My sister and I just booked a last minute christmas trip so i've been lurking around anyone who has the inside scoop on christmas time since it is our first trip during this time! I'm so excited to keep reading all the updates! we're the same age so it's nice to see disney from another young adult perspective! haha! :thumbsup2

i may not have gotten there yet but did you book a candlelight processional dinner package at epcot? i hear the standby lines are out of control so i just wanted to give you the head up someone gave me!

I can't wait to read more! hopefully i can catch up by the weekend!:)

HELLLO! Yay for someone my age! :woohoo: And I do the same thing! I love looking for Christmas TR's and such! We're not doing the candle light processional...I dont think the bf will be too interested in that. We have HDDR planned...and MVMCP (Yay for that!) Are you doing MVMCP?? I am SOOO excited for it! :santa:

Thanks for joining in! Better late than never! :cheer2:

After I posted that stuff up there....I realized we're going to be there at the same time!!

I am finally caught up so I’m sorry if this post is a little long I just want to make sure I included everything! Haha

Dole whips are so totally worth trying. I was apprehensive the first time I tried it too, but if you like pineapple then these take it to a whole new level. Hah I can’t go to the magic kingdom without getting one now

You’re mini planner is adorable and is a great way to keep you organized and distracted! It turned out great! :thumbsup2

All of your ADRs sound delicious! HDDR is so awesome! We just went there in July for the first time in a few years and it was just as fun and hilarious as I remembered! My sister was even a part of the show so I think you guys will really enjoy it! and the food is delish home-style yummyness! Prime time is also a favorite of ours! Its all about the experience and that fried chicken is super good! So is the milkshake, but I’m a sucker for sweets! :rotfl: Rose and Crown is worth it just for the lovely accents! I could listen to them talk all day, but that’s just me! We went a few years back and really enjoyed the experience so we’re going in December! The fish and chips are great, which they should be (that’s what my DBF told me in July at least :) ) so I hope you enjoy it! (even though I understand the disappointment about Canada!)

We are going to be there at the same time! That’s so exciting. Our trip is short however due to both of our school schedules, but I’m still just excited to experience the christmasness of it all! We are going to MVMCP and I’m so excited! We just bought our tickets today! I heard that last year all 7 dwarfs had a photo area in fantasyland which is extremely rare! I don’t know if they’ll be doing that again but I saw you loved the dwarfs and thought I’d give you the head up i saw!

Sorry this is so long! Haha I can’t wait to read more about what you have planned! :thumbsup2

First, dont apologize for long posts, I LOOVE them! :rotfl:

YAAAY for being there at the same time! When are you going to MVMCP? We're going the 16th! SOO EXCITED! :santa: Yeah I'm really, really, reeaally hoping the dwarfs are there! Would love a photo. :cloud9:

I'm really looking forward to all my ADR's...especially HDDR because it sounds super fun! And DBF is looking forward to the food there. And I cant wait to try rose and crown just because its going to be something different...I wasnt aware of the accents! Thats just going to make it even more fun!

Steph- I hopped over and caught up. I love that you are soooo excited for this trip, and how you are head over heels for Disney!

It looks like the crowd calendar is very light for the dates. I am glad you were able to switch from Christmas week. You would have loved Disney, but it would have been harder to accomplish as much.

I saw your ADR's. We loved Tusker House, and I might make a ressie there for our upcoming trip. I still need to decide where we should eat.

For your friendship album, I wanted to show you what I did for a friend going. I've done this twice now, and plan on doing this for any friends travelling (who aren't quite as obsessive as I am...)

You can check it out here

I try to include photos in my PTRs and I am very good about including them in my TRs. I have a DSLR and love to share my pics. Please read my old reports if you are interested.

My December report is posing a problem for me because I don't want to see everything ahead of time...

I am curious where in PA you are located and if you are okay sharing, what college Pat attends... We are about 30 minutes outside of Philly and about 20 from the Delaware state line. I teach at a high school in Chester County.

We drove to Disney summer of 2009, and plan to drive each summer to save money. I drive a swagger wagon (you have to youtube it if you don't know what it is...) We couldn't drive last summer because of a time crunch. In the winter, we fly, again due to time. The drive in 2009 was fine going down. It was harder driving home.

I don't remember seeing if you bought flights. Southwest has flights for about $200 round trip out of Philly right now. I bought early and switched tickets for a credit with Southwest. (So, we might not drive again this summer.)

I spent a lot of time on the touring plans website before and during the time of switching our dates....I hand wrote all the details of the days because I wanted it organized on my paper different then they had it on their site...I spent hours figuring all my details out...it was insanely obsessive. I also have the unofficial guide to walt disney world and have spent hours digging details out of that book.

Ohh, I'm SO excited about Tusker House! I have heard nothing but great things about there!

The little book you did for a friend is great! I need to redo mine now that I've changed so many things!

I love photo's! :goodvibes I enjoy scrapbooking and take an obnoxious amount of photo's! And I just think they make PTR's and TR's more interesting. I've done a horrible job of including photo's in mine though! :headache: And I will definitely check out your TR's!

