We do the DDP (basic one).
I ENJOY cooking - even on vacation (it's a sickness, I know)....
But with three children, two of whom are boys that are sprouting so fast, one on the verge of teen-dom....well, we DO eat that much, or at least the boys eat that much and we sit back, shake our heads

and ponder the days when we could barely get them to sit still for a meal.
Couple the appetites with the fact that we were gone at parks all but two of our days....well, it made more sense in terms of timing. Otherwise I would be taking food into the parks, or we'd have to come and go more. Both possibilities, just not for us.
This February we're there just over 10 days & I do believe we'll still do the plan. Haven't committed to it yet, but as we figure out our (sort of) schedules for the days it still seems a whole lot easier.
If we don't use all the counter service, we "stock up" somewhere we like (like Earl of Sandwich in DTD) and then end up with a day at the trailer.
I can see that camping in the future, when perhaps going to the parks is not the primary goal

scared1: ) we will move from dining plan to a variety of eating out and cooking more.
