Hi I just found your pretrip report. I am so happy to read that DeAnna got her wish to go to Disney World. What a beautiful time of year to go to Disney! I am so sorry she has had to go through so much. Hearing how accepting she is of her new nose put a smile on my face. I bet her brothers and sister are so excited to go to Disney too! We are also going to be at GKTW over Christmas. We adopted our little boy from China Sept 2010. He has a variety of sn's. I have no idea how we are going to celebrate Christmas there.

I posted this on the MAW thread but thought someone might have some suggestions from here.

We will be in Disney at GKTW from Dec 20-26. Then moving to a house from the 26th to 2nd. The parks are listed below. We have excluded Epcot as we went there a few years ago and it did not hold the kids interest.
WDW (1 and 1/2 days)
AK
HS
Sea World
US and/or IOA Since DeAnna's surgery, she is pretending she is Cindy Lou Who with her new nose so considering Dr. Suess land in IOA.

Which parks do we need to make sure to visit while we have our pass and which ones would be okay to wait until the 2nd week.

We have one reservation to have breakfast with Lilo and Stitch on the 21st. I have read that WDW is really busy after Christmas so thinking we should do that the 1st week. Money is going to be kinda tight with her recent surgery and travel for treatment expenses so we will be doing this trip economically. Bargin ideas are appreciated!!!!

Can anyone PM we a good guess at how much the expenditures check might be? We from the Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana chapter.

The last time you all went to EPCOT, was living seas with Nemo there? What about soarin? Also, they have the Santa's around the world in World showcase.

I have heard that it is best to go to Disney while you have the GKTW pass...I would imagine this is even more so since you will be at one of the busiest times.

Do the Disney Parks during your stay at GKTW because of your pass. It will help speed things up and get you to the front of the line for character meets and getting on the rides faster. Enjoy some time exploring GKTW.

While you are at GKTW, you can pick up tickets to other parks or recreation at Guest Services. I know some park tickets are limited to 4 per family. So if you do decide to do that, then you'll only need to buy 2 child tickets which are a little cheaper. If that's something of interest to you, you could always call GKTW to get more details like how many tickets you can get and the age qualification, etc. I'm sure these are things they tell you about during your orientation.

Here's a link to the GKTW Village Guide if you haven't seen it already. Maybe it will help you decide what days you want to do what. Remember to keep Thursday evening free for Winter Wonderland and a visit with Santa and the children can pick out a gift. Also there's been a change in the weekly entertainment schedule. Every Monday night, GKTW will be hosting a Halloween Party. You can wear costumes if you want to. There will be trick or treating and other activities.

I would save Sea World and US/IOA for after you leave GKTW. You can also visit GKTW again during your second week.

DeAnna's going to love seeing the gingerbread creations because I did a search and who do you think is featured this year at Disney’s BoardWalk Resort?

Wow! It almost feels like they knew there was a little girl who needed a little extra something during this holiday season. Because she LOVES to cook and decorate cakes and cookies. Thanks so much! We will make a point to visit this exhibit.

The Garrity's have been selected for a Big Give! We received the first package tonight. Adrianna is at my mom's helping to prepare for Thanksgiving so she missed the excitement. I have put her items away and will post pictures later of her.

yes they loved the gifts. DeAnna's new nose still looks a bit rough but she doesn't seem to care or notice. They are all wearing their new PJ's tonight, put them on as soon as they received them.

So glad that the package arrived safely and that the children enjoyed opening their first Big Give gifts! You mentioned that Levi likes to wear costumes and that's why I picked out the Buzz Lightyear PJs for him. I'm glad to see that I ordered the right sizes for the children. Now they will be excited to see if something came in the mail for them! It will be something for them to look forward to until DeAnna's wish trip starts!

I don't think I put in the "Give" info but Buzz Lightyear is Levi's favorite character. He is walking around saying "to infinity and beyond". LOL!

Cute pictures! Tell Miss DeAnna that her new nose looks fabulous! There is one picture that makes her look so much taller then Caleb...I thought wow! she had a serious growth spurt...until I saw the next picture and realized that the prior one was either just an odd angle or she was standing on something!