We are about an hour and 20 minutes away from Philly and his college is about 20 minutes from Philly! He's pretty far away....and he goes all year round...I'm ready for this vacation since I never get to see him!

We havent booked our flights yet because my dad is buying those for us as our Christmas present but he's waiting to "snag a deal". I told him he better get the earliest one there and the latest one leaving! I've been telling him about the deals southwest have going right now. They had a holiday travel deal which were flights starting at $59! :scared1: I think it said you had to book that deal by today though. :sad2: I've done some research on different airports and I found it was about $20 some dollars cheaper to fly out of BWI instead of Philly airport.

Well I need to apologize for my lack of Disney updates but I am so extremely busy I dont have time for Disney planning. :sad1: The free Disney time I give myself I spent looking at other peoples PTR's and TR's which I quite enjoy doing. :surfweb: So today's update is simply a life update of a few things that have taken place within the last few days.

FIRST! I made sweet and sour meatballs in the crockpot! (I LOOOVE CROCKPOTS!) :cloud9: Its just frozen meatballs, brown sugar, sauerkraut, BBQ sauce and thats literally it! So easy and so yummy!

I love coming home to a dinner that made itself! ;) (my dad usually does the cooking so he was happy about this too!) :rotfl:

Next, I went and picked up my gorgeous purse this weekend! She's had it forever and now its finally in my possession! I love it so much but I'm afraid to take the paper out of the inside and use it because I dont want it to get dirty!

The meatballs look yummy! And they look super easy to make - I might have to try them. I love my slow cooker too - I use it every chance I get. :thumbsup2

And I am in love with your Disney Dooney... I'll admit that I stalk that thread occasionally - I just love to look! :lovestruc

That's awesome! I will give it a try.

I think I'd be afraid to use the purse too... :confused3 Although - I do love purses. :lovestruc Last month, DH actually counted (can you believe that?) and he said I have enough purses to change out every day for 2 months! :rolleyes1 I used to have a serious Vera Bradley addiction, but then I discovered that I can make my own... I just finishd designing the bag I want to carry in the parks - now I'll see if I have time to make it. :confused3

D~ <--- I just posted a link to your PTR in my PTR, because I posted my first mini-planner page. :thumbsup2

Crockpot season is probably my favorite season! Especially since it usually coincides with New TV season. :)

Pretty purse! I always want to buy a big purse and then I remember that I usually just have my phone + money and why do I need a big purse? And then I just stock up on wallets. It's a slightly cheaper addiction I guess. ;) It looks like you got nice placement!

I have an INSANE love for Vera Bradley! :lovestruc I was just at a Vera Bradley and Coach Bingo on Sunday! :rotfl: But I didnt win anything. :sad2: I want to get a Vera backpack for my trip! :goodvibes Or a crossbody! Decisions decisions...:confused3 I hope you post pictures of the bag you make! (if and when you find time)

and Yay for Mini-Planners! :woohoo: They are just so cute and fun!

Haha unfortunately I could LIVE out of my purse! I have so much stuff in there its obnoxious. But then when I try to clean it out...then I start looking for the stuff I cleaned out! :confused3 Soo big purse it is! :goodvibes

Cute pumpkin patch!
I think that is my favourite D&B purse design. It's too cute, I'd be like you, too afraid to get it dirty!
I LOVE my crockpot too. I haven't used it in a while... /drifts off to check ingredients

Oooh VB and Coach Bingo... = Bad, very very bad. :rolleyes1

I first discovered VB when I was planning my last trip, and I ordered 3 different hipsters (2nd style - I think they are up to 4 now?) and it's still my favorite bag - followed very closely by the Saddle Up (I wish it had a zipper - the size is perfect)... I prefer cross body bags more than any other - and VB's straps are so comfy to carry! :thumbsup2

Once I am done creating all these AG outfits - then I will concentrate on customs for the girls and I for our trip - including park bags for all of us - themed on our favorite characters (or ride, for oldest dd). It should be fun and keep me busy right up until our trip. :wizard:

I came on your PTR to see how your Mini-Planner is coming along... I needed more inspiration. :worship:

Anyways, I hope you get lots of fun trip stuff done this weekend - or at least lots of daydreaming. :lovestruc

I need to decide what bag I want to take to the parks! I have an old backpack but I really dont like carrying backpacks around! Sooo I'll probably have to purchase a new Vera bag....:rolleyes1 I'll look into their cross body bags!

I'm hoping to update my mini-planner tomorrow or maybe tonight! :thumbsup2 I need to get it done! My trip will be here before I know it! :woohoo:

Is anyone else in disbelief that October is already coming to an end?! Geez! My trip will be here SO soon! (and my dad still hasnt got us flights....fuming... ) So today's update is a mosh posh of ramblings with a touch of Disney lovin' and...no photo's because my iPhone is currently updating. (And taking a million years to do so) So onto to ramblings and lovin'.

