Dear Santa, I'd like a Disney Trip for Christmas! - TR started!

Congrats on 34 (now 33 days). :cool1: I guess that means I am now 31 days away. Wow - this trip is coming up fast and furious. I am also looking forward to my HS park day (i'll probably only have one). I can't wait to ride Star Tours. I hope to love it!

34 DAYS!

So as I starting typing "34" a WDW commercial came on! :goodvibes Anyway, lets start out by talking about the show Roseanne. Anyone ever watch it? I have. And I love it. But the other day I was watching it (or was it last week? I cannot keep track of time anymore!) and where did they go on vacation?! WALT DISNEY WORLD! It was so funny. And I enjoyed it even more than usual...because...you know...they were at DISNEY WORLD!! :thumbsup2

Day THREE: HS!
There is no game plan for this day other than enjoy this park to the fullest. I feel like this is going to be an AWESOME park. We have a ADR at 50's and I couldnt be MORE excited! (Do I say that about everything I have planned?) :rotfl2:

Since this is my first trip I want to keep my schedule and days open since I've never been before...as an obsessive planner this is so difficult for me. But this is what I've determined needs to be done.

Right now my focuses are:
  • Mini-Planner!
  • Find a Park Bag
  • Purchase needed things

Well thats all. Another short and sweet plan. (which I'm really not happy about) DBF didnt come home this weekend. I hate these weekends. :sad2: Maybe a MP update this weekend if I dont pathetically sulk all weekend.

I have a Nora Roberts book to read also....boy do I love a good Nora Roberts book! :woohoo:

:woohoo: for 34 - 33 days!!!! :woohoo:

I absolutely LOVE  LOVE 50s PTC. I hope you don't mind me showing you why!

Mmm.... Mom's Old Fashioned Pot Roast (I licked the bowl clean)
Disney2011pictures058.jpg

DH enjoyed Cousin Barry's Olive Oil Poached Salmon (and ate every bite and said he wished there was more! :scared1:)
Disney2011pictures059.jpg

Dad's Brownie Sundae (yum yum yum!)
Disney2011pictures063.jpg

Sadly, we had an ordinary server, absolutely NO antics. So if you're looking to "play" ... ask for a playful server upon check-in. Not all servers are into the theme (unless it was just that one server -- which you don't want, she didn't play with any of her tables). I'll be asking for a playful server (any will do) upon check-in when we return in March. I can't wait for that pot roast and that Sundae! :cloud9:

Please let me know if you don't care for my threadjacking. ;)

Sorry that DBF didn't come home. :guilty: At least you have the 30ish days to play with this weekend! I hope your 33 days go quick! :goodvibes

Yay 34 days! I can't wait for it to be a month :) I need to figure out what we're doing this day, I have MGM or Animal Kingdom and can't remember which one I really wanted!

We had a similar discussion today on our walk; neither of us have spent very much time in this incarnation of MGM so we have no plans. Like, we both have detailed plans on what we want to do in Magic Kingdom since we've been there so much more, but MGM is only a vague fuzzy spot on a map. It should be fun to explore a new place though!

I love the purchase needed things bullet! My to do list has that as well, only it is followed by a very long list of "needed" (some are more wants than needs, truthfully) items.

I feel like I'm REALLY going to enjoy HS! :goodvibes I cannot wait for this park! But since I've never been its so hard to plan exactly what I want. I'm going to be relying on touring plans a lot I think. And I have a VERY long list of "needs" which are mostly just wants as well! :rotfl:

It's 37 days for my Christmas trip today! :goodvibes: We have an ADR for 50s Prime Time too. I've never been there! I'm sooo excited!

:woohoo: Time is FLYING! I am SO excited for 50's! I've heard nothing but awesome things about it!

Yay!!! 33 days now!!! WHOOT! I am so excited for you! :)

D~

:woohoo: Thank you! SO EXCITED! :cheer2:

Time is flying isnt it?! I am so excited! :woohoo: I need to check out all the things in HS again and find a fitting touring plan! :goodvibes

I do not mind the threadjacking at all! :rotfl: LOVE the photo's! OH MY does that Sundae look DIVINE! I really hope to get a playful server! I'll have to remember to ask. Maybe that server was just having a bad day? :confused3 I hope to have some fun while we're there!

