I am a bit confused. :confused3 I am thinking of using the DDP for our Jan. trip. I had "thought" that everyone at the TS meal must use the plan. But now I have read about "splitting meals" and paying OOP for certain items. Could someone please explain this to me?

Here's my situation: My DH and kids are NOT big eaters. We would like to dine at Le Cellier one evening at then at Sci-Fi the next day (our check-out day) for lunch. Can my DH and I share the TS credit at dinner, maybe pay OOP for an additional appetizer, can 2 of my kids share a TS credit, pay OOP for additional beverage, then can I use this extra TS adult and child credit at Sci-Fi the next day and pay OOP for the other meals there?

Thanks a bunch!

Short answer: yes you can :thumbsup2 As long as you explain exactly what you are doing to your server so they don't charge you incorrectly on your credits, then you will be fine, it is allowed.

OK not to contradict but I thought I read on the Disney website that you can not split TS meals. Don't know if this is true or not? Anyone know?

Please don't :furious: me. You can share TS between adults or children but you are not supposed to use a child's TS for adults. However :scared: they don't have a system to track that yet. Don't :furious: me I don't do that (now) I'm just saying their not tracking it.

Ah that makes sense! I just thought that there was a way they stopped you but if there isn't then thats good - for now at least

Well it clearly states in the new DDP brochure that Adults can't share children's TS but they do not have a system yet probably by 2007 they will.

We have 2 adults and 2 children: I plan on sharing at one or maybe 2 meals. The other 3 we are at All you can eat places, so no sharing there.

My hubby and I sharing an adult credit and my 2 children sharing a childs credit if we do share.

We just returned from AKL and were on the DDP. The first night ate at Jiko (2ts credits), we payed for our kids OOP, and used the DDP for my DW and I. The waiter had no problem, he just added their orders to or wine order. We needed to extra credits for a breakfast at chef mickeys later in our stay. And yes, disney has no way of checking the credits. On our last evening, our other couple who was traveling with us was short a credit. The waiter looked at credits remaining and saw enough credits for their meal, we thought about it and they had 1 child credit left, but the waiter only saw credits and not the difference between adult and child. In short, they had enough credits due to the system not seperating credits. I heard this will be fixed in 2007.

This is one of those questions that only WDW can answer. You may (or may not) be able to do what you propose when you get to WDW.
