ddp and splitting ameal

husband and i have not used the plan but are considering it...last trip we got vacation kingdom lunch certs (which is the same amount of food as the ts credit on the plan) and split the meal...could we still do this on the ddp and then use the other ts for dinner ( split again). i know we couldn't do it for buffets but has there been any problem with splitting meals on the plan?

Hi, When we(5 Adults) used the DDP this past July we shared 4 appetizers and 4 desserts and paid OOP for 1 entree. We did this at a couple of 1 credit TS restaurants and then uesd the the extra credits at a 2 credit TS restaurant. I am not sure if you just want to order 1 appetizer,1 entree and 1 dessert and split it all between 2 people?? Joan

We are visiting for the first time in December. It will be 3 adults and 1 child. DD usually shares off of one of our plates. Can we order 3 dinners using 3 ts credits and pay for a drink for her? We are staying for 6 nights so we just have 24 credits to use as we please correct?

yes we don't eat that much at one time so i would rather eat 2 ts meal a day, splitting one at each meal...we did that with the lunch vouchers and had plenty of food ,sometimes that was one of only 2 meals for the whole day( we might get CS for the other meal). no way i could eat a whole appe. dessert and entree myself and don't really want to mess around taking stuff back to the room or whatever.

We split every meal when we went in Sept. It was never a problem. When we had extra drinks, sometimes the waiter bothered with a seperate check and sometimes said to not worry about it.

We just got back and split meals everywhere we went...with no problems whatsoever. No one seemed to have issue with it!

thanks i was hoping that would be the case still just wasn't sure how the ddp would have affected outlooks

We too split several meals while there in Sept. This was our third time using DDP and we've done it everytime. What was great was this allowed us to eat at a couple of Signature (2 TS) restaurants. We ate at CG and Narcoossee's. Both were great, Narcoossee's was excellent! Also, sometimes, I paid OOP for my DD7, as she doesn't eat appies and only wants vanilla ice cream for dessert.
