DDE plus dining plan?

We are going in January and will be purchasing the DDP. My DS and DDIL, who are FL residents are vacationing with us. We will all be on the same package, and will be dining together for the majority of the trip. Please forgive me if this has been asked before, but if my DS purchases the DDE, can he use it to pay for any OOP items we order, as well as the OOP meals that we have planned?

Yes, so long as your party size is 10 or less. If you plan to do a meal with DDP for some items and DDE for others, just be sure to tell the server right away. It's probably easier for them to key all the DDP items in the system on one ticket and all DDE items under another rather than trying to correct it at the end of the meal.

That is what I thought, but I wanted to be sure. I tried to call DDE but their office is M-F. Thank you for your help.

We use both the DDP and DDE for every trip. We just ordered our new DDE card as the old one expired last month. It only took 2 weeks to arrive. I was shocked that we got it so quickly.

When on the DDP use the DDE for whatever is not covered by the DDP.

The DDE is only good for selected restaurants, mostly TS and the PopC food court.
