DDP double billed -

Just checked my credit card charges online and discovered that I have been billed twice for the 2 nights of dining plan that I had in the middle of my stay. I was billed when I called MS and put it on the reservation and then again when it was activated on my keycard the second day we were there. I will call tomorrow and get it straightened out. I had a room charge printout run on the 30th because I just had a feeling that since they were changing the computer system over that night things could go wrong. Sure enough they had the plan on the final bill twice, had it removed once and showed a payment to VISA. I stopped at the desk on the way out and asked if the payment shown was the one I had paid before I got there. I was told the charge was not made to the credit card until I checked out so since it only showed one payment I said okay. Well today when I checked my VISA account on line there is the charge on the 26th and then again on the 30th. I think the problem was that they had to unlink the reservation to get the key to print out correctly. If you are planning on putting the DDP in the middle of a reservation be sure to check how the reservation is done. I was happy that we did not have to change rooms and hopefully it will all get worked out easily with a phone call.

THanks for posting. I had read another story similar recently too. I paid for the DDP for my daughter's one night stay in November and had to pay in advance. I printed my cc statment prior to that trip as proof of payment. Since she did not have charging priviledges on her room, I was hoping this would not happen to her. It didn't and I only paid the original amount. I will be back next month and just paid for my ddp yesterday, so will be watching to make sure I don't get double charged. Which resort were you at that this happened? My daughter was at the BCV when it worked just fine. In January we are at OKW. THe other poster I read that got doubled charged was at the AKV.
