We've been discussing the DDP for our fall trip. One concern we have is children's meals. We have two pre-schoolers who invariably manage to fall asleep just as our ADR times come around. Waking them up just leads to cranky pre-schooler having to sit through an hour or two at a restaurant making everyone around them as miserable as they are.
Without the dining plan we let them sleep (watched by their grandparents who don't dine with us). We place an order for them to go, and it's brought to our table with the check. We've never had so much as a funny look it.
If we get the dining plan are we likely to get grief about trying to do this? We aren't trying to use children's credits for adult meals - but the DDP isn't a good fit for us if most of our children's evening meals will be paid OOP.