So I forgot to mention that yesterday (11-11-11) was the release of HARRY POTTER! Both the last movie AND Lego Harry Potter which I am completely and TOTALLY obsessed with. My brother and I played the first Lego Harry Potter game and now we want the second! We played it for wii and will be getting it for the wii again.

I recommend this game if there is anyone out there who wants to play it. Because I love it. :cloud9: But then again I'm totally obsessed with Harry Potter. I want to marry Ron Weasley! :rotfl2:

Today my brother and I are watching ALL of the movies. We went to Walmart today and bought the last one. So I'll be dising and watching Harry Potter all day! :goodvibes

I hope everyone has an awesome Saturday! If anyone wants to talk about Harry Potter, feel free. I love it! :lmao:

33 DAYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
OHHH YEAH!
:woohoo:

Next Post!

Don't get me wrong, she was a great server ... but was ordinary. She was better than your average non-Disney table service restaurant ... and we enjoyed her friendliness and knowledge ... but she wasn't playful. She didn't introduce herself as a babysitter or cousin ... just by name ... so it wasn't like she was PMSing or something. :lmao::rotfl2:

I wanted the place, not for the food, but for the antics. So I'll be asking for a playful server upon check-in in March, and I recommend anyone else do the same if they want the antics. (And it could very well be a situation of being short-handed and they pulled whoever they could find to wait tables that night.)

Granted ... we didn't see any antics that night ... we did hear some loud-mouthed servers (someone got a clean plate award and someone didn't finish veggies) ... but we never saw other things that I was hoping to see. But our server never said anything about DD cleaning her plate, and I even pointed out that she ate all of her brother's veggies and the server was "Veggies are very good for you!" (She was nice, but not playful.) I was hoping DD would get a clean plate sticker ... but no. :guilty:

Next time though ... next time. :thumbsup2

(Oh, and the sundae was AMAZING! The popcorn threw me off a bit ... but it really worked! YUM!)

I've been so behind on HP since I lost my HP-loving friend (she moved). I have no one to talk HP about, no one to go watch the movies with, no one to share my obsession with .... I didn't know the last one released yesterday! Oddly ... I haven't seen previews or anything. Maybe I'm watching the wrong channels? :confused3

I've never played the lego games before, they don't really appeal to me ... I'm more about the computer games than PS3/Wii/Xbox or whatever else is out there.

I hope you have a great day of HP and DISing!!! :goodvibes (And I'm sorry, but Neville is my hero. :lmao: I was so excited to find a Neville t-shirt a couple of years ago.)

At 50's I much prefer the PB&J malt... Must try it once in your life - NUM!!!!!

HAHAHA oh. I thought you had a moody lady. :rotfl: I'm hoping to have some fun at 50's! I'll be disappointed if we dont!

And YOU DIDNT KNOW HARRY POTTER CAME OUT YESTERDAY! OH MAN! I bought it already! It was only 13.00 at walmart! :scared1: And all the others are 4 bucks a piece! YEAH! I love good deals! (And walmart!) And my day of movies and dising have been wonderful! :cloud9:

Ohh that sounds SO good! I'll have to make sure Pat and I each get something different! I love to try as many things as possible! :rotfl: :thumbsup2

We had shakes with our dinner in May ... I vow to never do that again. Waaaaaay too rich. :lmao: I'm not a fan of PB&J sammies ... so the shake doesn't sound that appealing to me. Don't get me wrong, I'd love to try it, but DH wouldn't order it. He insisted on vanilla. I mean, c'mon! It was something right up his alley (uncommon or unique) and he skipped it for plain ol' vanilla! Maybe he'll try it in March. :confused3 I'd love to take a sip, but I know I couldn't handle it ... Diet Coke please! :rotfl:

I'm a horrible HP fan, I know! But it will arrive on Netflix eventually, and I'll see it then. (Hey, I have to cut corners where I can if I want to go to WDW every year! :lmao:)

That is a good deal on the prices though! But right now, I'm saving up for WDW and a sewing machine ... so I'll wait. :sad2:

I can't wait to hear what you think about the PB&J shake! I've heard amazing things!!! But I'm not a PB fan ... so I wouldn't want to waste my drink credit on it. :rotfl2: (But would totally drink DH's, if he'll order it.)

