We received two packages today.

The first is a really great over-the-shoulder bag. She loved the Minnie Mouse card it came with almost as much as the bag . It was from Ellen (ellenbenny)

The second was for all the kids. Autograph books with the kids favorite characters on them from Kevin, Allison & Malachi (tebi73)

Thanks so much for all our gifts! I know it takes a lot of time, effort and expense. Please know that each of the kids you do a Big Give for is receiving extra magic that makes the child, siblings, mom and dad forget, for a moment, the illness that is sometimes so hard to bear.

Here are the picture from yesterdays packages (opened this AM).

The first package is from VBAndrea. DeAnna opening the package, very excited


In the box was the delightful Tinkerbell dress. She is wearing it now!! She wants to wear to church tomorrow. I think it will look great with a white long sleeve t-shirt under it (too cold to wear without). It was so considerate Andrea to think of the ease of putting it on!!!!

I'm so glad DeAnna likes the dress I'm honored that she wanted to wear it to church! I think she looks beautiful in it. My dd wears all of hers with either short or long sleeved t's under them and ones I made her two years ago still fit as they are long and generous in the cut. Hopefully DeAnna's will last her a bit as well.

I think DeAnna will be able to wear hers for a while also. It fits great but it is so loose and long she should get plenty of wear out of it. It is great colors and material because she can wear in winter or summer! Thanks again!

So today was DeAnna's 9th Birthday and she received two Big Gives today to make it extra special.

The first item received was this darling outfit that was made by Ann (disname-fruto76) for an auction for a fundraiser for someone else. I had been wanting a special Christmas outfit for DeAnna so I found this outfit on the disboutiqes thread stating it was available in an auction. I inquired how to go about bidding on this outfit. I was told that I was too late, it was sold. Then low-and-behold DeAnna gets this same outfit that was bought by Liz (disname-Liaxton) from the auction. God is so good!!! She is going to wear it when she sings solo at a community Christmas program (in front of 3000 people)

The second package was for both girls from Shannon (disname-unknown). It was these amazing zebra print outfits. My girls love Zebra prints!! A skirt for DeAnna, Capri's for Adrianna. It is almost like Shannon knew exactly the personality of my girls!!

As many of you know, DeAnna had major surgery to remove a 3" tumor in her sinus, nasal cavity and her nose. Her nose was reconstructed a with a rib. What you may not know is DeAnna is a very good singer. Well about 2 weeks prior to surgery she was selected to sing solo at the YUM center in Louisville in front of 13,000 people.

I decided on this day, her birthday, to share this picture of her singing. So proud and thankful that I was selected to be her mom.
