Dear Santa, I'd like a Disney Trip for Christmas! - TR started!

Yay 16 days! I've been finding ways to cut down my countdown.. 'Oh, we shouldn't count the travel days, we'll have left then. Oh, we shouldn't count the weekend before, we'll be packing then..' so we're at 11 ;)

That's so weird you haven't got your mail yet! Ours was kind of anti-climactic, given that we don't have Magical Express or anything.

I think your cameras are pretty good! Unless you invest a ton more money, you probably won't get any good night pictures (need to have a way to get lots of light in, either through a slow shutter speed, high ISO, wide open aperture, etc. And those aren't really cheap features).

We leave the same day and still no Mickey Mail here. Watching for the delivery man like a hawk ;) Our agent said our ME has arrived, but she is holding on to it to over night to us when our Mikey Mail arrives. 16 more days and I'll be in WDW 15 until we get on the plane!!

:rotfl: I cant remove any days from my countdown....I work until the day before I leave! Bummer. :sad2:

I think I'll call if I dont get it soon...:confused3

Now that is a bummer. :sad2: I need to start playing the lotto I guess. :rotfl2:

I went through Disney instead of a TA...so I thought mine should be here by now?? Probably going to call sometime soon....

WOOHOO! :woohoo::woohoo::woohoo: :banana::banana::banana:

DS5 loves the Hot Dog song/dance. He'll get up and dance to it everytime he hears it -- it's a rare to see him "join in" the fun. :lmao:

:rotfl: DBF's nephew's first word was HOT DOG! He loves mickey mouse clubhouse!

You are so close to being on vacation! AHH JEALOUS! Though I can't complain since we're 50 days away, and that isn't too terrible!! Can't WAIT to hear about your trip, seriously!

Sooo I really dont have much to update lately. Kind of just...rambling and stuff. I'm currently watching the grinch. Love this movie. :lovestruc (I love both of them, but currently watching "the real one" as we refer to it)

Lately I've been obsessed with etsy. I go through phases where all I want to do is look at things on etsy. I'm in one of those right now. They have SOO many awesome Disney things. SHIRTS especially! There's this one shirt with gingerbread mickey's embroidered on the front....I WAAAAAAANT some of those so bad! But it says it needs more time than I have before we are leaving. :sad2: So I will not be getting any awesome shirts for our trip.

OHH I almost forgot! I ordered a park bag! But more on that once I get it!
:goodvibes :thumbsup2 :cool1: :dance3: :cheer2: :banana: << that's me being super excited!

WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAA! I JUST LOOKED AT THE CALENDAR! NEXT WEEK IS THE LAST FULL WEEK AND THEN IT'S THE WEEK WE'RE GOING TO DISNEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I cant believe ITS SO CLOSE! :yay: I'm probably going to have to go to walmart this weekend and get our last minute things we need!

:dance3: Wow I just cannot believe how close it is.....All this planning, saving money, making payments, watching flight fares change....and this trip is now only 15 days away. Wow. I am so excited! :cheer2:

YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!

You are so close to being on vacation! AHH JEALOUS! Though I can't complain since we're 50 days away, and that isn't too terrible!! Can't WAIT to hear about your trip, seriously!

:rotfl: It seriously feels like I was just the one telling everyone I was jealous of their trips being so close.....time FLIES! When it hit 50 it really flew....so glad for that too! :goodvibes I'm sure it will for you as well! :thumbsup2

I am so jealous and SOO HAPPY FOR YOU!!!!! :banana::banana::banana:

Make sure you have a list of things to pick up (it really does help). I recommend making a packing list, posting it here, and asking if anything has been forgotten. From my experience, it helps! I got down there in 2009 (I had overpacked) and some of the things I swore we'd never need, I was thankful we had. We only had to make one small purchase in 2009 and one small purchase in 2010 (because someone didn't check the calendar :rolleyes1).

I've seen people write their packing list and people have come back with lots of suggestions (because sometimes our brains just don't think of everything in one sitting).

Plus a packing list helps you get organized, and it will help you with your shopping, so you can make as few trips as possible. :goodvibes

I don't spend much time on etsy.... because there's just too many things I want there. :lmao:

Can't wait to see pics of your park bag!!!

WOOHOO!!!! :woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

Thank you! I like the first set better. That camera takes a very nice photo. And I'm very worried about night shots. To be honest I've been trying to practice as often as possible. :rotfl:

I am no expert at night shots, but from taking night time soccer game pictures I learned that if you go out of all the automatic and preset modes that your camera has and adjust the TV (set you camera on TV mode). This is the shutter speed. Fool around with how much light you need in your shots by adjusting this up and down. Start with about 125 and go in either direction from there. What's so wonderful about digital is you can drop the bad shots.

I found your TR a few weeks ago but I guess I never subscribed for some reason. :confused3 I meant to. Well I am subscribing now. You are so close to your trip. Can't wait to read about it.

WOOHOO!!!! :woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

Thats a good idea! I actually found a packing list (I THINK on mousesavers, but not 100% sure) I'll have to post it!

If you ever get the urge to go on etsy...just type in Disney. I'm kicking myself for waiting till the last minute to decide. I want some gingerbread Mickey Shirts! :rotfl:

AND I CANNOT wait to get my parkbag! :woohoo: :cheer2: It will be an exciting day! :rotfl:

Oh thanks for that tip! I'll have to check my camera's modes again. My aunt actually still uses a film camera..and thats it! :scared1: I love digital cameras...I couldnt survive with just film anymore.

Thanks for joining! :goodvibes I cannot wait to write my TR! :laughing: I'm glad I have something that will allow me to relive my trip! :thumbsup2
