Oh and something Irish.

It's not the colonoscopy....it's the prep that sucks.

Everyone says that and I was prepared for the the worst 24 hours of my life but I think many people exaggerate. Would I want to do it on a regular basis, nope. But not as bad as people make you think.

Everything I know about the colonoscopy process I learned from Dave Barry.

Hmmm... which begs the question.
If given a choice... would you rather earn $5000 once a year or $3000 three times a year???

Exactly! Short term thinking at its finest.

Isn't that horrible? The whole point of the Values was to make staying on site obtainable for everyone. Now it's only obtainable for the rich. The mods are for the filthy rich and the deluxes are for the disgustingly rich.

We probably need to change the category names to: You Can't Afford It, Don't Even Think About It, and HAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

If you renege on the lease, they send you to the Russian front.

Precisely my thoughts on it as well.
Good with dropping the switch, but folks are picking the wrong standard.
I completely agree. I am fine with ending daylight saving time, I just think it should remain on standard time year round. Having that "extra hour" of daylight in the evening is moot when most people are indoors watching tv anyway.

So I've heard. My wife has already said I am banished to a hotel room by myself for the duration of the prep. I'll be sure to leave a nice tip for the housekeeper.

Funny, yet unfortunately, not.

Problem is...they can get enough people to come once a year and pay even more for genie+, they could give a rat's ___ if nobody can afford to come multiple times anymore. Raise the prices on the AP, but make it that much more difficult for anyone to make use of multiple trips.

That's why aside from DDCC, I will not be giving the ravenous (way past greedy now), cheeseparing mouse my money.

I'm not sure what you experienced, but trying to drink gallons of chalk water and then going to the bathroom every 10 minutes was plenty horrible for me.

I'd just find a port o potty. Not like you'll be getting any sleep and no crazy room fee or tip needed. :lmao:

Yeah... that thought occurred to me after I posted.
Why charge $3,000 in the hopes that someone will return 2-3 times when you can charge $5,000 and still have as many guests.
I think the vast majority of Disney guests don't go more than once a year.

It sounds to me what you are saying is we need to have a permanent set time year around and this bill is doing that.
Yeah, but they're still picking the wrong time to stick to.
My opinion; you mileage may very.

(but the kids waiting for busses in the dark every day between November and March while dodging cars driven by folks that ain't quit awake yet and don't even have daylight to aid in their recognition of exactly where the side of the road is... those young'ens will agree with me.)

Yup, that's pretty much exactly how I explain it to folks.
And lucky me, I have to go through it every 5-years or less.
Fuuuuunnnn...

Yep! That just about covers it except I didn't have the packets. I had the pre-mixed stuff and I swear it was well over a gallon...considering it was larger than a gallon jug. My instructions were drink 12 oz every 15 minutes. So, part of my fun was when my timer would go off while spurting like the shuttle. Too f'ing bad!!!! It's gonna be past the 15 min point!!!!

Not sure if this is what I had, but pretty accurate description....except for side effects it does not list violent, explosive expulsion.

Uses of Coloprep Products
Sodium Sulphate+Potassium Sulphate+Magnesium Sulphate is used in the treatment of Constipation.
uses

Coloprep Products side effects
Common
Side Effects of Coloprep are Abdominal distension, Bloating, Nausea, Abdominal cramp, Vomiting.
How Coloprep Products work
Sodium Sulphate + Potassium Sulphate + Magnesium Sulphate contains three salts : Sodium Sulphate, Potassium Sulphate, and Magnesium Sulphate. They act as laxatives to prepare the gastrointestinal tract for colonoscopy, an investigation used to detect changes or abnormalities in the large intestine (colon) and rectum. When taken with large volumes of water, these unabsorbed salts cause water to be retained within the gastrointestinal tract. This produces a copious watery diarrhea and clears the tract to carry out the colonoscopy easily.

Morning All.

Busy Saturday on tap. First qualifying session for the new F1 season, recording another weekly travel news session with Terry and probably a drink or two.

Have a good one all.

Thanks for the reminder. Season opener F1 and 2nd race for Indycar. I'll be at work (natch), but hope to catch them either later that evening or the next morning.

I had a busy day. Will try to post some pictures.
It was the Mosel wine tour.
Left the base st 0730.
Got to first stop (wine tasting) around 0930 I think. May have been closer to 1000.
Tried 8 or 9 different wines. I think it was 9, but forgot to take a picture on one.
After that, we were able to buy some of the ones we liked.
Next stop was lunch about 45 min away.
Shnitzel and fries. Would have like potato salad or spatzle better, but oh well.
Last stop was a set of sister towns with one on wach side of the river. There were some castle remains/ruins on top of the hill. Fantistic views were promised and while true, the steps and steep inclines needed to get there was said to be 20 min - blatent lie.
I got some great pictures, but my knees and my calves are not at all happy.
It was a great day......

Except the bus ride back.
One of the guys (that's spelled I D I O T) had had too much beer and wine and was a loud obnoxious person (see spelling of guys above).
Why do you never have duct tape when you need it?
