DIS Dads DDC XXXIV: The Original Home Of The DISDads!!!

Dads of the DIS talk about life, bacon, Disney, bacon, kids, bacon, cars, bacon, family life, and lots of other fun stuff! And beer. And bacon.
In other news, I'm starting to enjoy hockey. And in true English fan style, I can't just enjoy the game, I need a team to ruin my day. I Am suspending my rule of having to support the first team I saw, as I'm not lovin the Canucks uniform. Shallow, I know, but there it is. And I was so drunk at the game I haven't got the foggiest who they were playing.

Welcome! The only correct answer is the Philadelphia Flyers. Don't listen to Darcy, he has terrible taste in sports teams.

"I need a team to ruin my day"--Yep, just double-checking this meets your criteria.

:lmao: I've triple checked and the Toronto Maple Leaf's have been ruining fans days since 1967.

Could you pick a team any further from you? LOL.

6-2 Habs, what might happen tonight?

It won't be the Canucks. I'm kinda feeling the Jets or the Canadiens. Have history, frickin useless. Bit like West ham. And the bears. And the cubs. The knicks are just useless.

True, but aside from that monstrosity that wanders round the stands that haunts everyone's dreams (no, not Seth Green) you make a great point. But I'm kinda feeling my commonwealth roots with hockey.

Gritty is a treasure.

I had no idea. The Habs it is. Hopefully I can get to see them in December. Fancy it?

I told you not to listen to Darcy!

Actually, all things considered, the Habs are looking pretty scary this year.

So the Leafs losing streak will continue, to become 54years without a cup. You were our only hope Dan.
I don't think you're missing much Rob, in my 40 odd years on this planet I've seen my teams win exactly 4 competitions. 4. Out of about 180 cumulative years of play. West Ham 12, Bears 85, Cubs 16, West Ham 80.

Day 2 in the books. Today included the COVID floor, and the amount of precautions are just a bit more than a cloth mask. I arrive home smelling like cleaner/ disinfectant each day, so I guess that's a good thing.

Actually no...we've been down in the 40s and possibly 30s tonight. Don't like it especially on the bike.

We've talked about the option of going further south in Florida, maybe even the Keys. But, I doubt we could afford something there. I'd like to pick up something in the panhandle area we could enjoy for the next 10 years, and then move further south after that. China's economy is expected now to surpass ours in 8 years. Who knows what the future holds.

Morning, Gents! Well, as expected, the nor'easter for me was a non issue. Yes it did snow, and looked pretty in the process, but it didn't stick at all. We got rain for most of the day and winds at night, so that was about it. Works going well and, well....that's it. Have a good day.

Assuming you didn't want the snow, then it sounds like a good day. It was just cold here.

That's right, first day. Sounds like it went smoothly. Are you happy?

Just computer training and tours, so not really working. But, it is the work I did when I first started working 25 years ago, just in a hospital and for more money. All the scenarios sound familiar. Let's hope this is analogous to riding a bike.

You mean like here where it is pouring down rain on one side of the interstate and sunny on the other?

I've seen the line of rain stampede across the ramp at the airport. That was some impending doom as there was no way to escape the downpour.

A cheeky bacon butty (good job on the anglification) and a cup of tea makes all things good.

What type of tea is your favorite? Type? Brand? I found I really like Earl Grey the best thus far.

I'm sure it has something to do with the temp of the water relative to the temp on land. Bodies of water usually retain heat better, so I'm sure that affects the way the air above moves.

I didn't think about the meteorology. I just figured it was because the river was lower than the ground it cuts thru.

Hopefully I can fo for the Habs what Norm did for West Ham. Still the top team in London.

My work is never done.