Well first I must start out with saying that my darling boyfriend :rotfl2: came home this weekend which I was super thrilled about because I adore any time I get to spend with him. The guy is way too busy...college...sheesh...give the poor guy a break! Anyway, we went to Walmart on friday night (late night because we have a love of going to walmart when no one else is there!) because I found a giftcard from last Christmas that we still had money on! :woohoo: So we walk into walmart and BAM! They have Christmas stuff out! So I literally skip down the aisle to the decorations and what do I find? DIIIISSSNEEEY DECORATIONS! :dance3: I didnt go crazy buying stuff though because of my party pooper bf and his "wait until they have all their stuff out before you buy" theory got in my way. But I did buy some window clings. Penguins, snowmen and OF COURSE Mickey and Minnie! :goodvibes :santa: I also got a hello kitty clutch to keep little things that I have in my purse so they're easier to find.

Then Saturday after eating some pizza we went to meet his friends to go to the Bates Motel and Haunted Hayride! :scared1: If you ever get the chance to go I recommend it. It was an awesome time! Unfortunately I forgot my camera! So I have no photo's of the awesome time we had! But I have to say it was so much fun! I realized that if you just laugh they usually pass you by to pick on the easily scared people. (which I totally am but put on my super brave face and came out VICTORIOUS!)

Then today he went home....:sad1: And wont be back for awhile. But at least we had a good weekend together.

But enough about my life...

DISNEY PLANNING STUFF BELOW!
So my trip is paid off! :woohoo: :dance3: :cheer2:  :cool1:
And now I'm just waiting for my father to get us our flights! But lets not talk about that! :headache:

Now my goals are as followed:
  • Pre-order Photo Pass
  • Finish Mini-Planner
  • Purchase a new Northface Jacket
  • Purchase a bag to carry in park (suggestions?)
  • Make tshirts
  • Buy more SD cards!

I know I definitely want a Photo Pass CD because I want to have some photo's of both of us and I want to pre-order it to save the $50.00. My mini-planner needs a ton of redoing and it has been horribly neglected! I have a love for northface. So I want a new one! And I need a bag to carry in the parks but I could use opinions! :) Please and Thanks! And SD cards should just be an obvious!

Thats all for now! Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend and I hope everyone has a good monday! I dread mondays! :guilty:

Next Post!

ACK!!! Here I thought you posted new Mini-Planner pages below... :surfweb: I was really looking forward to them - Oh well - I'll continue stalking your PTR. :surfweb:

Bummer that your BF had to go home - but at least you got to see him. :thumbsup2

Ok, a bag to carry in the parks... Since you are such a huge VB nut, like me, I vote for VB. So, let me tell you why my vote is so important... well, I read every single "WDW bag thread" I see - so I consider myself educated in this matter. :rotfl2: So, in these threads, the general concensus is for Bagalinni bags... however, I think that's just because those people have yet to find VB. :rolleyes1 I really liked the old Hipster, but VB has changed it so many times. I recommend the 2nd generation, because the quality is top notch... I do NOT recommend the 3rd generation (lacking quality) and I know nothing about the 4th generation... I'll bet you are relieved that, at least, there is something I don't have an opinion on. :rotfl2: So, saying all of that... a few years ago, in one of the "WDW bag threads" - I took pictures of my VB Hipster all packed up with my park necessities - and lucky for everyone reading this thread - I still have them on my photobucket.

Before I post the pictures though - I need to add - DH was kind enough to carry my gigantic planner in his backpack, because there was no way it was fitting into my Hipster. Whatta guy! :worship:

OK, are you ready??? The pattern used in these photos is "Capri Blue"...

Outside - full:

Inside large zipper compartment - empty:

Inside the small front zipper compartment (a Zip-ID and GCs for each of us):
CIMG4838.jpg

In the large main zipper compartment (Camera, water bottle, ponchos, tylenol, tums and something in the zipper bag, but I don't remember what) :
CIMG4843.jpg

If you really wanted to carry a Passporter - you could - but that would be pretty heavy, and you couldn't get much more in there:
CIMG4840.jpg

Then in my front slip in pocket, I carried my park map/times guide, a Sharpie and lip gloss:
CIMG4841.jpg

And of course - modeled on an "above average size, middle-aged woman" stuffed full (the purse, not the woman) :rotfl2:

There you go - I hope you enjoyed my mini review on the VB Hipster. :thumbsup2 And don'tcha think that Mini-Planner of yours will fit perfectly next to the bottle of water??? :lovestruc

Hello! I just came across your PTR and I'm now all caught up! I love your ideas and plans. I wanted to comment on a few things I came across:

1. The dates: We are planning to go Dec 18-24, but I am currently trying to get our dates changed to Dec 15-21. I'm just waiting on a few of my DD's teachers to return emails concerning letting DD make up any school work.

2. Photopass: If you want to save a little money on this, you can go to facebook and there is a page for "photopass shares". There used to be threads on here for that, but it's no longer allowed on the Dis. I have done several shares, and it's always worked out great! PM me if you want more info on that.

3. Tusker House: I am also SO excited about this one. It's one of those ADR's that we definately want to do!!

4. Your mini planner: I just wanted to say I LOVE that idea. It's so cute & organized!

5. Dole whips: You have to try one!! We have been going to WDW since 2006, and this year (back in June) was my first time ever trying one. I can't believe what I had been missing out on! :lovestruc

Can't wait to hear more about your plans!
