We have used the DDP one year as that is all it was offered to DVC during the time we have been to WDW. This year it looks like we will not be using it because of the changes but I don't know how the DDE works. Could someone explain it to me and how you go about getting it. Thanks so much for whoever helps.

DDE is not a DVC perk. In order to get DDE you must be an AP or Fl Resident. To get it, you go to the AP, FL Res site at Disney.com It's $65 yr(or was when I got it in June) and gives you 20% off meals including alcoholic beverages at almost every TS restaurant on Disney property and some CS. It's good for the card holder and up to 10 guests dining with.
