NiceHis socks were blown off by his gift,
I'm doing good.Cheers Rob, hope you are doing OK up there fella
One of my favorites.Supposed to start on the Yule Log (or as we call it Buche de Noel...
I am! But whether or not it happens this decade...
Evening from a snowy Westfield NB, This is the first winter in 44 years that I won't be plowing snow, I'll be glad to hear my replacement plowing my driveway at 4am instead of me.
Nice pics CCT.
It's a might chilly out there.
How 'bout some more pointless images, but of someplace that a mite warmer...

No, I I'm looking forward to taking it easy, but if I do miss it I can work part-time.
A terrific end to the Mandalorian, Season 2. Don't Google search anything related, as spoilers were abundant.
Great pictures. Snow is still snow though, and way too cold.
And, I still have it, but I already know it's not for me. I struggled to finish my time up for retirement. I want to work, but I don't want the next career for 5 or 10 years to be miserable.
Morning y'all from a decidedly soggy terra mater.
Not much on the Agenda today. The boy clicks over to double figures tomorrow, so I see some hefty PS5 time in my immediate future. Its all set up in the AV cupboard and updating, as I thought it m might be particularly harsh if he opened it and then had to wait 16 hours while it all updated from the factory set.
He gets to pick all the meals this weekend, so we started with Veal and Spaghetti last night, Cinammon buns this morning and we finish up with low n slow Beef and Pork ribs on Sunday night, taking a little detour through full English breakfast town in the morning. Thankful right now that we have socialised medicine, as I feel I may need a daily visit to to the Cardio ward. And the fat sucking department.
Crazy times at work, its always the same before the mother ship goes off, but it should go to nothing next week in terms of meetings.
@Terra Nova guy you out there bro?
Hey! I've been there! We stayed in Sandwich many moons ago. It does make me smile that almost every town there as an equivalent over here. I've got a photo of me in front of the town sign in Eastham, as that's where I was born in London (well, East Ham). Your version of Eastham is WAY purtier than mine.
Morning from a snow covered Westfield NB. Heading into town to get DW a new phone, then take DD to her swimming lessons. Then the remainder of the day just relaxing. Enjoy the weekend.
Afternoon all. 0530 start for us today as the boy woke up super early, unsurprisingly. His socks were blown off by his gift, so we hid that one well. Ribs are Ribbing, he wants Mac n Cheese as a side. Dinner and then football, methinks.
Frontal lobotomy??Still waiting on some medical stuff before I can begin my new job/chapter
That's okay. You'll do great. While I haven't started my job yet, I'm already getting nervous.
Awww....We popped some popcorn and cuddled on the couch....love that.
Well, the next decade does start in 12 days, if my math is correct, so if you do swing up this way let me know and I'll show you around.
Nope, that's pretty much it in a nutshell.I could be wrong, but it's probably because that's what they knew when they came here and started building the communities
I'm sure we will be back round that way at some point. I am often a little south of there, in CT, and obviously a LOT south of there, in an anonymous attraction.Well, if you ever get back over to this side of the pond, let me know and we'll hook up for a drink or two...or three. I'll also show you around
I got hold of him, he's fine, just busy.Yeah, I'm glad you asked. Anyone seen him? Is he ok?
It was very good, even if I say so myself.Sounds like a wonderful meal!
Cheers bud. If you change your mind on the cream I'm totally good for it. The video put a smile on the boys face. In a "*** was that?" kinda wayNo need for any cream @londontime but thanks for the offer.
Happy birthday George!
Once y'all finish up the 50 with Alaska, then you might as well go on and add the Territories.