I've decided to wait to get a sewing machine until after my trip! Then I will strive to be a sewing Goddess like D! Only in my dreams right?! :cloud9: Plus I needed to spend the money to see my love Ron Weasley today! :lovestruc :rotfl2:

I'm excited to try it! I personally love Peanut butter! And PD&J sandwiches! :thumbsup2

Literally as I'm writing this, we are watching Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets! We decided a long time ago that once we got the final movie on blu-ray, we would have an 8-movie marathon! We watched the first one last night, 2nd tonight, and we might do 3 and 4 tomorrow. We are huge HP fans and are really enjoying watching them again. They never get old or any less magical. :cloud9:

My brother and I watched 1-5 today and are currently (as I type this) watching 6! :rotfl2: :thumbsup2 We're saving 7 part 1 and 2 for tomorrow...we've watched ALOT of Harry Potter today! :cloud9: No life? Maybe I little. But it was a fun day.

This does not surprise me... I think you need to coax him out of his box for this trip... make him try one adventerous thing. :lovestruc

OK, seriously, I am going to call 50's while you are there and order a PB&J shake to be delivered to your table. popcorn::

ROFL - you guys are too funny. Stephanie, I am super excited to hear that you are going to try sewing after your trip - HOW AWESOME!!! :cool1: And even more excited that you find the PB&J shake appealing - whenever I tell anyone about it, they usually say all sorts of nasty comments... :confused3 I don't get it, it's no worse than putting chocolate and peanuts in icecream. :confused3

Hmmm.... 32 days??? Or did I miss one???

I noticed that one of the channels (I think it was a regular cable channel and a premium one -- so that would be two actually) were airing HP movies back to back. When I was flipping, I recalled seeing Chambers and Goblet on different channels. A marathon sounds like a blast! :woohoo:

(And seriously, why won't it post the abbreviation for Chamber of Secrets?)

Who says "no life"? Because that's an awesome life to watch HP (or Disney or whatever) movies all day! Sounds like my kind of day! :cloud9:

This does not surprise me... I think you need to coax him out of his box for this trip... make him try one adventerous thing. :lovestruc

Oh, he's adventurous when it comes to food. He looks at the menu, determines what is the most unique item on it, and orders it. I usually wrinkle my nose when he replies what he's ordering ... and then I try a bite and give him my review. :lmao:

I just have the: I don't want to be stuck with something I don't like: syndrom. I'll sample things off someone else's plate, but when it comes to my own, it has to be something I know I'll like.

I'm not a big PB fan. I'll have it here and there, but a PB&J shake just sounds too rich for me. I know it would be right up DD's alley, but she can't have milk. Maybe DH will order it this time (granted, he's a HUGE vanilla fan), and I can sample it. I'd love to try it ... just not as my beverage. :lmao:

YAY!!! :thumbsup2

For a second, I got confused and thought you were addressing me. :lmao: I have to remind myself there's more than one Stephanie in the world ... and we're both awesome and love WDW. :lmao::rotfl2:

I can't imagine someone not wanting to try it. :confused3 Like I've said, I don't like PB, and I do want to sample it, just not a whole shake to myself. I've heard nothing but amazingness, so yay for someone else to try it and rub it in my face! :woohoo: :lmao:

Happy 32 days!!!!!! :banana::banana::banana:

I must have misunderstood... OK then - how about this? How about he orders the PB&J shake and eats it while riding ToT? LOL

I just have the: I don't want to be stuck with something I don't like: syndrom. I'll sample things off someone else's plate, but when it comes to my own, it has to be something I know I'll like.

