prom dress shopping with the mom = success

I took DD prom dress shopping last night, kind of "on the fly" as I realized how busy March and April are going to be. So - we went to a store about an hour away last night. With the exception of 2 friends that came in together and each tried on 1 dress...DD and I were the only ones in the prom section of the bridal store, and we had the whole, and undivided attention of the sales person. DD tried on about 12 dresses (give or take), and LOVED one that I later found out was a 2010 dress. She LOVED it. And...she sent her boyfriend a pic, and he said it was AMAZING. Since it was a 2010, she got it for about 25% off last year's price.

DD is over the moon. I'm thrilled with the price...and as they say in the commercial - time with your daughter is priceless. We had so much fun...She even liked the dresses I picked out.

Ultimately, she ended up with a "muted" lime green dress that also had pink tulle in it. A little bit of bling in the bodice. And - the dress is:

And a hugefor doing this on a Monday night...to the sales person - we WERE the most important people in the store last night. WooHoo!

I barely can remember 4...that is still when you are the center of their world!
