
Crystal Palace (Puffed French toast)
Kona (Tonga Toast)
Cape May
CRT (Lobster & Crab crepes)
Akershus
Ohana
Tusker House

Lunch

Le Chefs de France (Quiche Lorraine & Cinnamon apple crepes)
Sci Fi
LTT (Ooey gooey toffee cake)
T-Rex (T-Rexadillas)
Yak & Yeti (Fried Wontons)
Plaza
Le Cellier (Canadian cheddar cheese soup & Wild Mushroom Filet Mignon)
Grand Floridian Cafe (Grand Floridian burger)
Rainforest Cafe
Via Napoli (Quattro Formaggi)

Dinner

Coral Reef (Crab cakes)
San Angel Inn (Avocado Margarita)
Chef Mickey
Yachtsman (Lobster Bisque & Truffle Mac & Cheese)
WCC
Ohana (Bread Pudding)
Tutto Italia (Prosciutto de Parma)
Spirit of Aloha (Pineapple-Coconut bread & Pineapple-honey BBQ ribs)
California Grill (I have no idea what the menu will be by then, but am super excited for this ADR)

OK, so now I am officially starving!

Between all these ADRs, plus 120 snacks between all of us and CL offerings, I dont think we will ever be hungry.

I will do a post in the coming days regarding all those snacks. I have a few ideas of where I will be spending a few of my credits!

Wow that list looks gooood. And, if you see me and want to slip us a dole whip, you know, no worries. Lol 127 snack credits. We only have 28. And I thought that was a lot. :)

This will probably be our only time doing DxDP (until we can go on trips w/o kids). Usually we eat a couple TS and some QS, but DH wanted to take some time each day to really enjoy the food (plus it would give us guaranteed down time).

I will totally get you a Dole Whip if we see you :thumbsup2

Hi Debra! I love your countdown calendar! If I was one of your kids I'd totally be fighting to be the one to change the number for the countdown! How fun. You are so creative with your movie and dinner nites. And thanks for giving me the scoop for the tiger stripe cookies... very clever!

Oh my gosh! I would totally die of sheer bliss if I had all those credits to "spend" on snacks... But then again, I would die not hungry! :rotfl2: Your dining line up looks fabulous.

:)

I dont know how we will spend all those snack credits to be honest. 120 snacks is definately a LOT for sure.

I am worried about having to be rolled out on our last day :rotfl2:

After MONTHS of waiting...

and waiting...

and waiting...

and waiting...

and waiting...

and OTHER Candlelight Processional narrarators being announced...

WE...

FINALLY...YES, FINALLY...

have a narrarator!! :yay:

Who did we get??

Alfre Woodard...

as soon as I saw that name, I did this... :scratchin

I honestly had NO idea who this person was, so, thanks to the lovely internet, I had to Google and read up on Wikipedia :surfweb: to find out more about this person.

Ok, so now I know who she is, and sadly, I havent seen much of her work...if any. :sad2:

Oh well, at least we have a narrarator, and I'm sure she will be great ;)

Hello :wave2:

Subbing On... (better late than never...)

I have to go back and read - but your family is very cute...

and I love your Dis name... is that your real name?

I just saw your CLP narrarator...Alfre Woodard... when I posted and she should be very good-great voice... We have Neil Patrick Harris... (he of Doogie Howser fame) and I'm a little bit nervous...I hope he's serious... I'm sure he will be---people have said good things about him...:confused3

:wave2: Welcome!!

I have always heard great things about NPH doing CP. He & Whoopi are the 2 narrarators everyone raves about. He will be great ;)

I see you have a PTR too, so I am off to read yours.

Wow...You do have a double deluxe Disney Christmas planned...

What an awesome trip you have planned and with plenty of time to to enjoy it...:goodvibes

We have a shorter trip planned -5 days- at the end of November-beginning of December...

Because of that -we probably won't do the Christmas parade this time...but it is so much fun... you'll love it...

We missed the Osborne Lights though and the CLP ... so we are really excited to be doing those this time...:thumbsup2

I love the Boardwalk area... and can't wait to be staying in the Beach Club Villas... I love all of those resorts...its so incredibly pretty there especially at night... with everything lit up...:)

Your movie nights are really cute... I've done that before in the past and am doing in now do ... but your dedication is really impressive... I'm sure your children really look forward to them...

You have some great ADRs planned as well and as for using your Dis Snack Credits... well good luck with that... you can always get things that are wrapped to bring home...;)

Everything sounds awesome...:goodvibes

We are super excited about our trip. We've never done a trip that long (anywhere), so hopefully it all works out. We knew we wanted to stay longer after our last WDW trip.

I love the Boardwalk area. We've been there during the day only though, never have seen it at night, so I am anxious to see that. All the pics makes it look so pretty.

Very much looking forward to MVMCP, Osbourne lights, CP and seeing many of the Deluxe hotels decorated for the holidays.

We absolutely have a great time with our dinner & Disney movie nights. The kids get super excited about them. I write them down on the calendar at the beginning of the month, but dont really give them much info as to what I have planned.

Our ADRs have changed around a bit here and there over the course of the last few months, but I am leaving them alone now. There are so many places I want to eat and I think I would need about a 3 week trip to get them all in.

I have a few ideas of what I will be using some of my snack credits for ;) and I know we will be bringing lots of goodies home with us.
