lol jeeze, this thread is hostile.... im personally neutral on the subject... more of a dont ask dont tell kinda thing... but i dont see why people have to somehow make someone else's sex life their business... what right do you have on judging someone in their expression of love?... if you dont agree with it, then just dont agree with it lol.. no need to go all mighty and religious on them... you think theyre gonna go to hell? then its their choice... just move on...Now Ill admit that sometimes i feel awkward around gay people, but i personally dont have any problems with them.... as people, they can be just as cool to talk to as anyone else.. sooo why discriminate?

I think 'David' went WAY over the top in his choice of words to address that issue.

I'm kind of in between choice and born with it. I don't think either is 100% true. There are alot of evironment factors that can pre-dispose you to be a homosexual, but also if you truly feel that way and its been engrained into your mind, you could say that it wasn't a choice.

God doesn't make you gay/lesbian.

Okay, Jesus does not say himself that gay people will be eternally damned. The bible is a translation of a translation of a translation of a translation of a translation of people's thoughts on what someone said Jesus said and how they interpretted it, so that's total and complete BS.

And it has been scientifically proven that homosexuality is NOT a choice, so do your research and get off your f****** high horse.

okay soo i went and looked it up in first con. it does list homsexuals as those that will not inhareit the kingdom of God but it also says God loves all his childern unconditonally and God doesnt makes mistakes so if he made u gay then he wanted u to be thats what i think at least

It's all in your head. You think that you are born to like the same sex, but by saying that you are subconsciously choosing what sex you like. Like any person can give in to temptation, one can also give in to liking the same sex. God doesn't make mistakes, so it's your choice, and nothing in the world can change my opinion, just like nothing can change yours, because you gave in to temptation.

Just like Freud went outta style a while back, basically all of his theories have been disregarded by the psychological community.
His theories just don't work, with new scientific discoveries, therefore everything you said has been proven wrong.

Yeah, it looked like just one of the "Jesus hates gay people" arguements.

I think it's really sad to see that.
I mean, to grow up being taught hate and just plain wrong facts only breeds ignorance.

And a couple of pages before the same person said that couldn't be true because babies aren't gay.
I dunno about you, but I've never met a sexually mature baby in my life, gay or straight.
But crushes do start to become evident as early as preschool age.
Even though these children aren't mature at a logical thinking level yet, they're still (at least on some level) attracted to their peers.
It's predetermined in their biological makeup if those their attracted to will be of the same or opposite sex, not what they're conciously thinking or choosing.
Babies just have nothing to do with the homosexuality debate.

Bottom line, you're born gay,straight, or bisexual.
It's not a matter of choice, unless you choose to ignore your natural sexual instincts and go against your sexual orientation, which never ends well.

I tolerate your view. By tolerate, I mean I can understand why you think that way, because that's what you've been raised to think.

I just don't understand how you can ignore scientific evidence that disproves what you're saying.

Oh ok...just needed clarification. I think this is one of those things where it almost goes beyond the scientific level...like you could prove it, but some (or alot, depending on where you are) will challenge that. It isn't black and white.

Does that make sense? Its kinda hard to describe in words.