Or the place that started the whole damn party.
No. Not Spain, wisea$$.
Are you back in full time or do you still get to work from home? The hierarchy at Bricksburg don't want us back until at least March, which means it would be over a year since I've been to the office which feels weird just typing out.
Not back to the office to work until January so it is time for some relaxation.
For the first time in about two weeks I got a semi decent night’s sleep. Still need more but at least it’s something.
Maybe I'll just be like Cousin Eddie and hold out for a management position.
The garden of Eden?????
Dinner and then football, methinks.
Cheers. Yep, we are in full old school March time lockdown. Everything closed, no mixing, Christmas is cancelled. Ol Bo Jo announced it as I was bringing about 300 quid worth of Xmas food into the house, as we had plans for today, Xmas Eve and Xmas day.
Oh, and a truck load of beer and Bourbon, and Cadburys.
Supposed to start on the Yule Log (or as we call it Buche de Noel... which we then lovingly "translate" to "Christmas b!tch"...) today with oldest DD.
We are about to enter the tween zone, I fear the day when the Curly haired Ninja enters the realm of teendom.
Well... there's a ton of information out there on how teens... maybe even especially girl teens are absolutely horrid. Between the massive mood swings and the bullying and... well... you get the picture.
Don't believe everything you read.
Outside that I've got nothing, unless everyone wants me to regale my adventures in cleaning and organizing my house?
and obviously a LOT south of there, in an anonymous attraction.
Frontal lobotomy??
I always forget that it's not winter yet. To me, winter begins November 1st (unless we're having an unseasonably warm fall or warm spell) and ends in April/May.
Much better than when I lived up North and it was Sep 1 - June 1.
Cheers. Yep, we are in full old school March time lockdown. Everything closed, no mixing, Christmas is cancelled. Ol Bo Jo announced it as I was bringing about 300 quid worth of Xmas food into the house, as we had plans for today, Xmas Eve and Xmas day. Anybody wanna buy 8 pints of cream?
On a more positive note, I have the reek of Beef ribs on me today, and there are more for me. Oh, and a truck load of beer and Bourbon, and Cadburys.
Morning, Gents, from a still snow covered Cape Cod. Still waiting on some medical stuff before I can begin my new job/chapter...which at this point won't happen until after Christmas, which I'm fine with. While I haven't started my job yet, I'm already getting nervous. The HR person I spoke to is already looking to find a way to keep me on after this contract ends, so as a result, I don't want to screw this up...hence my nervousness. I do view the nervousness as a good thing. For me, it shows that I want to do a good job, and I do, but I'm still nervous. I know, "Shut up, you'll be fine." hahaha I sat down the DD yesterday afternoon to watch the movie "Spy Kids" and loved every minute of it. We popped some popcorn and cuddled on the couch....love that. Outside that I've got nothing, unless everyone wants me to regale my adventures in cleaning and organizing my house? (looks around and notices everyone looking away).Ok, then I've got nothing else.
You ever get that metal plate in your head replaced?
I never expected it to happen, but it turns out I really enjoy having teenagers.
Well, not when they're making fun of me/pointing out my hypocrisy/ignoring the advice I give them. But most of the time, they're actually a lot of fun.
Let's fire up the microwave and find out.You ever get that metal plate in your head replaced?
You should get her some Cadbury Mini Eggs. Those things are more addictive than booger sugar. And, DW loves Cadbury chocolate. Not sure what you Britons are doing, but keep up the good work.
Frontal lobotomy??
I would rather have a bottle in front of me instead of a Frontal lobotomy...
That's okay. You'll do great.![]()
Awww....![]()
Touché!
Morning chaps. Year end shenanigans around here today.
Nope, that's pretty much it in a nutshell.

