We got back from WDW on Tuesday. DH, DS 12, DS 10, and I were able to take advantage of the free dining, and we really enjoyed the experience. We were only there for 4 nights, however. For us, such a plan would not have been very cost effective, if we had to pay. We threw away a good bit of food, and found that we were never really hungry even though it was "time" to eat. Yes, we would do it again if it were free, but my DDE card serves us better.

Now for the tidbits:
We were allowed to get the $6.50 Lobster Rolls in America at the F&W Festival as a snack credit. I was surprised.

DH got the large boxes of doughnuts and cinnamon rolls in the AS Music gift shop as a light breakfast in the room with snack credits.

Boma offered us smoothies and a press pot of coffee on the dining plan.
Kona also offered smoothies.

We honestly thought that we were supposed to be given a side item with entrees that didn't include them. I thought it was like the old CS meal vouchers. We were allowed sides at the Land once with a sandwich entree and at Flametree when we ordered the fruit plate. We were not allowed sides at Pizzafari or the Land on our second visit. We didn't argue, thank goodness, because we always had too much food anyway. When I got home and actually read through the brochure, I saw that we never should have been given sides.

We were never treated any differently while on the DDP than we usually are. The servers were actually better than those we experienced in May, as a whole. It was fun, but definitely a once in a while overindulgence for us. :)
