:sad1:
This is terrible. *pout* and I am sorry to hear that you feel this way-even though I can understand why. I'll keep up with you on the family board.

Amanda please don't go. You are a wonderful part of our community and have helped so many of us brides. You will be missed greatly around here. :sad1:

This is all so dumb. It does seem like we're saying "Alright, bye now" to the old brides. But, I'll definitely keep up with you on your pregnancy journal!

I'll miss you!

Listen, we don't (nor ever could) live in a bubble or a vacuum. Things that occur in our daily lives that affect our moods are surely going to be mentioned, even in passing in some aspect of posting and there is no thread, board or otherwise completely devoid of human emotion. If I start a post, "I'm in a bad mood, and my mother in law is getting on my nerves..." I'm pretty sure A) this constitutes wedding banter and B) also is completely off topic. :confused3 Regardless of the situation, we all have posted something that has little or nothing to do with wedding planning past, present, or future. I.E., "I like your haircut."

Posts will never be devoid of this, regardless of how many people are infracted, reprimanded, or banned. Granted, a lot of us have gotten to know each other personally, but I suppose the mods are right, this isn't supposed to be a place for socializing, but more for finding more information about a particular topic.

I think I have found a solution:

For anyone feeling alienated our singled out, here is a place where we can go and just talk about whatever the heck we want:

Disbrides (past, present, and future)

Enough.

This forum's topic and purpose is to plan and discuss DISNEY WEDDINGS AND HONEYMOONS. It exists to help those interested in planning one of these events gather and share information.

This is a topic-specific forum, and our moderators keep it on track so that it has value to those who come here to seek information on that stated topic.

Those who have already experienced their Disney wedding or honeymoon are very welcome here to share information about those events to help those who are in the planning stages.

What this forum is NOT: an ongoing community chat forum for cliques of those who met here to continue to discuss the minutiae of everyday life years after the wedding. We have other forums here for those general chit-chat threads. Your morning sickness or the color of the carpet in your new home or what you had for dinner every night for the past week may be interesting to you and your friends, but does not help the future Disney bride who comes to this forum looking for information helpful in planning HER big event.

And one thing that we will not tolerate is rudeness or non-cooperation toward our moderators.

Anyone with questions about our policies should address them to the webmasters at admin@wdwinfo.com.

This thread is CLOSED.