Oh, wow. Look at the time. I gotta get to bed. I still gotta brush my teeth, feed the hog, still got some homework to do, still got those bills to pay, wash the car...
Another Monday morning. It seems we have a new COVID stimulus bill passed for everyone to get $600. Now, there are around 330 million people in the US, which means that would cost $200 billion. The stimulus amount though is for $900 billion. The first time was $1200, which means that have cost $400 billion. That stimulus amount was $2.2 trillion. After we default on all this debt, maybe the Canadians will take us over and Mexico will build the wall to prevent us from immigrating there.![]()
Nervousness isn't a bad thing as that extra energy/ hyper-awareness can be used to improve performance. However, when it becomes a problem when it lingers into anxiety.
I'm close to the same spot as you. I really want the job at the hospital, assuming the pay is where it should be. For me, I don't have the job, and have that nervousness waiting to hear. I will try not to dwell too much over the holidays.
Liking teenagers? And who has a metal plate in their head!![]()
There was a comedian who said the reason teenagers act so miserable is that parents won't be as upset to kick them out of the house.![]()
Still, I'm with you. I like it much better now that they can drive themselves. It ups my super lazy dad credit.
Who doesn't love Gatorland???I am often a little south of there, in CT, and obviously a LOT south of there, in an anonymous attraction.
TWSSIf you change your mind on the cream I'm totally good for it.
Thanks!And happy birthday to DD!
They can be.I never expected it to happen, but it turns out I really enjoy having teenagers.

Hawaii is beckoning, me thinks.I would prefer a full time warmer climate.

Nah. In public? Definitely. At home? She'll need you more than ever.I'll take all the cuddles I can get right now. In a couple of years she won't want to be seen with me.
Sounds like a cure for something that didn't need fixing in the first place.Nice shots. I feel warmer already.
I can fix that with a quick trip outdoors, though.
Yes it was.A terrific end to the Mandalorian, Season 2.

Add in the San Juan National Historic Site ad you'll pick up two stamps and knock out the eastern territories (the Pacific ones will be tougher to get to though).I could get on board with that plan. St. John would provide a nice stamp for the National Park passport.
Nailed it. Gotta love the smell of vaguely stinky animals in a tropical heat setting. Can't get enough of the place.Who doesn't love Gatorland???
Morning sunshine! Welcome to, er....... Londontime? Muse away, we ain't goin' nowheres.Hay Y'all...
Sleepin' ain't happenin', so I figured I bother y'all.
(besides you can either read or - better yet - ignore me at you're leisure, so I ain't really doing much damage.)
Gotta love Corporate logic. They are "allowing" us to work from home next week as the year-end closing process starts up on Sunday. We weren't allowed to take time off before or during the holidays, when the work load was fairly slow, but spending all day in the home offices while the work load is off the scale is apparently supposed to make up for the.
Sounds like a cure for something that didn't need fixing in the first place.
mmmm... home made?It was punctured by the highlight of a toasted sausage n egg sandwich, so this morning was not a total washout.
Actually... in all seriousness. I've been a couple times (mind you, the last was over 20 years ago... closer to 30) and really enjoyed it. Underrated, I think.Nailed it. Gotta love the smell of vaguely stinky animals in a tropical heat setting. Can't get enough of the place.

Naaa...
They had us back in the office in late August. It's a more conducive environment for micromanaging.

Morning y'all from a sunny London. Up early with the China markets, then went to the tip to get rid of boxes that probably equate to Amazon's cardboard order for February (all hail the great Bezos). More shopfitting manual rivetation today. It was punctured by the highlight of a toasted sausage n egg sandwich, so this morning was not a total washout.
Yep. Butchers house made Breakfast Pork Sausage, Fried egg, white toast. Ketchup. boom.mmmm... home made?
You should get her some Cadbury Mini Eggs. Those things are more addictive than booger sugar.
Because I care about doing a good job, I see nerves as a good thing. And thankfully I've never reached the level of anxiety....maybe come close, but never reached it.
Hawaii is beckoning, me thinks.
Yes it was.
The series has offered chances for several characters to be somewhat redeemed. The teaser for the spin-off was rather interesting as well. Now we'll just have to wait and see where they take the story from here.
Have a good one, all. I'm in the middle of a tough three shifts. 8 hours on, 8 hours off, 8 hours on, 8 hours off, 8 hours on, with the last shift from 11pm to 7am tonight. Joy.