I don't blame you there... I am kind of the same way. When we were in Amsterdam, I totally went out of my box and tried a Dutch waffle instead of a Dutch pancake, and I discovered that I much prefer the waffles. So, I am a firm believer of hopping out of your box for a few moments to experience something potentially great, at least once on a vacation. :rotfl2:

Alrighty then... try this... Tell him that the base layer of the PB&J shake is Vanilla icecream. :thumbsup2 Maybe if you ask your waitress nicely, they will bring you a teeny-tiny sample to try??? I dunno if they do this, but a lot of restaurants do.

If you're paying... go for it! :rotfl:

I'm always "payin' for it" - doesn't matter what it is. :rotfl2:

For a second, I got confused and thought you were addressing me. :lmao: I have to remind myself there's more than one Stephanie in the world ... and we're both awesome and love WDW. :lmao::rotfl2:

For the record - I always call you "Liddy" for this very reason... I even have your # saved in my phone as Liddy. :lovestruc

He said, and I quote:
OH ____ NO!

I'm sure you can fill in the blank. :lmao: (Not so much about the shake, but about ToT.)

It's possible that he may order it this year ... there's no telling with him. :confused3

I know DD totally would ... if she was allowed to. Bless her little heart. :sad2: She wanted my Sundae last year, and ended up picking off the popcorn and eating it. :lmao:

This is why I like buffets. I don't have to commit to anything. :lmao: I'll usually go for something different if it has a main component that I like ... like if it has chicken or salmon or something as the base (just seasoned differently and maybe over something I've not heard of), then I know I'll eat that salmon/chicken/etc, even if I have to scrape the skin/glaze/etc off of it. I also know a few things I don't like ... like Tilapia (don't care for it at all). So many dishes sound good, but if it doesn't have something in it that I can eat and fill up on, then I usually won't try it. Every once in awhile, something unique will grab my attention and I'll totally order it ... but it is rare. I don't like being outside of my comfort zone often ... but sometimes, I will -- if it sounds appealing, or if I can see it visually (which is why I love menus with pictures). :thumbsup2

Oh, he knows its vanilla with PB&J added to it. :thumbsup2 I think he's like me and doesn't like PB&J. If DS was allowed a shake for his meal, I'm sure he'd be fine with it. :lmao: We'll just have to wait and see what this trip brings. :goodvibes

I know, I know, but it threw me off for a minute. :lmao: I know Stephanie is a very common name. I graduated high school with 13 other Stephanie's. Currently, I have a Stephanie in one of my college classes, so it's nice to see young people named such a fabulous name! :thumbsup2

Perhaps when Steph comes back, she'll post pictures, I'll show DH and he'll order it in March. :rotfl2:

I wonder how long it will take before she realizes she's been threadjacked? :confused3

Well now that I've tried to catch up on the conversation you two have been having while I've been away I can finally reply! :rotfl:

First I'd like to say I've watched all 8 of the HP movies as of 2:00 this afternoon! :rotfl: Went to bed at 3 in the morning after watching 1-6 and then watched year 7 part one and two this morning. AWESOME movie series. Absolutely brilliant. :goodvibes

I will definitely be trying a PB&J shake! It sounds so good! :cloud9: And I LOVE peanut butter! :thumbsup2

Stephanie is an awesome name isnt it?! But its not so common around here! I dont know very many Stephanie's at all! But still...Stephanie is a gorgeous name! ;)

And I am excited to try out sewing! I think it will be fun! (First I need a sewing machine!) But I like crocheting, knitting, and I dont know why but I LOVE counting cross stitch! I'm doing a beach/Christmas scene CCS right now and it is lovely! :goodvibes

I think I've covered everything....I hope! :rotfl:

I can't imagine someone not wanting to try it. :confused3 Like I've said, I don't like PB, and I do want to sample it, just not a whole shake to myself. I've heard nothing but amazingness, so yay for someone else to try it and rub it in my face! :woohoo: :lmao:

Happy 32 days!!!!!! :banana::banana::banana:

:rotfl:

I am super glad that you're going to try the PB&J shake... Could you please take pictures for Liddy's DH??? :lovestruc

And I am even more super glad that you are going to try sewing... I have a really awesome Mr. Rocket that I would love to donate to you - but unforatunately - I'd like to see you succeed - and therefore I won't donate Mr. Rocket to you, as he is definately not the key to success.
